deleted contacts after change rom - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone..
Today I've rooted and changed my room .(to archi)
When I changed the ROM I cleaned all the data from device. In mistaken I backup the contacts on the internal memory instead on the external SD card.. And because of that the contacts are deleted..
Is there any chance to restore the contacts?? I has almost 900 contacts ..
Pliz save me !
Thanks !!

For another times use Google or Samsung backup
Also I don´t think that you don´t see your contacts anymore.

Using Backup & Restore where is the backup file saved to?

Im having problems with my phone, Contact Names getting mixed up battery charging light , comes on by its self. sometimes my phone doesnt charge when it is plugged in..
So, am going to do a FULL WIPE inc a SD Card format. to hopefully eliminate any virus's or what ever the problem is that is causing the problems.
Anyway.. I have just done a backup using Backup & Restore. for contacts , sms and things like that.. But it took a while to back up and I have saved the backup as 2 Apr... On my SD Card I have a folder called Backup, and 2 Apr.sbf
It is less than 1 meg..
Is that the whole backup file???
Of course it is. How big do you think has to be 100mb ?!? These files are very small size, contacts, sms etc...1 mb is absolutely normal size for backup of that kind.

[Q] How to restore backed up data from USB flash drive or interernal memory of phone?

I had been using JB stock rom. Yesterday I installed this enigma rom in my phone. It's working perfectly well and I became a fan of it. It's really a great work.
Congrats..!!!!
Now I am facing a problem. Before changing the rom, I backed up all the datas including contacts, calendar, notes etc using the back up/reset option in the USB flash drive as well as in internal memory of phone. When I installed the enigma rom, back up/reset function works in a different way and there is no option to restore the data stored in either flash drive or in internal memory. So I am not able to restore my datas that I have already backed up.
Please help me to restore my backed up datas either from USB flash drive or from internal memory of phone. Since I am new in this field, please tell me step by step instructions.
Please reply me immediately and I am eagerly waiting for it.

[Q][Help] Need help to backup and restore for root, currently on KitKat

Hey everyone! So I recently installed KitKat (4.4.2) and I completely hate it. Many of my apps are no on working and I do not have permission to write on my SD card. The problem is I plan on rooting on my phone to get back the writing permissions on my sd card; however, many of the backup apps I'm using are no longer working as intended due to the sd card limits. And since rooting my phone is going to cause me to lose my data, what should I do? I have multiple apps that I still need the data from. Is there an app can still backup my content (apps, games(with data), sms, etc) and be able to restore it on KitKat? Please let me know!
I'm using Samsung Galaxy S4
Thanks!!
*Bump*
you can try
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.riteshsahu.SMSBackupRestore&hl=en
it creates a xml backup of your contacts and sms - it can also do apps but I havent tried that
But I think it can only write to SD - be that external sd card or an internal sd card
You could try exporting contacts to sim card then you import them from the sim
Anything else I can think of would require root access

Restoring whats app msgs a couple of days old??

Hello Everyone,
I need some help restoring whats app msgs which are a couple of days old.I own a Samsung S4 mini.
I got my phone un-rooted and flashed the samsung stock ROM(Android version 4.4.2)
My internal SD card got formatted due to this. But I had taken a google drive back up as well as a local back up of the Database folder of my whats app on my PC before flashing the ROM.
On flashing the ROM, I installed the latest whats app version 2.12.449 .I tried to restore my msgs from the google drive back up but wasnt able to no matter what I did. It failed everytime. I skipped restoring the back up and my google drive back up got overwritten with only the new msgs.
I uninstalled and re-installed whats app.
While restoring the only option it gave me was to restore it using the backup on google drive (overwritten one) which was pointless. So,I tried doing the below steps mentioned in the Whats App FAQs to manually restore a local back up which was a day old.

To restore a less recent local backup
Your phone will store up to the last 7 days worth of local backup files (Google Drive will only have the most recent). If you wish to restore a local backup which is not the most recent, you will need to do the following:
Download a file manager. Here are some choices: File Managers and Explorers.
In the File Manager, navigate to sdcard/WhatsApp/Databases. If your data is not stored on the SD card, you may see internal storage or main storage instead of sdcard.
Rename the backup file you wish to restore from msgstore-YYYY-MM-DD.1.db.crypt8 to msgstore.db.crypt8.
Uninstall WhatsApp.
Install WhatsApp.
Tap Restore when asked.
This dint help either . It simply doesnt detect the local backup on my internal SD card. It only restored the back up on my google drive by default. Also there is no option to choose whether to restore back up from your SD card or google drive.
I have tried searching all the forums to find a solution to the above problem but couldn't :'(
Is there any way to resolve this issue apart from installing the message extractor on your PC and decoding the DB files??
