If you have TWRP installed that is all you need to root this device on KitKat. From TWRP reboot the device and it will tell you if it's missing root and offer to install SuperSU for you if it is. Once the device reboots tap the SuperSU notification that pops up (or open the program normally if there is no notification) and select the option to install the binaries using the recovery script.

I am new to A116 but an old android fan so when I bought the mobile I thought of rooting it but as many have some problem, I am going to give the easiest rooting method which may work for any devices.
It works on the latest stock rom too.
Rooting:
Method 1: Can be done from mobile
Requirements:
Framaroot (search on Google )
Steps:
1)Open Framaroot
2)Select the exploit such as Boromir
3)It will ask you to restart. Just Restart
4)Now Ur Rooted. But the SuperSU is old.
Method 2:Can be done from mobile with Computer
Requirements:
1)SP Flash Tools (Search on Google)
2)TWRP or CWM (Get it from here)
TWRP : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2539763
CWM : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2290174
3)Latest SuperSU zip (Search on Google)
4)Knowledge of Flashing through SP Flash Tools
Steps:
1)Copy the SuperSU zip to root of your SD card
2)Flash the recovery through SP Flash Tools
3)Now goto recovery and flash the SuperSU zip
4)Now ur rooted. The latest SuperSU is installed into the system along with the new binary.
Alternate Step:
1)If you have flashed CWM recovery and have not downloaded the SuperSU zip then you can still root the phone.
2)Just get into recovery and then click to restart system.
It will ask to root the device.
3)Go to the Yes option and when u restart, your phone will be rooted. But the SuperSU is old. So update from PlayStore
Updating to Custom Recovery:
Method 1: Can be done from mobile
Requirements:
1)U r Rooted
2)Mobile Uncle MTK Tools(Download from PlayStore)
3)TWRP or CWM recovery(Download from above given links)
Steps:
1)Now if you have the recovery downloaded then copy it to root of your SD card and rename it to recovery.img
2)Open the Mobile Uncle MTK Tools and grant SuperSU permission
3)Go to recovery update option and click on the recovery.img
4)It will ask to reboot. Now here is the critical step. Just wait 10-15 secs without rebooting because if you reboot suddenly then the recovery that the MTK tools is copying will be stopped and the recovery will get corrupted and when you boot into recovery, u will just see black screen.
This means take out the battery and do the steps again.
5)Now you have a custom recovery installed to flash ur zips
Method 2:Can be done from computer only
No need to be rooted
Requirements:
1)SP Flash tools
2)Knowledge of flashing through flash tools
3)Custom Recovery Downloaded
Step:
This is just like flashing ur rom but instead of choosing all the partition in the recovery, just tick the recovery partition and show where u have the recovery downloaded.
Now click download and after it is finished
U can go to recovery to see if it is flashed successfully.
Updating to latest SuperSU:This can only be done through mobile
Method 1:
1)Update from PlayStore.
2)Then open it and update the su binary
3)Now you can do it normally but if it fails you can choose the CWM/TWRP option to go to recovery and update the binary.
4)Now open SuperSU and go to option of installing it into the system.
5)Now reboot and check if installed because if not installed, root is lost and u have to root again.
Now 2nd method is the surest and best method to update to latest SuperSU and have the binary installed automatically
Method 2:
1)Download the latest SuperSU zip
2)Enter the recovery and flash the zip.
3)Now u can reboot to see that latest SuperSU is installed directly into the system
Q) Now users may ask why do we need to install SuperSU into system?
A) It is very simple. U may have a app that ask for root permission just after booting.
If SuperSU is not is installed in system then the permission will be denied and app stops working. This may be critical if u apps like Seeder or Greenify or Link2Sd or such installed and the permission gets denied.
Don't worry root is not lost but it is delayed to the time when your SD card is fully mounted by the system.
This type of delay can be experienced by anyone who has lots of apps installed.
Sometimes due to quickly booting the SD card gets mounted later thus the delay again.
So it's better if you install the SuperSU into system. This way no problem will occur.
Thanks for reading. Hopefully this will help everyone.
Hit thanks if it helped "YOU"

yeah but it was hard.
first upgrade to unrooted .402 (flash .402 with flashtool)
then run easyroot v5 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2784900
i had to do it twice for some reason
next install dual recovery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785598
it should boot you into recovery after install, if not something went wrong
i think dualrecovery should install the ndrutils app, but if not get it from the play store and set your recovery to twrp
then download supersu from here and sideload http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu
when prompted to update binaries, select twrp/cwm and then load into twrp after reboot (vol down i believe), go to reboot your system and you should be prompted to fix root on reboot
your binaries should then be fixed

My tab is not rooted yet. I was hoping to install custom recovery first and then flash supersu using the custom recovery. I am not very fond of Kingroot, Kingoroot or iroot.

