Battery threads like these always misleads people since people are trying to brag about their max up-time. It would be better if people included information as setting, rom and daily usage.
On track: My phone usually last around +/-15hours. Data off usually when I don't use it, with below average internet usage, only checking up stuff now and then.
Listen to a lot of music and usually below 100 texts a day. A few calls now and then as well.
I'm using Apocalypse (final) and setCPU(max 844MHz) to enchant it with profiles

What matters the most is screen on time, screen brightness and connection type (2g/3g/wifi/airplane-mode, data on/off). Talk-time matters IF you talk much. Screen and internet on 3g are eating most of your battery.
But in the end everything matters and none of the results are really comparable. So if someone's battery last a little longer then yours, you just don't worry about it. Tomorrow yours might last longer.
Usually 12-14 hours when I am at home (using wifi, using no mobile data, 40% brightness). Usually 6 hours when I am outside (using mobile data, 100% brigthness, sometimes GPS). I have a special pouch for my phone, with pockets for another two batteries. When I am going outside, I have two fully charged batteries with me. 8^) So I can kill green piggies for hours with no fear of no energy. 8^)

Omega v34 ROM

Hi,
I am using Omega v34 ROM and battery very, very bad. On stock rom I had, at least one full day of usage, but now it is a figt to go through working day (7-9h).
I wiped battery stats following a procedure, but that didn't help at all.
And one more thing TouchWizz is crashing at least 5 times a day.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
You would need to provide more information.
Have you check what's draining your battery? (you can find a general list in settings--> battery)
You should also try to use better battery stats and ask on the BBS thread/forum for help there to see what the culprit is.
I have between 8hrs to almost 2 days depending on usage.
It seems like screen is using allmost 40% of battery.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
set it to automatic brightness. Also use better battery stats and do a full day or night log and ask for help in their forum to see what might be draining your phone.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
As mentioned above, sounds like you might have a wakelock somewhere. You can identify any rogue apps with better battery stats and then uninstall or freeze them. Try using power saving mode, you shouldn't really notice any decrease in performance but your battery life will improve. You should be able to get screen on time off about 3 - 4 hours.

How can I do this log?

Stop using those apps. They use more battery than they save.

"battery saving" apps are really bad for your phone to begin with. remove that junk first. It's probably one ofnthe culprits keeping your phone awake.
then do the BBS thing I mentioned earlier.

Issues connecting to unsecured wifi hotspots
Using Omega v34 and love it! but when I try to connect to my unsecure wifi at work it won't connect. Please help
There seems to have been quite a lot of discussion regarding issues with battery life on Omega 34, in the Omega thread. Because of battery issues that some people are experiencing, Chris_84 has a suggestion in his FAQ (question 27).
You could try a different kernel. Apparently the Yank kernel is pretty good for battery life (I use Siyah version 1.8.4 with Omega 34 and get brilliant results, but then I don't use my phone that heavily. The Siyah kernel allows you to tweak some settings that help with battery).
Also, a lot of comments in the Omega thread talk about installing BBS (Better Battery Stats, as per the comments by mputtr) and posting the log file into the BBS thread (or even in the Omega thread).

Not sure, but have you tried;
a) Removing the WiFi profile off your phone and setting it up again.
or
b) Reset the router (if work let you)...

Hello buddy,
I am using L9 from past 8 months, with 1 full day of battery backup using phone normally. So according to my experience best battery saver is do not use any power saver app. Because LG's L9 dev team have already optimised L9 rom and its hardware to save maximum power. 1 more suggestion for battery saving is keep brightness level at 35% and keep touch vibration feedback off specially for keyboard.

