need nice bluetooth tethering application for unrooted wildfire. im wierd of usb tethering all the time and i want wireless connection.
my pc donot has wifi. i cant buy a wifi dongle as it is much expensive. so wifi tethering from my wildfire to pc is not possible. my pc has bluetooth dongle, as it is affordable. it is an IVT BLUESOLEIL version 6.2.227.10 . my operating system is windows 7. yes that bluesoleil version is compatible with windows 7.
but wildfire donot has the BLUETOOTH DUN profile. and foolishly i have updated to the official froyo. i heard some bluetooth tethering softwares for rooted phones like "tether blu free edition".
searched a lot and found one software for unrooted phones. it is pdanet.
this pdanet works great with older bluesoleil versions like
bluesoleil 2.6.0.8 (product version)
06.03.27.20061108 (stack version)
unfortunately the older bluesoleil versions are not compatible with windows 7. however i managed to run the older bluesoleil version in XP MODE virtual machine. but doing so, i have to browse the internet from xp mode, and i cant supply internet from xp mode to windows 7.
i live in india with aircel connection. my access point is aircelgprs and dial up number is *99***1#. if u managed to connect pdanet with newer bluesoleil versions, pls tell me how.
and are there any other bluetooth tethering softwares for unrooted wildfire. it will be nice if it gives a PAN profile on wildfire.

I have paired the phone with my laptop but am getting 3 items that refuse to install for BT to work properly. No amount of troubleshooting will fix it.
It is referring to the PAN and BT Peripheral Device drivers.

anyways... guessing by your problem.... try to pair it with another phone or another device....it if works...try stopping the firewall in your PC...
if it doesn't...then let us know what have you done with your phone before..

did not work on my win7/ubuntu 11.10 X200T thinkpad.
then I installed bluetooth file transfer app - and it works when I boot in ubuntu.
probably works with win7 too, I just can't be bothered to restart my notebook under win7

I have Samsung Galaxy Ace.I can Connect mobile Internet to Laptop through Usb cable by using PdaNet but my problem is i want to connect by Mobile Internet to my Laptop through Bluetooth connection bt i m not able to create a successfull connection i tried through pdanet bluetooth bt still no success even i tried Samsung pc studio bt still the same problem .. but still i can share files ,only problem is of internet so can anybody tell me the exact settings to be made in laptop and in my Ace for bluetooth connection through pdanet or any other way.

Try googling. There should be solutions.
I bought a bluetooth dongle on Amazon (ORICO BTA 403, CSR8510 A10 chipset) and installed it on my Windows 7 x64 computer.
The dongle installs fine and works perfectly with all my older phones but not with my Xperia S running Android 4.1.2.
Basically, if I install the automatic windows driver, and pair with the phone, windows complains about no drivers for the device, and I can't do anything with it.
If I install the supplied software (CSR Harmony wireless software stack) I can pair and the Xperia S is installed properly, the various audio services work (I can stream music to PC using BT), but I still can't send or receive files, either from PC to Phone or from Phone to PC.
The connection times out after a second and gives me a connectivity error. It's like the phone refuses to connect to the PC, both when transferring and receiving.
I don't know if the phone is the problem, it seems to not work only when doing file transfers with PC, if I try to transfer files to other phones or to my mac (which has built in BT) it works fine.
Is there any way to fix this issue? Any way to troubleshoot this issue to tell if the problem comes from the phone or the dongle?
Searching with google I can't find any solution, I just get lost into a sea of bluetooth problems which have nothing to do with what I'm experiencing.
By the way, using Airdroid instead of BT is not a fix.

I want to use it for streaming audio to my headphones, I have successfully installed application/drivers with no problems then plug in dongle which searched & installed from windows more drivers which in compatibility mode and run as administrator installed ok, but then when i pair my BT headphones again auto search tries to find & install more drivers but always fails so i cannot get audio connection from laptop to BT HP's although there is a BT connection between dongle & HP's, I have tried another pair of BT HP's but get the same problem. any help from any1 most appreciated. BTW how did u get on with your problem?
i will try to upload some screen grabs hopefully yourself or any1 else maybe able to help me, solve this problem. thanks in advance.

your problem is bare and I think you can try these two solutions out:
1- Restart your phone and check whether your problem has solved or not. 2- Restart your windows and also turn off your Antivirus and firewall and try again.

1.Its not a phone its Headphones. 2.Restart made no difference plus Antivirus/firewall not the cause, seems to be a driver problem when installing from windows update! Ta all the same.
The problem is ****ty drivers from the manufacturer. I installed Bluesoleil and it worked perfectly. Another solution is to use the Windows stack by manually installing drivers from the MS Windows Mobile Suite (or whatever it's called, I don't remember) but that only supports file transfer.

Also Hangouts is not responding.

If you plugged in the webcam before starting up virtualbox and are still experiencing issues
I found a solution that actually works.
Which i found out the hard way
because you'll need to backup your apps.
The solution is to plug in the webcam before turning the computer on, Re-install remix os and convert the os back into a virtual box image all while keeping your webcam plugged in.
The os has to believe the webcam is built in.
Camera functions won't work if you intermittently plug in the webcam after startup, it has to be plugged in before the os is started.