First root ur tab with kingroot then replace it with supersu and uninstall kingroot. Then flash the recovery using rashr flash tool. A guide is available for replacing kingroot with supersu.....

first root ur tab with kingroot and then grant root permission to rashr-flash tool
and then flash twrp recovery using rashr
and very important after flashing twrp recovery make a backup to ur sd card if u make any mistake with supersume process it would be easy to restore from it as the backup makes an current rom image
u can replace kingroot with supersu with an app know as supersume which removes kingroot
or simply just follow instruction on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/twrp-3-tab2-a7-10f-t3405991

Hello,
i'm trying to root a Sharp B10 (SH-A01) with Magisk.
It would be nice if i could do this without unlocking because i want to keep the stock rom anyway.
First problem is that i can't find a custom recovery (TWRP, CWM) for this device from where i could install Magisk.
Then i found out that Magisk gives the possibility to root a device through the Magisk Manager App by patching the boot.img.
But the second problem is that i can't find the boot.img either. I spotted the boot partition on the device and tried to pull with adb but i would need an already rooted device to give the needed permissions.
Is there anything else I could do to get this thing rooted besides compiling my own TWRP for the device?
thanks a lot,
paul

Neither Magisk nor TWRP is needed to root Android: Chainfire's SuperSu does the job. You flash its ZIP via stock recovery "adb sideload"

Hi,
thanks for your answer.
I already managed to root this device. I got the boot.img with Wwr_MTK & SP flash tool (windows tools...), patched it with the magisk app and than flashed the patched boot.img
1. Unlock your bootloader enter in download mode Vol+ + Vol- + USB conected to pc (Keep in mind that by doing this you will lose your files, it is advisable to make a backup of your photos, music, etc.)
2. Once you start your cell phone install magisk manager, Choosing the boot.img file of your rom into the app (Tip: Only!!! If your model is SM-A015M Android 11 I leave you my own modified boot.img to flash:
File on MEGA
mega.nz
Otherwise, you can download the firmware (3.79 gb) and extract the boot.img from the firmware of your model SM-A015 M / F ... Android 10, Android 11... etc. And No need for pc
https://samfrew.com/model/SM-A015M/
3. The image will begin to flash
4. When it restarts you will have Root on the cell phone!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Extra: If you need the custom recovery I give you the link with my TWRP which is installed through the Odin program on a PC (this step does not delete your files)
File on MEGA
mega.nz
Keep in mind that to install TWRP you must deactivate the DM-VERITY & FORCEENCRYPT DISABLER I leave it in a link:
Zackptg5 - Android
zackptg5.com
This is a module that can be installed via magisk, which is necessary to decrypt the system ... so once TWRP is installed, it is advisable to uninstall it via Magisk to avoid R / W errors
Hi, thank you in advance for everything
I have bought one year ago a so&so phone (65$ on AE) : a FLUO N device.
It isn't a good phone, but it the least but not last i could choose at that time.
Well, all i want to do is to root it with supersu or with other tool. I can't find any recovery tool compatible for the device so in my lack of knowledge i haven't find any method to root this android 8.1 phone. KingRoot doesn't work, KingoRoot idem. Neither framaroot or other. I want to try magisk but it seems that it's a root tool but i can use it only if phone is already rooted. It seems that i can root it with a recovery tool, but it seems that i can't install a recovery tool if my phone isn't already rooted (and i can't find any recovery tool compatible with this little $hit )
I really hope that i'm wrong and so i'm here asking.
So i'm here asking if there's a method to root it simply by adb pushing a file in it. In Developer options it has "Unblock OEM -- It allows to unblock bootloader" enabled.
There's something i can do?
Thanky you so much in advance again.
Dav
@zatecaz
To root a device's Android neither Magisk nor any Custom Recovery ( TWRP et. al ) is needed. SuperSU should do the job.
If i dowload and install supersu apk when i open it this is what it says "Root undetected -- How To Root". If i click "how to root" it redirects me to supersu.com/faq/howtoroot that fails to load.
Now, i download either supersu apk that flashable zip. Is there a method to flash supersu.zip without a TWRP/CWM?
TWRP: doesn't exist a package for this phone. Does exist a generic twrp image for every android 8.1 ?
CWM: i could install it from Rom Manager but to do so the phone need to be already rooted. Or where can i find a cwm.img to be installed by adb and fastboot?
So without custom recovery, could i use my phone recovery and adb sideload to push supersu.zip ?
Thank you again
Dav

Yes, that's the correct method.
