My phone is giving me problems for root - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 T99L with 4.3 version.. I recently decided to try to root it (I rooted my old phone, but since this one was new i dint root it before) and its giving me headaches!
I rooted it with CF Auto Root for the same model, I followed instructions (using Odin to root), and when my phone resets, I think its KNOX or the system itself blocks SuperSU. This is another problem, I open SuperSU and the first thing it appears is ''There is no SU binary installed and SuperSU cannot install it'' and then it closes and theres a notification that SuperSU got blocked by the security thing. PLEASE HELP!
Btw: I cant find stock for t99l

[Q] re-rooting of S3 I9300

I am using galaxy s3 I9300 since last 4 months. Last week i rooted this phone and very next day i upgraded it's android to 4.3. After that my supersu says that "there is no su binary installed and supersu cannot install it. this is a problem. if you just upgraded to android 4.3, your need to manually re-root - consult the relevant forums for your device." Then again i rooted my phone but now this time my supersu was not showing in all apps, i again rooted 2-3 times, but still my supersu was missing. Then i downloaded supersu form play store and installed.
Now my custom binary is 4 and SuperSu is still showing the same error (there is no su binary installed and supersu cannot install it. this is a problem. if you just upgraded to android 4.3, your need to manually re-root - consult the relevant forums for your device.)
I used Triangle Away.apk to reset the binary counts but this is also asking for root access and my supersu is not working...
Please help me in this..

What system version are you on and which version of CF Auto Root did you use? Do you have a custom recovery installed? If not, you should use Odin, not an app to install it. Once you have a custom recovery then you can just use that to install the SuperSU zip from Chainfire (same guy who does CF Auto Root).

[Q] Installed rooted 4.4.2, but lost root

And can't seem to get it back.
This is what I installed. SuperSU was even there. but if I check root it says it in not properly rooted and if I try to use an app that requires root it says "Root not available or denied".
Still can boot into twrp recovery. Still can install .zip files.
I had to go back to stock (first time since buying the phone in 2012) because of too many problems. Any help would be appreciated!

Samsung Galaxy S II (GT-19100) Gingerbread | Rooted, but superuser not working

Hello peeps, evilbeef here!
So yea, I have rooted my phone a while a go I have used Odin v185
and I used Speed Kernel S2 K-2 -21 as the PDA file. I have found this on GalaxyS2 Root webpage
I have successfully rooted it, basically I have rooted so many phones using Odin. :laugh:But this one is different. I already have Superuser app (from google store) before I started rooting it. After I rooted it, my phone rebooted automatically. In the Startup, The phone has yellow triangle. My Phone works normally.
BUT THE PROBLEM IS, THERE IS NO REQUEST OF PERMISSION SHOWING, I ALSO USED ROOT CHECKER, IT IS NOT WORKING, IT SAYS ROOT ACCESS IS NOT PROPERLY INSTALLED. ALL OF THE APPS I DOWNLOADED THAT NEEDS ROOT PERMISSION ALSO DOESN'T WORK.
BUT ONE THING I AM WANDERING ABOUT IS THAT MY KERNEL VERSION CHANGED.
IT SAYS THAT: 2.6.35.7 [email protected] #k2-21
But also when I go to recovery mode, I can flash CWM recovery automatically.
The only thing that doesnt work I think is the Superuser.
I also tried checking su binary vlegacy. I also try to check for updates but superuser keeps me forcing it to close.
I think I am only having issues with Superuser I think. How Can I fix this? Please Help
Uninstall supersu from you phone.
Download supersu from this link- https://download.chainfire.eu/696/SuperSU/ Copy paste it into your SD card.
Boot into cwm recovery and install the supersu zip file you downloaded.
Thanks for the fast respond bro! I was thinking about the same thing tho, I just want to have confirmation from others if this thing would work! HAHAHAHAH thanks mate! :--------)

Update supersu binary?

SCH-I545 on stock rooted 5.0.1
I was originally rooted with KingRoot but ran into a few problems and ended up doing a factory reset through stock recovery (obviously since I can't run a custom recovery)the whole wipe data & cache.
After restarting and setting up again, I installed root checker and it said I'm rooted just didn't have any supersu app so I downloaded one from the app store but it keeps failing to update the binary and, again, I can't try doing it through CWM/TWRP.
Is there any means of forcing it to update?
Either kingroot is still installed, or you don't have root (I'm thinking). If you uninstall kingroot, it will unroot. So you probably have a super user app installed (that's how a root checker works- it asks permission from the super user app.) You can switch to SuperSU.... Don't think I can post a link, so just Google: replace Kingroot with SuperSU. After you complete the instructions, then update the binary.
