Quattro Shows Only 1.48GB Internal Storage instead of 8GB

I have recently bought one galaxy grand quattro from local shop.
Firstly i doubt about some specification and look of the phone.
1. There is no "DUOS" Symbol at the top of the Phone.
2. I have check Device Internal Storage , It shows 1.48GB.
3. I have checked Hardware Specification By Play Store Application named CPU/RAM/DEVICE IDENTIFIER.
Application says My device is Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro I8552.
CPU TYPE : QualComm Snapdragon S4 Play MSM8225Q * 4 1.2096Ghz
RAM : 1GB DDR (Usable 845 MB)
GPU TYPE : ADRENO 203
I have also Checked IMEI on website it shows its Original Samsung win i8552
Also Device can be register with Samsung and i have updated firmware via Wifi.
FIRMWARE : I8552ZTAMG3
Version : 4.1.2
Please help me why my device shows only 1.48 GB instead of 8 GB.
Is there any Device or any Unbranded Version available with these feature ?

May be it is showing used internal memory. And the usable internal memory we used to get 5gb in quattro. Can u please provide a snap in which its stating about 1.48gb of internal memory? If it is really what u r syaing then please go to service centre. And from which region did u buy that phone? The firmware version does not look updated one.

Thanks for reply.
I cannot go to service center because phone is not indian version.
I have searched a lot and finally i found on google that Samsung Has 4GB ROM Version of this phone launched in China.
So finally 1.48GB user available.
Also My Phone baseband itself says its From Taiwan.
I have matched the phone specification on Samsung China official website and they matched with my phone.
I will post the photos soon.
still if you have idea how to expand internal storage please guide me.

Do you have any idea about how to Install Apps on External SD because this device doesn't support Moving Apps from internal storage to SD.

Flash indian version of stock firmware to get latest indian version updates and u can move large game data to external memory by using gl2sd app which u will find on playstore. But u have to root ur quattro to use it.

There are several copies of Samsung devices found in the market...my uncle bought a copy of S4 for just 11k...it has all the features of s4 including air gestures...but Android Version is 4.2.9 which proves that the version is not genuine...do check it properly if you paid the same price for the device

This is quite and old thread, and probably you have already found a solution, but I'm in the same situation, and my solution might help you:
1) I installed External 2 Internal app from Google Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.codlab.int2ext which swaps internal and external memory, so /sdcard point to the external sd card, as in other phones.
2) I installed Link2SD https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.buak.Link2SD and created a second partition (in ext3 format) on the sdcard, and proceeded to link all apps to this second partition using Link2SD.
This way, I've been able to install several big games (such as Fifa 14 and Real Racing 3), along with around 100 apps, and still keep almost 1 Gb free space.
To use those apps, the phone must be rooted. You have to work a bit, but the results are very nice.

Not quite, since external to internal swaps internal and external memory, so you don't have to link folders game by game. And using Link2SD, as it has an option to automatically link folders, you don't have to worry again, either.

Yes but those r complex for maximum users. I can bet maximum dont know how to create partition.. while gl2sd is far easy and usually we need to move game datas only as there r plenty of space in internal sd card for installing applicatioms..

All those apps require a rooted device, which eliminates most of the average users. Once you know how to root your device and do it properly, using Internal2External or Link2SD is not so hard.

Kingo doesn't work on all versions and firmwares (the same happened to framaroot) and cwm is not for all users. Do you really picture unexperienced users using Odin and downloading firmwares from sammobile or other sites? Come on...

Hi there.. i just bought SGG2 3 days ago.. and I found out the internal space only 5gb for usage..
since u said SGG2 uses a fstab.qcom file, not vold.fstab... can we confirm that this phone also can swap from external into internal?
I did that method on my Galaxy R i9103.. plugged in 32gb external SD.. and swapped it and become 32gb internal.. hassle free. no need to worry about huge Whatsapp data lol!!

Hello, please tell me. Ported CTR v 3 iOcean elite. For a basis took recovery with P780, tailored for your screen resolution, like all good, but there is one at the new mount memory to the computer recording speed is very very low (for example, when copying the firmware of 600 mb- while copying takes about 15 minutes), what to do ?

That could have multiple causes: antivirus software, low class sdcard, usb port old version (1.1, 1.2), bad cable, etc. It's not related to recovery.
@carliv, i have tried the recovery that you have tag for me but, it does not work... It does not boot into recovery , it just loop into a normal way of booting.... Is this already tested? Or I am the first who tried it?
Update: I guess I'm wrong, I have tried to flash it again with an updated Rasher tool and it works but it take a long time to flash it . Thanks Sir @carliv, by any chance who ported it sir?
Sir @carliv , so now that you have verified that it is working with our device you can now add our unit myphone agua rio v2 (with version 2 because theres a myphone agua rio v1 with a jellybean os)

For flashing recovery on Mediatek phones is better to use Mobileuncle from phone or SPflashtools from PC. Some people said Flashify works too, but I didn't checked.
I did the port for this recovery, because I did that for other phones too and I thought to do it for this one too. You were lucky I found infos about the phone online, because you didn't provided any.
Ok, I'll add it on working device list, since the test was successful.

It's the voldmanager number for internal sdcard, probably wrong - I told you I didn't have any info about your phone since you didn't provide something, and as I don't even seen this phone I can't know what is that number. If you change that in fstabs it will work well.

Usually the fat block number in dumchar_info is the voldmanaged number, but sometimes you need to look in the phone. There are few methods to find that through adb commands. Search here on xda and you will find that somewhere.

Hm, you easily skip my first clue, which is the easiest one (posting the dumchar_info) and jump to the hardest part, searching the voldmanaged numer in the phone (usually the content of /dev/block/vold will tell you that in a regular phone)....

Ok, first, if you quote one of my posts don't use mention too (@).
Second, your phone has an emulated internal sdcard. Post here a stock boot and recovery image from kitkat rom. If external sdcard is working, make a backup and copy from it the boot and recovery images if you don't have in official ROM.

You can create a scatter file with the use of MTKdroid Tools... After creating scattter file use that to flash ur recovery. You can also flash ur recovery without using flashtool, just install rashr tool.apk or mobileuncle tool to flash it via mobile.

Is there no available dump rom for your unit available in the internet? Try to find someone who is similar with your phone then ask him to do a full back up using mtkdroidtools then ask him to send to you the created scatter file
