Hi,
Today i've just tried to root my Xperia Z2 with "EasyRootTool v10" (found on this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2784900 )
I've launched the .bat file but it's stuck at "cleaning up_"
And after 2 hours, it's the same thing....
When I unplug it, the device is "semi-rooted" and i can't do anything linked to the root access...
Why does the program "crash" ?

try Version 5 , it worked like a charm for me and it only took like 2 minutes.

Are you sure you read the last 2 pages in that thread? there's lots of info about the v10.
Re-run the program and it will work.

hello.
when i go to terminal and enter su it says error and when i use Screenshot app it says "this app is only for rooted phones" or something like that... it doesnt even ask super user app for root access like the previous version of root..
i dont think my phone got rooted. what should i do from here
any help would be appreciated thanks.
EDIT: if you redo step 3 this issue is resolved. (if you anyone else experiences this)

Just repeat the step 3 again .. If this dosnt work then repeat the whole procedure again .. simple as that ..

you can use many apps which need root access. Just search google for that.
But for testing whether you have root access or not, just download an app called titanium backup form the market. When you open the app, it says "root: OK" .. if not, it says "root access denied" or something like that. Hope this helps

I really have no Idea about that dude !! coz I bought an unlocked x10 paying the full price ..
But I guess you can remove the branding by the debranding tutorial which was posted in the forums long back.

If you follow this rooting procedure you will end up with generic (debranded) UK R2BA020 ROM on your phone

and I have a probelm in "recovery fasher" the butoon is not enabled when I write the path of the recovery file in my SD card .. I tested all way ..
I cahnge the name of SD card .. and write "/sdcard/recovery-RA-HERO-v1.2.3.img" and nothing haped .. still the butoon iss disable ..

Does flash rec work on this rom? Isn't a goldcard needed?
Disclaimer, I am very tired so maybe flashrec works. Backup pols recovery first though.

CDMA doesn't use a SIM card and the phone spec is slightly different i think. It is typically only seen with Sprint users in the US.
GSM is used worldwide. However, the guide you followed was for CDMA users - so suggesting users of the GSM forums should follow that guide will only serve to confuse people and may possibly cause their phone to break (depending on the guide). It would be nice to clear this up so that the topic can be removed if it is inappropriate.
Yesterday I rooted my Note 3, but it worked the whole day and I didn't really do anything with it.
When I started it today it wasn't booting. Could anyone please help me out :crying:

Ok I found out that the only way to fix my phone is flashing the Rom in fastboot. Does anyone know where to get it from?
I am not an expert, i know next to nothing. I have ordered this phone and was browsing on how to root and stuff and found this link

Ok so i got an "Allview E4" not the lite version. It's not a chinese fake or knockoff. It's just made in china it works really well, etc... Well, i can't root it.. There is no way to root it, impossible, No "One-click root" softwares/apks work, and also the fact that it has no "install" in the recovery menu isn't helping, oh and it's in chinese as well

For me it worked at first with kingroot.
Then I found boot.img on needrom, and patched it with magisk (via adb/fastboot), and now I have magisk root

I am on xperia z1 . maybe like a month ago my phone started going coocoo for coco puffs . my battery is crap and all but this isn't the battery's doing . what happens is that my apps and games constantly misbehave . i made a factory reset like 3 times already but every time the problem recreates itself . game gets stuck on splash logo , or stops responding or won't start at all . i even can't launch "app cache cleaner 1 tap" app now which i only just installed . so , even the only installed apps from the store get bugged , yet alone other ones . sometimes what helps is to force close an app and delete it's data/cache . but that doesn't work every time and is time consuming , annoying and simply not a pleasant android experience ...
P.S : it's android 5.1.1 . not rooted or fiddled with it whatsoever ...

i think stock system is corrupted so you have to flash again...
backup / save ur personal data to PC and reflash
what would be the best flash tool , could use some links and tuts , never done that

hey as i know flashing stock didn't need unlocked bootloader...
but if it needs.. go to about phone click bulid nunber 5 time then there will be developer options in settings (2nd last) open these enable developer option and enable oem unlocking or bootloader unlocking..

Unfortunately, there is no mention of that OEM or bootloader in options.

i dunno . i gave it to the husband of my girlfriend's friend and he said to have flashed the newest ROM available legally for this device of mine but the software issues keep persisting again in the same fashion . apps freezeing , randm crashes , failed launches , system restarts etc .
it came to the point a phone is almost unusable now ...

try a custom rom maybe it works... find any custom rom which is stble
