I thought that I read somewhere that there were some demo videos pre-installed for the purpose of showing the screen resolution capability. I have not been able to find them. Has anybody seen them?

I found mine in the Gallery. Its in a folder called Preload. Also you can go to the File Manager, click the Video icon then click the Preload folder.

I started a thread on the verizon community and received a link to a very helpful member's dropbox with both the videos that came with the phone. They are BEAUTIFUL!!!

I thought so as well. You need to use max brightness and turn off power saving for the full WOW effect.

Not sure if its something with just my phone, but I can't get it to come off auto, just on the videos pre_installed on the phone.
Looks cool, but can't even view in full brightness.
In the menu for the video, click settings, brightness and turn off auto there. It has a sepatate setting that overrides the phone setting.

I was the one who put them out on the vzw forum for ya. If anybody needs them here, here are the links. They were located on a folder "Preload" on my G3. There were also 3 music files that I didn't post but let me know and I will,put them up on Dropbox if anybody needs them also.

Anyone have the NIV database for the YOUVERSION Bible app? If it follows the naming scheme of the others, it should be something like niv.1.sqlite3 possibly in either
sdcard\.youversion\
or
data\.youversion\
I got it on my old phone when they were offering it as a download, got the atrix, formatted the sd card and now I don't have the database. Anyone who downloaded it during that window willing to post it?
me also. I want the niv .sqlite3 file of YouVersion app. I lost my Nexus One which has the niv offline version. The niv offline version is not available anymore to download it into my Nexus S =(

I copied them into the the .youversion (hidden) folder on the SD card and could then select them from the bible list. However, the app force closes every time after selecting one of the two bible you provided. I removed the files, and the app works fine again. I don't have any idea what to do next.

I've done a little investigating. It appears that the iPhone files that you guys are passing around are structurally a little different than the Android versions.
The iPhone files doesn't appear to have the verses in two different tables encoded, on the Android those two columns are encoded. I'm not sure how they are encoded though.
btw, If anyone has the Android version of the NLT Bible and wouldn't mind sharing...... Also, Thanks ndim for the file.

You can install the apk's but if you are not in a country that supports them they will not work.

to confirm above experiences, yes apps install but you need to be in compatible region for them to actually work as they all go online to check etc.
I'm not sure whether the region is tied to your IP address or your actual device, if the latter then I'm not going to be to happy ROFL since I could very well have bought it in Australia (where everything IS working) instead of Hong Kong (where nothing is working... which is the exact opposite of the usual situation, but I digress).
I bought my sgpt111US/S in the us, since I'm here for vacation. Normaly I live in Sweden. Here in us the music and video and ps store all works well. I will go back home to Sweden on the 10th of january. Iwill ofcourse try and see if these apps works back home. If no one has chacked this issue before then I'll be happy to oblige.
Not sure though however if Sweden is included in the list of countries that works.
It will be an us machine on swedish soil.
Music Unlimited in Canada
I noticed yesterday that I was able to finally download the Music Unlimited app from the market with my Sony arc. Until now it was not available in Canada. I installed it on my desktop, set up the account synced my music to the service then checked on my Arc to see if it was working. Everything was fine.
The catch was when I went to access the application on my Tablet S through the market. Nowhere to be found. I then accessed the market online through the desktop and found the application but it would not allow a download to any of my devices stating that it is unavailable in my country. Undeterred I checked here, found the APK (thanks , transferred it onto the tablet, installed it and had no issue and everything is fine.
It may just be because it's new to Canada and has not been enabled within all the markets yet for Canada. Going to see if I can get it working on the PS3 now.
Can someone share the latest music unlimited app to me? Thanks.
Because it required me to update and I am not able to download it from android market due to not available in my country.

by Deadlocked007, these map packs are set for HTC locations and Premium Navigation. Basically once you have the app installed it will give you the option to
download maps for offline viewing.

Won't these need to be renamed for the phone to recognize it when you move it to the .data folder? They don't appear to have the same names as the ones you'd get straight from the phone.

I went on to double check the names. Apparently the Minus site is down for whatever reason, not sure why but as of now its not letting me log in via handset or browser. Just boots up a blank screen? The full name that I currently see on my sd card when viewing properties shows as this...

If these names are not the same as above during download something must be going on w/ minus. Soon as it will actually let me view their site again, I'll make sure I resolve the problem or even find a better place to upload them.

Correcta mondo!
I spent a whole day d/l the US maps to my phone and spent the greater part of a whole night uploading them to my minus account. I currently only have the US maps d/l so far. I suppose I can check out the others and d/l them as well. I'll grab the India one first and so forth and keep going from there. This does take time though so just fyi

I would like to update Brian's NT apk, but the link takes me to multiupload, which I haven't got a clue how to use? I see his apk there, but there are so many download buttons. Do I have to register to get his apk? Sorry, that I am so new to this forum. I did forum search but did not get how to use that multiupload.

just click on one of the download links, they are all free. the only reason why you would need a premium subscription is to get faster speeds and better features. i doubt u need any of that since the app is like really small in size anyways.
i recommend using the mediafire link if available

First, thank you for responding. I"ve tried most of the download links on that Multiupload. They take me to their sites; file not available. Mediafire is not there? I really like Brian's apk, but I downloaded it when he first invented it; and he has added to it since then. I like to get his latest version.
The majority of those sites are shutting down in response to Megaupload getting busted by the DOJ. The other sites are stopping their filesharing so that they too don't get seized by the government and the admins/owners arrested.
