[Q] relocking bootloader - Xperia Z2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi, im a bit of a noob at this unlocking bootloader stuff. Anyway, i unlocked my bootloader and put doomkernel on D6503 Z2. i want to relock my bootloader and remove doomkernel. i read this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=45496437&postcount=2 . I dont get what it means by "before u relock bootloader u have to be on pure stock kernel (flash only the kernel.sin using flashtool)". Where can i get the pure stock kernel and how do i flash it with flashtool?
thanks.

[Q] Quick question about bootloader

Hey guys, I'm gonna get a brand new Xperia X10 Mini Pro in a few days. I wanna install MiniCM7-2.1.9, and to use that rom I also need to install the nAa kernel, which requires an unlocked bootloader.
So my question is, say if I need to revert everything back to stock (rom, kernel, lock bootloader), for warranty purposes for example. Well, I know that the kernel and rom can be flashed back to stock using flashtool or SEUS, but what about the bootloader?
If I remember correct, you have to lock the bootloader first or else an unlocked bootloader won't work with a stock rom & kernel, which will result in a hard brick right?

Bootloader cannot be locked again. So if you are unlucky, you will get brick and lose garanty. =)

Yes, sorry, i am used outdating info((
ya I did my research and S1Tool can re-lock the bootloader. But am I correct though? My question wasn't really answered...
You have to flash back to stock rom and stock kernel if you want to re-lock your bootloader. Just when you're on stock rom/kernel, then you can safely re-lock your bootloader.

I recommand to download flashtool -> download .ftf file to relock BL -> flash with flashmode -> then update phone with SEUS (not PC Companion).
EDIT:
Many times (about 6 xD ) I use this method to relocking BL and flashing back to stock with SEUS.
OH.. I'm not responsible for any damages... Just for safety

yeah, back to stock den flash any ROM yhu wish to use via CWM!
I think PCC will not update/restore firmware because when unlock BL with fastboot damage DRM so PCC will not provide firmware.
I read this on the formu, but can't remember the thread name and I'm not sure that is true. Also I don't try restore via PCC.
is sure use SEUS to go back to stock kernel?
sorry my english
yhu can try SEuS but i know for sure PCC will work too provided BL is locked.....!

Safe Bootloader Relock

I want to relock my bootloader to have the feel of Stock ROM once again. But I'm scared s**tless that I may screw up my neo. Currently I'm using Xperia Pureness ROM with suave kernel. What are the steps I should do to make sure that everything will go smooth. Your advice will be greatly appreciated.
No need to relock bootloader to use stock rom.
In case you really want it, for some unkown reason, flash stock rom and then relock your BL(depending on how you unlock it of course).
Do not relock your bl while having custom kernel in it.

So sir I have to flash the stock rom then, relock using flashtools. then root, install cwm, recover Nandroid back up that i have when I had the stock ROM running.

The important thing which madyfish mentioned is "do not lock your bootloader with a custom kernel".
Exercise caution.

[Q] Stock rom from CM

Hi!
I have only a little question. I have CyanogenMod 9 on WT19i (LiveWithWalkman). Of course I have unlocked bootloader. I want to go back to stock ROM and unlock bootloader. I have to only flash old ftf .62 and flash relocking file or it is more complicated?

No you don't... You don't have a locked bootloader...
I don't think there is any CM ROM for Xperia active with locked bootloader...
If it exist do you mind passing the link for it
BTW running CM on stock kernel too bad

You are mistaking with the meaning of unlock/locked boot loader. Phone comes with locked boot loader then it is unlocked for full throttle. If u want to go back to stock u dont have to relock the boot loader again. Just flash any ics kernel & then stock rom. Or u dont have to flash a kernel if u are gonna flash a ftf
Sorry!
Sorry. Very stupid mistake . UNLOCKED

Yes just flash the ftf and if you want to root, just flash a prerooted kernel for gingerbread, but stock kernel will be flashed with the ftf :good:
Thread moved. All questions belong in Q&A not General.
