USB not found - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Hey guys,
After some roms, i got my phone bricked,
After some more work got it back to stock and rooted, and now my computer wont see the USB, tried USB 2 and 3 both not working, different USB entrance's too. the computer will find Note 3 as CDC ACM or CDC NCM or Comneo Suspend, ( windows update is on, Kies installed latest version ), i did try other cables.
I added a photo with Windows driver thingy
This is a Note 3 SM-N900 ( international version )
Could you please help me with this?
Thank you.

First I would ask the obvious, is this checked?
If so, then something is missing from either the drivers you have on your PC ( I would delete and reinstall them ) here is a link http://www.devfiles.co/download/AbRa7wHc/SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones.exe Or the OS, I would use your phone and download a new copy of 4.4.2 NC5 copy and paste it to your SD CARD from downloads then flash out of your recovery. Here is the link to SamMobile which has all versions of 4.4.2 NC5 http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/?model=SM-N900P&pcode=0 Also since this is an International version you might consider moving your post to SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 3. Unless your running it on Sprint then use the SPR version of 4.4.2 NC5 from SamMobile. Here is another link for stock 4.4.2 NC5 by micmars (Thanks ) that you don't have to register to download like at SamMobile but its only the Sprint version http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2712205

[Q] Odin Stops Recognizing Device Galaxy Player 3.6

Has anyone had any issues with Odin? Odin just stopped recognizing my player in download mode. Gives me a com port when in normal mode. I've updated and used several drivers from Kies to others. Not new to flashing with Odin, but I've never had it just stop recognizing a device. Home button is dead and was going to flash stock North American version
Win8
Odinv3 3.04
Updated Samsung Drivers (Kies)
North American version YP-GS1 Samsung Galaxy Player 3.6
Current Kernal: [email protected] #1
Current Build Number: GINGERBREAD.XXLD1 (International EU)
I've tried different cables (Note and Note II cables) install reinstall Kies, drivers, Odin. Removed ADB+Fastboot from my rig (thought it could be an issues) and just about every thing listed on this site and other...lol. The only thing I noticed is the driver for the 3.6 in Download mode is just a basic "Samsung USB driver". Also under the Devices and Hardware window the player is listed as "Unspecified" . My Note and Note II in download mode list different drivers but is also listed as "Unspecified". Not sure if that's a possible issue or not. I'm wondering if I got a copy of the drivers that others have while connected via Download Mode I could force those drivers and see if Odin picks up the player.

Problem with rooting Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300

Problem 1, Odin3 does not detect my SGS3.
Problem 2, I am not quite sure, but I think that Kies is my problem, already deleted it 5 times though.
I'd like to get an reply real fast.
Also, my phone may only connect to Odin3 when its on...Not when its on Downloade mode. I know how to mod... but this is just strange. Like, It's blocking to detect my phone.

[Q] PC Drivers for Galaxy Mega 6.3 (MetroPCS)

Sorry if there is already a thread covering this, if there is, please send me a link and I'll go over there. I'm trying to make sure the PC drivers for my Galaxy Megs 6.3 (Metro) is installed. I am currently running OSE Rom and Kies says my phone is not supported. I suspect that's because of the rom, but I have rooted my phone through my PC and am able to transfer files over USB. Can I assume that I have the drivers up to date? is there somewhere I can download and install the drivers Manually?
Did you use it in past ?

[Q] How to root Quattro with the new Samsung Stock ROM I8552DDANG1

I have a 1 year old Grand Quattro 4.1.2, I had the phone rooted and was using it happily, i.e. till I installed Latest Kies and then plugged in the phone.

I8552DDANG1
Build
JZO54K.I8552XXANG1
Now I am not able to root my phone, Odin and Odin3 both do not recogonize the phone
Need help!!!!
Thanks a ton in advance
Dhandax
may be Samsung has patched it, you should revert back to old rom and wait for the latest patch.
Samsung has not patched anything in the latest software update and the phone can be rooted.
I'm using it stock rooted. Please try another port of your pc.

Try use a different USB Cable, uninstall kies and install again, after it plug the Phone.
Open execute with command Windows button + R type devmgmt.msc check in USB CONTROLLERS list, if appears a device named SAMSUNG Mobile Usb Composite Device is present, if yes your phone n' drivers are installed.

[Q] Root when phone is not detected

Hello everyone, I could not find a good title for my issue but I will try to explain as well as I can. I own a GT-I9300 (International), but since last official Samsung's firmware update(Jelly Bean 4.3) I am not able to get my phone recognized by my computer. Phone is connected and it charges, but neither Windows or Ubuntu recognizes it as a portable device. I am concerned about UMS is not available on device, but my phone it does not even get detected! I also own a Galaxy SII (4.1.2) and it does get detected by my PC. I think that flashing a custom ROM could solve the problem, since it appeared when I updated official firmware, but the thing is that I cannot root my phone! Tried ODIN but since my phone does not get detected, ODIN does not do its job. I also tried rooting with framaroot and towelroot, but no success: first one says "Failed , try another exploit" but there is only one. And the last one says my phone is not currently supported, even if I change modstrings.
So here is my question: how do I root my phone? I don't know what else I could try. I have already reinstalled Kies and Samsung USB drivers but still not working. Also hard-resetted but no luck.
Hope you guys can help me out because this is really getting on my nerves
Thanks in advance!

