Anyone who wants to get Xposed installed (and fully operational) without the LG RCT voiding your warranty, should visit this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54276678&postcount=9 :good::fingers-crossed:
The Xposed modules that i've got activated:
-Kitkat SD Card Full Access.
-Kitkat bugs fixer.
-MinMinGuard.
-NlpUnbounce.
-Play store fixes.
-Smooth system progress bar.
-Snapchat full caption.
-Snapshare.
-Youtube adaway
will play around with xposed over the weekend.:good:
I have advanced power menu, g2 skin tweaks, swap volume keys and xprivacy installed.
Now I can't change my lockscreen wallpaper, and my keyboard's gone amuck.
Anyone with similar issues?

After installing xposed, quick remote isn't working. Tested with 3 devices which worked before installation. Is there any fix?

Disable all modules, reboot and see if that makes any difference.
Also, make sure that quick remote is working without Xposed installed.
BTW, it works for me.

Are there any reasons behind your opinion?
My opinion is that Xposed is one of the best things the Android development community has ever seen. That's because it can "modify" apks without actually "touching" them.

Of course you can, this tool has been specifically made for ZenFones (running Android KitKat). So unless you do something extraordinarily stupid there is nothing that can go wrong. And if you think you have the potential to do something that stupid, abort! I repeat abort the mission!

The application says Xposed is currently not active, yet everything was installed. Is it alright?
Also, when I try to activate a module, it says cannot write to /data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/conf/modules.list

Open Xposed Installer. Now click on "Framework". Now check whether the values below "active" and "bundled" are same. If they are not same than click on "Install/Update". Then simply reboot. If this doesn't solve the problem, feel free to reply.

Yet xposed says it isn't active nor installed. Still experiencing problems activating modules though.. I cannot activate any module and instead, it shows that error I posted above.

Yo. Xposed is pretty unstable at zenfone 5. At least for me I can't run the greenify module and didn't tried the amplify but the greenify keeps rebooting the phone and so...Now I only use greenify @ root and it's fine. And I removed the xposed
Not really

Xposed is not at all unstable. The only issue ZenFones ever had with Xposed was the installation bit, and that's why we have this tool. I haven't used Greenify so I can't write anything about it but so far I have had no issues with Xposed framework.

Installation was fine. Greenify can run and how it works. Other modules for xposed well. I have a problem that applications that are not part of xposed causes the system rebooted. For example, e-mail, weather, 2SD card, and many more. I was very much looking forward to xposed. But for restart other applications we have to uninstall it.
Any idea

It might be possible that Greenify is causing all your problems. So what I suggest is a clean Xposed Install. And not use Greenify, at least for now. It sure is worth a try.
Xposed installs normally on my ASUS ZenFone 5 (A501CG) without this thing. No bootloops, no problems, nothing. Everything just works fine.

quite interesting post, totally run into this thread by accident.
having lenovo TabS-50F, which comes with Intel processor. Checking some users who has the same tablet, many did report that normal xposed worked fine, but some got issue with random reboot...i wonder if this is related to using normal xposed installer..

I think it depends more on the modules. If you use normal install xposed you will soft brick your zenphone ( not 100% sure but pretty sure).

WIth the Stock ROM you won't be able to use all the functionalities provided by GravityBox however universal modules will work. If you want to use Xposed to it's fullest I suggest that you flash this AOSP ROM.
Here is the older versions of these 3 frameworks & Snapchat all of them work just install & enjoy
Snapchat - http://www.mediafire.com/download/8f4ufl6kdu67yoz/com.snapchat.android_404.apk
Keepchat - http://www.mediafire.com/download/8fc8a0586td9sqn/com.ramis.keepchat_55.apk
Snapshare - http://www.mediafire.com/download/wk87deon0y47a5j/com.p1ngu1n.snapshare_20.apk
Snapchat Full Caption - http://www.mediafire.com/download/t21flogvv5ds5wu/com.elesbb.snapchatfullcaption_1.apk
1st. Uninstall Snapchat then re-install by downloading the APK once done go to Snapchat in the Store & click settings uncheck mark auto update
2nd. Install all frameworks then go into Xposed turn them on reboot & enjoy
FIX TO DOWNGRADE
Install Xposed Xinstaller - Reboot
Install newset version of Snapchat
Xinstaller - Installations - Downgrading apps
then install any version of Snapchat just install it over the new Snapchat
EVERYTHING WORKS I don't like stories I think it's stupid
Reason why I have these cause I broke my phone 2 weeks before Thanksgiving & yesterday I just now fixed it S3.... 3/10 yesterday I had a OLDER 14 backup ROM & finally figured out how to flash it so now I'm able to give you guys the Snapchat Full Caption enjoy
............
Respect to the Dev that put in the work for these Snapchat mods

That's a big fat negative. The actual Xposed framework needed to make all of these things work is currently incompatible with Lollipop Android 5.0. It is in development however so keep checking for information on Xposed for Lollipop and with any luck, you'll be in business soon.

