What the gentleman above said. It's good to have the menu back without delay of long press.

I've tried getting the menu button back with TweaksBox but just doesn't seem to want to work. Tried what the app suggests plus rebooted and nothing... Am I just missing something?

I had to go into display, home buttons, button combo to add it after enabling

I downloaded boot controol... it's a widget, free on the market, you have to be rooted, really usefull, try it
If you're on froyo head over to themes section and flash the feeling the style 2.2 theme. If gingerbread, most themes there have "extended power menu mod".

I tried the tutorial but it was too complicated for me, i've been using android for around 2-3weeks and without any precoding experience. Is it possible that you could help me out if I uploaded the required files?
Thanks in advance!
Hello requesting menu button remap for the home screen on ATT/Telus One X+. Here is more info
Thanks!
There is a setting to remap the recent apps button to menu button. That works everywhere but the home screens. you just get nothing. Here is a picture from turges thread in the reg one x forums, shows then menu you get when you press recent apps. He offered a modified rosie that adds this feature. Landscape would be icing on the cake. On this phone, pressing the recent apps on the home-screen gets you nothing.

You need to go to Settings/Display, gestures & buttons/Recent apps button/and select either of the second two options.
To make full use of the screen when gaming, I'd like to hide the navigation bar.
Can anyone recommend an app in which I can hold the power button down & select an option to hide the bar?
Thanks xda members.

Don't know any which have options tied into the power button though.

Thank you both SweFox & liqn7. I will try both.
I went with GMD Auto Hide Soft Keys PRO...
Great app with many options. It does what it says. Now I can make full use of the 6.44'' screen.
Thank you guys.

Sorry for reading this topic so late, but I'll give my advice anyway: go for GMD Gesture, it has way more options than Auto Hide...

Try G2 xposed from market.. you need root and xposed for this to work.
Sent from my LG-D620
you can root and use the xposed g2 settings and enable button combinations. than you can change it however you want including remove the menu button