Titanium Backup...and freeze a lot of unnecessary application
Stock LG is already good, which is a pleasant surprise coming from the LG Optimus One (dreadful battery life on Froyo until I flashed custom ROM and kernel) and Nexus S (a bit better but still needs custom kernel). Just disable what you don't use (JB can do this natively), keep the brightness at the lowest comfortable level, and keep it at 2G if the 3G reception in your area is bad.
The only app I recommend is Greenify (need root) to take care of possible wakelocks from background apps.
I guess that using a battery saver apart from the 'Energy saving' point in 'Settings' of the phone is no good. Just spend some time deleting and freezing useless apps and you will get some extra juice for your phone)

[Q] suggestions to get better battery life

Hello! I usually get about 2 hours of screen on time on my GS3. After doing some research, i found out that 2 hours is not very good...so I have some questions. Take into account that I have tried to minimalise the us on my GS3 and also watched battery tips and tricks videos and even flashed bestMultitasking fix already.
Is there someway to improve my battery life?
While making this thread, my battery dropped from 36 to 34, using wifi and power saving on...also, my signal is full, so it's not a problem from cellular reception
get checkup of your battery and apart from that also goto settings>battery and see how which activity uses the most battery
The 2nd screenshot is from the android system ...

Guys please take time and read the rules before posting such threads. Best ROM/kernel threads are prohibited to posted as there is no best ROM/kernel. All of it are subject to your usage so opinions are useless until you try them all.

It seems that Android OS is killing some of your battery life, this usually only happens when you flash a custom ROM, Id suggest finding out what is killing your battery, download an app called wakelock detector, itll show whats using what
Also, the Greenify app is amazing, it wont let any app you chose to run unless you click it.
You could try turning on your power saving setting, itll slow the phone right down ( thats why i hate touchwiz ) but itll give you an extra 30 minutes of screen on time
Theres always custom Roms and kernels too, Ive got the Illusion Rom which ate up the battery for a day ( every new ROM does this ) and then applied the Googy Max kernel, Im running on 800 mhz with undervolting and still silky smooth
Also, try disabling Google services/ sync and disable Google now, for some reasons they seem to be the issue in most cases
- Jack
I've already done the above mentioned. The biggest consumer is Facebook but I have set the notifications to refresh every hour...

This was today's usage...I don't get it. I guess that media server is when I play music through bluetooth in my car. Still, very bad screen on time ...
the factors that affect battery life:
-screen brightness
-bluetooh connection
-wi-fi connection
-gps
-3G/2G connection
-synchronization
-wallpaper
-vibration
Get zerolemon battery i can get 11/12 hours screen on time with juice to spare!

I always asked myself if GRam works with AOSP or not. However From my experience with AOSP roms this past week, I can insure you that it does indeed work! I am amazed by the battery life! Yesterday I got 1.5 days (around 36hrs with 6hrs screen onn i could never do that on stock).
See my current usage now. Attached screenshots.
Edit: for some reason i cannot attach a single screenshot, that is after 11.5hrs on battery.

I'm running on stock rom and stock kernel. I have disabled locations for google apps, all other apps including wheather are able to check for locations. I have sync enabled for gmail, facebook, wheather, whatsapp and exchange. As you can see I was on wifi most of the time and a few hours on 2G/3G/H. You are right with that xposed stuff! Currently running at 380dpi. My screen brighness is on auto with a preset of 50%. My usage behaviour is moderate and includes checking facebook, whatsapp, emails and xda app. I also do much browsing and a few benchmarks and camera shots. I don't play games that much. Personally I think that disabling NFC, GPS and bluetooth saves you a lot of battery. Smart Stay is also disabled because I don't really need that and it's keeping the sensors awake all the time. I should also mention that I have a flip cover with Quick Window enabled. I hope this helps you a little bit. Most of the battery drain is caused by unneccesary wakelocks.I can recommend to check these wakelocks with an app called 'wakelock detector'. As you can see, in my case there is only 1% of wakelocks, where others have 10-20% and this is what's causing the high battery drain. It's all about optimisation! If you have further questions please feel free to ask (but rather in the battery thread cause this might become a bit off topic).
