Call delay - Verizon LG G3

Does anyone else experience a random delay when you dial out before you start hearing the ringing? Sometimes almost 15 seconds. It says the call is connected and you can see the seconds counting but there's no ringing on the speaker. It doesn't happen all the time, but it does frequently. I'm rooted in case that makes any difference.

So no one else has this issue? Sounds like I might restore to stock and see if that fixes it.

Yes, I've seen it happen when it's connected by Bluetooth in the car: the car would tell me the phone is disconnected, then the call goes through.
I've also had issues with the Bluetooth headset (Jawbone ERA), where it would be "disconnected". I turned off the power saving mode and checked all Bluetooth settings, and it still does it.
I am rooted but I didn't do anything to it yet.

So only with Bluetooth? I've seen that as well but mine happens without Bluetooth also.

I do most of my calls using Bluetooth, so I didn't notice the other way. I'll have try it.

Extremely annoying and frustrating Wifi issue...

Is anyone else experiencing an issue where the phone "forgets" that it is connected to a Wifi network? It will still show that I am connected to the network, but I will be unable to actually do anything online until I disable and reenable the Wifi radio.
This occurs at random times - sometimes I can go hours before having this issue, and other times it is almost immediate.
It is not my router because I have not experienced the issue with other connected devices such as my computer or Xbox. It also happens on any network that I am connected to, not just my own.
Any ideas?

Try going into setting/wireless/wifi settings. Then hit the menu button and select advanced. Then make sure that wifi sleep policy is set to never slerp. Also check the "best wifi performance" is checked as well. See if that helps.

Tried that already, but thanks for trying to help.

Sorry, rooted with Revolution 1.1.3 and the Anthrax kernel that it comes with. I have tried many different Roms and each one exhibits this behavior.

Mobile Data Dropping

Okay I have been rooted for a day now and it seems that I am having some trouble staying connected to my mobile data. I did remove some bloat once I rooted but I don't think it has anything to do with that because when I am connected everything is fine. Is anyone else having this issue?

It's happened to me a few times but I think it's more of an LTE thing then an issue with the phone.

Hasn't happened to me.. but I'm also on another Rom though... Tsm 0.2.1... I recommend it... It takes away the dreaded 3 dot menu screen

I'm on stock and see it happen at home as I get near the edge of Wi-fi range. The phone seems to continuously switch from mobile data to wi-fi, causing a lot of stutters when I'm streaming. I also had to switch to the 2.4 GHz channel from the router. The 5 GHz channel was worse and the phone seemed to be confused when I had it set up to connect to both channels. I'm not seeing LTE at our house, 3G at best.

Have you tried changing Settings->Power->Power Mode to High Performance?
That fixed it for me.
Well I had the issue a few times the night before and a couple times yesterday. Bit I think it might be the WiFi effect or what I'm calling it. The phone seems to want to auto connect to WiFi and it makes the mobile data stutter a bit.

I like having it enabled because it allows me to get on my network at home and work automatically. Which is helpful because I gave up my unlimited data. But if it does it again I may look into it.

It seems as though when it goes to sleep sometimes it looses the latch on true wifi signal. Also that's the same method I use toggle off /on and it works. It has to be a sleep setting for the WiFi

Probably a problem with the phone. Take it back and get different device, perhaps something with JB already installed....that should fix all your issues.

Do you have the power saver enabled? There is a setting in there about turning off WiFi if it isn't processing data. That could be what is causing it.

AT&T Smart Wifi
Check and see if AT&T Smart WiFi is on. I swapped my first LGOG because I thought there was a problem, but instead it was the AT&T Smart Wifi App. I am experimenting with using it now to manage my WiFi and it is working just fine now that I have stopped messing with the WiFi setting in the phone settings.

I get the problem occasionally too but fixes when I do a hotboot
I've been having the same problem for the past week. Just started out of no where. Sometimes a reboot doesn't fix ot. Completely stock here.

A matter of fact some s5 do it and some don't
Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk
Yes I get this several times a day (10+ times). I've found that either going in and out of airplane mode, or more easily, attempting to place a call (doesn't matter if it connects, I usually just call my voicemail and hang up immediately) fixes it. I had this issue much less frequently with the GS4 and I had a previous GS5 that I turned in on warranty for an unrelated microphone issue which had the same problem. I live in a big city if that matters at all as it's possible it's a network issue (I often go into buildings/elevators where there is no service which sometimes seems to cause it when the phone tries to reconnect to the network).
I've found that a little bit of tape helps keep my data from being loose.

Hard to say since you gave us no details about your phone configuration. What is your OS version? One of the bugs that the 4.4.3 update is purported to address is frequent data connection dropouts. Sound familiar?

I figured it was because of network upgrades. I just got VOLTE in my area so that could explain it.

Same thing happens to me. Restart your device, if that doesn't work. Try turning your router off, wait 30 seconds then turn it back on. I went a day without wifi because of this

I know this is pretty late but, I have recently changed my WiFi and also have taken the 5.1.1 update and now it doesn't randomly disconnect anymore. Not too sure what fixed it though. I'd say it was the update but then again, my old WiFi was slow and very bad overall. I had AT&T WiFi btw. Now I have time Warner cable
