I using text messaging to notify me when a critical system is down at work. So I have VERY long loud music playback while I get a message. On my S4 when I opened messaging the music would stop immediately - it does not on my G3.

Self-explanatory.
For some reason, SMS notifications will not play or interrupt my music when I'm using the Music Player app. This is annoying to other people who may be trying to send me SMS, because I'm not knowing a message has arrived and thus don't immediately respond.
It was working last week. I don't know what changed to make it stop working now.
Edit: gmail notifications work fine. They drop the music volume, play the notification sound, then raise the volume back again. Incoming calls do the same thing.
Both of these also play through the loudspeaker, even if the headphones are connected... another problem which has no answer it seems.
When I recieved A call During playing Music As usual stops But after ending the call Music Didn,t resumed automatically .... i have to open the player then resume it manually ... Also after any voice notifications Music stops and not resumed automatically
Is it something related to the kernel or what ???
So we are at android 4.0 the music still pauses and resumes when i receive a txt, email, gtalk/g+ notifications. Anyone know if it is the android system that does this or the music player? I have a old blackberry that doesn't do this just keeps playing the music and will notify me if i get a txt/email.
Im using Winamp on Blazer 1.5 ROM and similar happens to me. When im playing music and I finish downloading a picture on my browser or Reddit app, the music stops and im unable to continue playing it unless I change songs first.
yea but the issue for me is when i get a txt msg while listening to music it pauses and plays the notification then resumes the song. very annoying.
If it's an option just put phone on silent or vibrate and it won't happen.

My Samsung Galaxy Note 5 it's my life
Since yesterday, I noticed that the voice messages in the messenger (facebook) app, the sound was in the cellphone's speakers while the headphones were connected. But with the Music app and the Whatsapp voice messages, the sound was in the headphones. Also, the icon of headphones in the notification bar appears no more.
I need help, I really love my phone and I want it to be perfect :crying:

i just noticed this strange behaviour twice since having my Honor 10.
When i'm listening to spotify music via bluetooth in my car (no Android Auto connected), sometimes (not every time) after getting a notification (notification sound is also played on car audio) the music continues to play without any bass (low frequencies are missing).
After pausing and resuming the playback in Spotify everything sounds as expected again.
Someone had that, too?
And found a fix?
For me it would be ok to disable notification sounds when on bluetooth audio.
Call rings should play tho.
I naild it down to the facebook app.
It happend when listing to spotify with my soundbar, too.
After shutting down facebook in and notification setting the sound was normal again.
Is there a way to remove "sound permissions" for facebook app but keep the visual notifications?
