how are you guys? hope to be fine.
i have HTC inspire 4G with custom ROM for Desire HD Version 2.3.3 made by CyanogenMod, and i have several questions and i will be thankful if you answer:
Note: i bought it like that and i'm a noob in android , so please don't use android expressions i may not know.
1) how to get back the original software that come with the phone?
2) may it harm the phone if i tried it by my self? or give the phone to professional shop?
3) is Inspire 4G has the update for ice-cream sandwich like desire HD? or it's better to install the original software of desire HD to get its update? as i can't update this custom rom.
4) is the original software of inspire 4G or Desire HD supporting Arabic ( reading & writing ) ? the person who i bought this phone from told me he installed this software because the original one didn't read Arabic, so is there another solution?
5) if i installed original software for inspire 4G, will it be blocked for AT&T again ?
Thanks in advance, and sorry if my English was bad
#1--Flash a RUU thats made for your phone, that is a stock rom
#2--Do it your self, if you can read and understand you will be fine just read and ask questions before you start to be safe.
Just find a RUU, flash it in recovery and then your done. Your job is easy because recovery is all ready on your device
#3-#5 I do not no the answer to your question

3. No the Inspire is not getting the ICS update.
4. No the default software doesnt support Arabic at all.
5. No once it is unlocked it is unlocked for good.
The best place to ask this would have been in the device Forums..

Seeing as you happen to be a senior member, is there any way you can influence the creation of a "Desire V / T328W / HTC Wind" forum on xda-developers? Any help will be GREATLY appreciated! There are at least five threads (incorrectly placed) in various sections of xda and it'd be nice if we got our own section to help people stop posting in the wrong place
Probably they are posting a RUU files, which can be useful in ROM developments.
But he posted some text file and instruction to flash it, which is kinda confusing.. shouldn't blindly copy paste.
Agree that there should be a separate section in the forum for HTC Desire V (T328w) to reduce the confusion. This featured dual SIM smartphone is gaining attention in China & Taiwan markets and part of Europe through resell activities as well.
The obviously drawback of the China version is that shipped without Google Services like Play Store. Taiwan version are owners looking forward find. By refer the content from Chinese character forum, more owner can enjoy the test of alternative ROM available. With past experience with experts in xda-developers forum, there must be more ROM optimization and development with Desire V.
I purchased mine, rooted, installed all the google framework & services, de-bloated, and changed the the language all thanks to threads I found through xda-dev. It's easier to use than my Droid Incredible (which is still very current, also thanks to xda-dev) and I think it's time a Dev / Mod set up a separate section for it.
(I'll be using it in Turkey as a work/personal phone so I only have to carry one device.)
Should I need s-off to flash this rom?
this is not for desire ! be carefull !
I already tried to flash this RUU update:
I bought my phone in China, because it does not come with google play and some of the apps (Gmail, Line, etc..) won't install on the phone, I am really looking forward to flash my phone.
My phone was S-off and re-locked (I unlocked it and re-locked it);
and you actually need to have the phone locked in order to flash this RUU, however, I was unable to flash it due to CID not matching warning.
Highly recommend a separate forum for Desire V, as it's gaining popularity, it's quite confusing trying to find posts related to Desire V.
this phone is gathering a lot of momentum at the moment. very nice little device, great screen and dual sim works like a charm.
European version is due to be out next month too.
Can someone help make a zip of this ROM so taht it can be flashed via custom recovery? this ROM as it cant be flashed on t328w that's been distributed out of mainland China.
Can someone verify if it can install on China Unicom HTC Desire V T328w?
I ask this question and not test by myself cause I dont have a backup of my current rom and now I am getting stuck with the 1.56.1402 release (which is already got error and I cannot flash back the version 1.34.xxx that leaks in the forum)
no it doesn't look like it can be flashed. I think the problem is CID doesnt match. Until someone rip the actual ROM from this zip and repackage it as a flashable ROM.
I havent updated my t328w as I heard the updated rom has a lot of problem, and i m a bit lazy to manually add google app all over again.
I bought one from China, was able to to flash it to Taiwan ROM and now I am on google play and Gmail!

Please do share.
My t328w is rooted and I have manually added Google Apps and removed all the bloatware.
But a stock Taiwan version should work much better with the default Google Apps integration.
Can u repackage the ROM to be flashable with custom recovery?

I figured out how to flash the Taiwanese ROM. The guys on taiwanese forum mobile01 has found the method. it involves using a pseudo RUU type of flashing for the mainland domestic ROM, and replacing the SYSTEM and BOOT img with taiwanese ROM and repeat the pseudo flashing process.
Do you have the european firmware? and do u have an alternative and perhaps easier way of flashing? PM me the link if you dont mind.

Hi all,
I've been trying to find the stock kernels for International Unified Atrix 4G, but all I find is a broken link. Does anyone could help me on get this? All links I find over the internet point to these links (extracted from XDA post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1156040), but they don't work:
http://www.multiupload.nl/VQCGG43Z3X
http://www.multiupload.nl/7REA93ZBSX
Anyways, I want to put my phone back to stock, since I've installed any ROM that massed up my RAM, it only shows 372MB instead of 800~.
Looking at a lot of links at internet, I finally found out that I can restore a stock ROM with all included (even kernel). For me, the links below helped a lot:

Hope it can be helpful to someone else too

How are you guys out there this is my first time on this forum, so if I am doing anything wrong please tell me.
So here is the information of my phone, I have a HTC Desire 728g/728x and It is bootloader unlocked, rooted and flashed with TWRP Recovery.
And here is the situation, I found this phone in my Android pile and I remembered that this phone was in its stock rom which was loaded with HTC Sense. And because I am more of a flat/material person, HTC Sense just doesn't have enough customization for it to have a flat/material UI, All my other phones I managed to find AOSP, or lineage os for them in order to make them look nice in a flat/material way. But this phone, "HTC Desire 728g Dual SIM" is soooooooo rare... I can't manage to find any ROM for it. So does anyone also use this phone and have a good ROM that you can link me? Or anyone who's facing the same issue??
Also I am a newbie in the Android community (3 months) I want to check my steps in flash my ROMs and some questions on repartitioning .
1. Download the ROM and G App
2. Go to TWRP and backup
3. Wipe the phone
4. Repartition if needed
5. Flash the ROM
6. Wipe the phone again
7. Flash open G apps.
Questions:
How do you check your phones partition size and how do you know if your phone needs repartitioning, is there a way to calculate if so how?
Is there different files to flash on every different phone?
If so is there a good reliable link to repartitioning files with a good selection of phones?
Thankyou if there is anyone that can help me it would be very much appreciated and sorry for the amount of questions since I really need to get these of my chest and get an answer to everyone of them and those links are gonna help me in my future career, as my dream is to be a computer engineer and create all these kinds of stuff for people in the community to enjoy.
Thankyou ~