Keepchat works in 100%. (v. 4.3.0 with Snapchat v.9.20)
Unfortunately Snapshare is not. Some additional features work (e.g unlimited text area) but when you try to share something you get error "Snapshare is not enabled. Please enable it in Xposed Installer(Snapshare is enabled in Xposed Installer)."
I belive it can be a small thing that needs to be improved to work with Lolipop.
Snapshare has been open-source software. Where is the code?
If PirateBay can survive, Snap hacks will also.

actually no cause if you look up both Snap & Keep hacks the creator clearly states that Snapchat has actively blocked the hacks & he had the code & repo pulled so no further development can be had....that's why you don't see it on Xposed site or app

anyone willing to build up this post on what modules do work on the g3 without putting the phone into a boot loop? yesterday i got xposed alpha 3 installed and had the g3 tweakbox. tried to install a couple other modules that i had on my nexus 4 (kitkat) and that put my device in a boot loop.
here are the list i got:
gmail app attachment size
playstore changelog
wa/wa+ theme
xgpm
xinstaller
youtube background playback
on the nexus, when i installed xposed framework, i got a file that i could flash from twrp in case phone got into a boot loop (it disables the modules or the whole framework i think) but didn't get that on lollipop. anyone knows of a way to get rid of a boot loop other than a factory reset? (had to do that yesterday so asking for future reference).
is it a trial and error to find out if a module will boot loop the phone on lollipop? or is there some other method?

Yes in twrp you can go into file manager and under apps delete the xposed app that is causing the bootloop wipe the caches and you should be good
Working Lollipop modules:
For the sake of good camera, I'm using stock based CloudyRom. So the results are for stock based ROMS. Will be updating the post after future tests
Working:
Obviously G3 Tweakbox
GravityBox (I have it for the volume button cursor control)
AppSettings (Surpisingly it works great. Just dong go below 540 for stock LG apps)
ChromePie
Greenify

Not for now... To install Xposed Framework you have to delete/freeze Quickcircle... But, in beggining weather apk was also necessary to freeze... Not anymore. There are some mods to use xposed and weather. Probably, some day, circle case will also be available with xposed

Can you elaborate on that? Earlier i got into a bootloop and had to factory reset phone and i lost the backup xposed made for weather and the clock thingie. A guy sent me the apks that the app created for him. Weather and clock, etc. You think it would be safe to just install the weather ones from within the phone(not flash from recovery) and make them system apps to have it working again? If not, can you advise please? Thanks

Hi Friends.
I have searched and read much on how to do this yourself , but unfortunately it seems the framework.jar file is very different for lollipop.
These guides are for KitKat and out dated.
If possible this will make volume increments much more smoother on our phones. I used an xposed module before , but its unsupported now.
If you know of a current guide on how to or know which lines of code to change/edit in AudioService.smali i will greatly appreciate it.
I am not a pro , with these things but really want to learn. :fingers-crossed:

If it still doesn't work, cut off the sound and reenable it.

Isn't there an xposed uninstaller in the official xposed thread that you can flash to disable xposed? The result being you can boot your phone and remove pesky modules that are not behaving without having to do a factory reset.

Hi there, maybe you can give this a try.

Sup guys! I was finally able to find time to convert my previous patch for EPM to an Xposed module! This was not as simple as I expected, as it required dynamic XML generation/integration, which can be cumbersome to say the least. I tried to keep the code as generic as possible to support other models of the A2017, but there are no guarantees beyond the US model. I did add a configurable option to add a bootloader button, but as of this posting (B32), ZTE has disabled this functionality.
FAQ:
1. Can you add support for my model?
- Possibly, but at the minimum you would need to post your framework-zte-res.apk. Specifically, the files layout/global_dialog.xml and layout-land/global_dialog.xml are needed.
2. Does this support MiFavor 5.x?
- I cannot say, it's only been tested on A2017U B32, which uses MiFavor 4.x.
Thanks to wanam for the simple settings popup and apsun for the RemotePreferences library.

very cool that you did a "port", have my thanks - even when I'm not running stock most of the time
Works xposed in Mifavor? 4.x or 5.0?

Only tested on B32 thus far, which runs MiFavor 4.2.
Works on Sl!m M!Favor 5.0 / 7.1.1 v 2.0. (A2017G).
Thanks man! Your the greatest! Any chance you can add the 3minit battery mod like last time
I would love to use this, however i don't want to install Xposed since i don't want to break safetynet...is there any way you can make this a magisk module as well?

Yes but the Xposed Installer app has a toggle switch to temporarily disable Xposed. So whenever you need to use an app such as Android Pay just disable Xposed and and then re-enable it when you're done.

Not worth it if i have to reboot my phone when I want to play games that require safetynet and use banking every time oh well, can't have all the pleasures in the world, but it would be nice to have this as a magisk module.
The thing is, I don't believe it's possible since you need to replace a small part of a file, not the whole file. I don't know how the Xposed module works (or Xposed itself) but I believe it somehow replaces that small part. If there was a Magisk module you wouldn't be able to further modify the framework and it would only work for one mifavor version.
I think this was already discussed but about a flashable zip version
Edit: Yeah, the dev talks about dynamic XML generation/integration

This is correct. I went with Xposed for better compatibility across multiple h/w & s/w versions. ROM authors can likely cook it into their framework using the tutorial from the other thread :good:
Ah bummer. I was hoping to use this module but I'm running v87 Xposed (PurifyOS). EPM requires v88.x. I'm only on unofficial Xposed because Unicon works with it.
If I decide I don't need Unicon I'll definitely update and use EPM.
At the moment I'm using one of the many reboot menu utilities to popup on double press of the back button (using Button Mapper).

I can confirm that this works on stock A2017G B09 with flashable Xposed. may also work with topjohnwu's Xposed but I couldn't manage to make the modded xposed installer find the xposed installation
The ROM is stock B09, from raystef66's flashable zips
Here's a screenshot where you can barely see the model below
So basically you can add that it's compatible with G-B09 somewhere

Works on MF5.0 too (either SuperSu or Magisk). Only if you use the flashable xposed framework v88.2 SDK25 + xposed installer + your apk.
Thnx ! (does not work through Magisk module installing the framework. Installer error framework not installed)
works on B35
Works on B09 Nougat on A2017G, although it does not play nice when messing with screen dpi. I am currently on 500 and icons are misaligned.
