If that package fails to root it, use this supersu instead of the superuser in the root package.

Hello,
I've searched the whole forum and on the web and haven't found any way to root the LG G2 Mini D625, not even with towel root. Is there a way to root this phone? i'm really desperate to do it as my phone came loaded with huge amounts of bloatware and want to free that space.
Thanks

That was VERY helpful, many thanks to you and everyone for the suggestions

I've been a LG G2 Mini owner for like a month and I'm eager to get into the rooting business cause of the fuzzines that is caused from the LG UI. I have a minor problem though. Everyone seems to use towelroot for instant rooting and everyone is getting the confirmation message right away. Well when I press "make it rain" its says "Device not supported". What should I do? Also do I need to have unlocked bootloader do use towelroot first? The unlock bootloader process seems tricky at the moment for our phones and I'm hesitating to do it.

I don't know why you receive the message "Device not supported" but for sure you don't need to unlock the boot loader.
My phone is rooted with towel root but the boot loader still locked

I've tried the Stump method Vaggelis(I'm greek too and glad to meet one at this particular corner of XDA) with both the 1.0 and 1.2 apk files says "devices not supported" again. Note that i'm on V10h soft version.
Furthermore when I'm trying to do the G2 method(the second link) I'm getting this:

Same here - warranty replacement now not taking root with Towelroot
Had older version VS980, got warranty replacement sent. Towelroot worked flawlessly on previous phone, now not supported on this device. See attached. Help?

You should ask at your device's forum or at TowelRoot' s thread.

As far as I know, newest software update blocks this methods.
Before updating, I rooted my D620r with TowelRoot v1 with no problems. Now, I've updated to V10e and both Towel and Stump says "device unsupported".
LG G2 Mini
vers:LG-D620r
app: V10g-226-03
towelroot v1 rooted
After installing Towelroot receive this error message after 20 seconds
Unfortunately, the towelroot stopped!
What should I do to the phone model or what is the solution if ROOT to work?
There's something new on the root process?
You have to use the oldest root method which was availble for D620 - flash update.zip from EXT3 formatted sdcard using stock recovery.

Hey!
I rooted my phone successfully with this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/root-root-lg-g3-easily-purpledrake-lite-t2821000

Hi,
After upgrading my LG-D620r to 5.0.2 V20a few months ago, the only rooting method that worked for me was the one mentioned here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g2-mini/development/root-root-g2-mini-lollipop-t3123652
Now that I've updated to 5.0.2 V20b it doesn't, I tried using both the latest mobile APK and the desktop application of KingRoot, iRoot, and RootGenius but nothing worked ... so, any ideas?
You don't have installed custom recovery?

Happy root news
Hi guys,
I've finally managed to root my device (LG-D620r with 5.0.2 V20b) using the latest Kingroot apk while connected to the internet. However I lost the root status as soon as I restarted the device!
So I rooted again, but this time I followed the method in the link below to replace Kingroot app with SuperSu before doing any reboot and it worked just fine. :good:
Script for replacing Kingroot with SuperSu
Ok so if you want to root the LG G3 running 5.1.1 here's how.
Note: I am not responsible for what might happen to your phone by following this guide.
Also i don't know about carriers other than Verizon since i have a Verizon g3.
so if someone could confirm if this works on the others i will update this post to confirm.

KingRoot will root almost Any Android device with One Click! Do this at your own risk. This is a proprietary Chinese app with no source code released. Check app permissions before installing. If you aren't comfortable you can wait on a different root method for your exact device. This does not appear to be malicious.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
NOW TO THE GUIDE...
1. Go to google on your mobile and search king root and click on the kingroot website. ( NOTE: i can't post links outside of xda until I reach 10 posts.) I will update this with a link soon.
2. Download and install the kingroot app file. NOTE: Check allow apps from unkown sources in settings.
3. Once you have installed it, open the app and click root. NOTE: Click root anyway if you see it.
4. Now after that go to the play store and download root checker by jrummy.
5. After that just open the app and click verify root. You should be greeted with a root request screen. Just click yes and you're done!
Will this work for Verizon LG G3 running same software version?

Hi there!, is there a way to unroot after I have performed this steps? This is in case Android 6.0 gets released to the Verizon LG G3 so I can then update it without any problmes.

Because it modifies the system partition files, the only way to return to stock so that it doesn't say "modified" is to reimage using the KDZ or TOT method.
This is not the instructions, now brush version number of 35b the kdz after you can direct access to root privileges? If so, it too good! Thank!!!