I have already tried with every port on my PC. I'm using the USB cable that actually came with the device and it is working when I plug in another phones.
And yes, I have activated USB debugging

The thing is that my phone is the only one that do not get detected every single time I connect it. I have already connected one GT-I9100 and GT-S6790L and both get detected. I already tried on 3 different Virtual Machines with Windows XP, Ubuntu, Windows 8.1 but no luck.
As I said in the first post, I think it's a firmware problem since it appeared when I did the official update, which was this one:
Model GT-I9300
Model name GALAXY S III
Country Argentina
Version Android 4.3
Build date Wed, 05 Nov 2014 20:33:08 +0000
PDA I9300UBUGNK1
CSC I9300UVOUGNK1

I can see your frustration Now a few things technically it is a misconception that you need root to flash a custom rom you can actually flash a custom recovery with Odin full wipe and then flash a custom rom from custom recovery (only thing is you will lose all your data because you need root to back up your data)
Now I know the above statement is not very helpful because as you said Odin doesn't detect it (but I thought I would mention it anyway )
The reason framaroot and towelroot, didn't work is because at the moment the only way to root S3 is with Odin.:crying:
You may have tried this but I will mention it anyway first uninstal Kies and all Samsung drivers from your computer ( kies can interfere with Odin) Then try installing these drivers here >> http://developer.samsung.com/techni...Lhp1GqlWRy92Q60CX6PP1mF!80806326?v=T000000117 << If you have tried this then sorry.
Also when you connect the phone go to Device manager in Windows and try to look for your device ( it may say unkown device) it should have a warning triangle right click on it select update driver software and then select browse from my computer and point to the drivers that you have downloaded see if that works.
Another thing to note is if you are using Windows 8 you need to disable Driver signature in start up options ( Google it) for Windows to recognize the drivers.

I already tried uninstalling Kies and Samsung drivers. Also I tried looking for device on Device Manager but it does not appear when I plugin my S3, but it does appear when I connect other devices like S2 or Galaxy Fame Lite. They appear as portable devices.
I'm using Windows 7 on my PC and have already tried with different OS over Virtual Machines and still doesn't work.
And thanks for that note, didn't know there was possible to flash a Custom Recovery without root, but I can't since ODIN doesn't detect device :crying:
Then it looks like you are running out of options I would use another computer not Virtual Machines
Okay I'll give it a try but as I said before, looks like an firmware issue, not computer's. Why would my computer detects two another Samsung devices but not mine (which used to work until last update)
Me, too!
I'm having a similar problem. Last week my GS3 stopped working, and I bought another one from Ebay with a cracked screen and swapped out motherboards. The phone seems to work as well as a stock Verizon phone on Jellybean would, but I can't get my Linux, Win 8, or Win XP computers to even recognize that it's attached. Different cables, each and every one of the USB ports, not even a blip. Device Manager in Windows doesn't even see it, and yes I got the developer options unlocked and have enabled USB debugging.
I've got the Samsung drivers installed, and tried to install the CWM device drivers from the SAMSUNG GALAXY S3 TOOLKIT V9, but there was an error and that didn't work, either.
USB connection issues are usually due to Windows conflicts, driver problems or the lead itself. If all these have been excluded then you have either a firmware issue in the bootloader, which is very uncommon, or a hardware problem. The usb port is easily worn/damaged/dirty also the motherboard might be the cause.
There is no silver bullet to cure, test each possible thoroughly.

I'm 100 percent sure that it is not due a Windows issue, I have already test every option. I have not considered the usb port to be damaged or worn, which could be possible but phone charges every time I connect it to computer. It just does not get detected as a device. But in order to assume it is a motherboard issue I will have to put away my feeling that the problem is caused by last OTA official update, since this problem started there.
If it is a firmware update issue, is it any option to flash another ROM?

As I said on previous posts, I have already installed and reinstalled Samsung USB drivers and made a factory reset -one from config. option and another one from Android stock recovery 3e (since I cannot install any advanced recovery -or even root it- to flash a custom rom). Doing those factory reset did not downgrade my last firmware update (when all my problems started).
I also said on previous posts that I tried towelroot and framaroot with no success. As tallman43 says, seems like international version of S3 does not support those kind of one-click to root apps.
-----------------------------------------------------
So far the only options available (if my theory about latest firmware update is the problematic one) are:
● downgrade firmware: [Q] How? Odin is not working since my phone does not get detected;
● root my phone in order to install an advanced recovery and flash a new ROM: [Q] Any way of rooting phone without computer (apart from towelroot or framaroot because I have tried and do not work for me)? I read one XDA post from 2 years ago to root S3 via console apk but latest comments assumes that method stopped working.
● install an advanced recovery without odin or root: [Q] How?
● fix USB firmware issue: [Q] I have completely no idea how to do it. (Already played with *#7284# and *#0808# but did not get my phone detected)
Please I need help, this is really irritating me and I am running out of ideas

I guess I have found out what the problem was. It was not firmware (as I thought). It was the micro USB port (as boomboomer said) which seems to not be firmly attached to the PCB. AC charging just seems to work okay, but not USB connections. I managed to figure it out by forcing the USB in a specific position to get it detected for 5 seconds, but then it disappeared.
Yeah, it was not as complex as I thought! I will try to replace that micro USB port as soon as possible, thanks everyone for your help!
