Anyone know how to make it so I can see my live wallpaper through my lock screen like in AOSP?

I have been poking around trying to figure this out as well, with no luck. I was hoping there would be a way to disable to lockscreen wallpaper (and the stupid unlock swipe animation) as a way to hold me over until we get an unlocked bootloader and AOSP roms!
gravity box has the option but i havent been able to make it work

my Phone isnt rooted or anything, its a standard phone.
Any Ideas

Download widget locker from market it has a variety of lockscreens and extras.
Mod the lockscreen without root? Nah... you root access to replace system files.

if you are not rooted, most probably you will see two lockscreens.
anyway, lockscreen alternatives are; widgetlocker, lockbot, lockit etc......
Does anyone know how to replace the standard lockscreen on a rooted stock 2.2?
I have Widget Locker but now and again the original screen pops up and it can be a bit of a pain sometimes.

in my opinion, the reason you see 2 lockscreens is because of android system 5 second rule. any lockscreen other than stock one, will have to wait 5 to initialize. however, in widget locker you can bypass this rule. turn on home helper option in behaviour, and make sure 5 sec bypass is checked. if it is unchecked, check it.

This is an issue with htc sense roms. on aosp roms like cm6 or cm7, the original lock never shows up with the 5 second root bypass rule activated.
Try Lockbot Pro..it has a variety of Lock screens to choose from like Eclair style, iPhone, Froyo etc....it shows up only one lock screen though..and you ve an option to unlock the screen using any hardware button not just power button, nifty feature
For not visualizer 2 lockscreen you must use no lock
Well I've been playing with lock screen on RAZR, the default one I think is just... 'pathetic'? I'd like to have a more custom one with more options and stuff.
I've tried WidgetLocker but sadly It won't work right with phone, sometimes takes long to show, buggy, or shows both lock screens + pattern etc... It's an absolutely mess.
I've read that you can flash a custom lock screen in any phone, and since mine is Deoxeded with eternityproject's rom I should be able, but reading documentation I found It says is a dangerous thing to do since you can easily corrupt your android since this feature is deeply installed on it.
So I would ask for help to someone who can help us to give the last custom tweak for it. I am not an expert on Android, but I like to tweak and learn about it since I just started to code stuff for android last year, would like to learn more about It's structure and so on.

it's free and work nice
I use it since my RAZR.... on my Desire HD with CyanogenMod where you can disable it in options
PS : you can also Use my favorite home Launcher who have a custom and changeable Lock screen (for me the best launcher ever !!!

Oh sorry well, this is not only a question but a proposal for developing alternative lock screen.
Well that No lock app might remove it but we find the problem when you get a new lock screen from any app it will take long etc... so only idea I get is replacing it from Android system itself.
Unless you're rooted and flash a custom ROM that has its own custom lock screen. Or if you are rooted then go to droidpirate.com download a lock screen and use metamorph app to install it. Just make sure its compatible for the Razr

Widgetlocker works great for me. make sure root helper is on. Also try go locker and miuilocker.

i am using go locker and in works like a charm, but i will probably convert back to stock, because i am missing this silent activation on go locker...cant find a way to put it on the lockscreen, anybody maybe an idea?
sadly enough for me I can't use a custom lockscreen without the stock lockscreen also showing - due to having Exchange set up on my phone and my work's Exchange server enforcing PIN lock -_-...
IMHO, it's a bad idea to develop a custom lockscreen right now 'cause we'll upgrade to ICS soon...
...and its lockscreen behavior should be different from the GB one.
It would be a good idea starting to develop directly on ICS.
Hello, I'm using Photon 4G with CM7.2, but I don't like the lockscreen in it, and other lockscreens too (Go locker etc.), most of all I loved the stock moto lockscreen. Is it possible to revert to it? Thanks
I'd recommend giving Milocker a try. It basically ports all off MIUI's lock screens to any other phone, and I've seen home created Blur lock screens in there that look pretty damn good.

CM comes with a couple different lock screen options included. Have you changed them in menu>settings>cyanogenmod settings> somewhere in one of the options (sorry, don't run CM so I don't know the exact path )?
Id check out the ones that are already integrated into the rom before installing a 3rd party lockscreen. The installable options aren't terrible but I've experienced consistency issues while testing and some don't play well with security set on the phone.
Regarding if moto lock screen can run on that rom in short, no. The lock screen isn't just an apk that can be pushed, and if it were I could guarantee there would be a dependency on the framework. That's how HTC used to keep people from jacking their lock screen back in the day. Now its all integrated tightly into the framework (or was it systemui now?) so you could design a theme for your lock screen that's moto inspired if you felt like playing with some apks and pngs. The Motorola lock screen isn't a far departure from being a themed stock lock so really there would be no smali work involved. Plug and play images, flash, change some more, flash .... repeat until happy.
I think youll be extremely happy with Widget Locker and CM7 together. Thats the combo i ran on my Evo before i got my Mopho. You can turn off the lock screen in CM7,and just run WL. Seamless!

hello. if this has been asked before, please point me to the thread and lock this one. i am wondering if it is possible to make your lock screen wallpaper a live wall paper like you can your home screen? i know with the gs3 you could do it from settings, but in my lgog the lock screen settings doesnt have the option to select live wallpapers for it. it only lets me use gallery pics or wallpaper pics, not live wallpapers. so does anyone know of a trick to get it to enable live wallpapers on the lock screen? thank you for your time.
I just got done scouring the internet for an app or mod to do this but I came up empty. I think there was some weird limitation because there was plenty of interest for something like this and a few bootleg ideas.
The best of those is clear lockscreens which let you see a live wallpaper if one is set as your normal background, but that's the best you can do at least for now. Just search for clear or transparent lockscreens to try it.

Well you could delete(make sure to copy it somewhere first) lockscreen3.apk and you will have the ability but you lose the shortcuts and the lock screen just looks like this and the camera button doesn't even work

And I have tried the clear .png and it doesn't work. The lockscreen app has a white background behind it that I don't believe is an image, so I don't know how you would take it out.
This is my 6th Android upgrade and the first to seemly not allow me to set a live wallpaper as my lock screen. Anyone have any success doing this? I've told the live wallpaper to set to lockscreen but it does nothing. Live wallpaper isn't even an option when I choose wallpaper from Lockscreen in the Settings. There are probably ways around this, but those will likely lose the fingerprint support.
Edit: I used custom ROMs on all of those previous devices, btw. Was I simply spoiled??
Definitely Rom-specific. Was not available as an option on the G4 either
