I like the long tap uninstall in Apex. Not many launchers have this....
Is there a way to add this to the context menu on Themer?
Maybe an app for that?
Probably a dev request....

Hi,
For now you can easily uninstall an app by dragging it from the app drawer to the top left of the homescreen, but our developers will consider this option in the future

Okay so I rooted my phone and have been having some fun with the pm disable <package name> command. I am wondering whether there is anyway to hide applications from the drawer but not completely disable them.
I have access to these apps on the home screen and don't need them taking up space on the drawer. Obviously this isn't that important, but I can appreciate good design and maybe this is possible (without a home replacement app!)?
Any help is appreciated
On some Roms you can hide these icons by opening the app drawer, long pressing on the icon you want to hide, dragging it onto the desktop (but dont remove your finger) and then when the app drawer closes, drag the icon to the trash.
Not all ROMs allow this but some do.

What you're referring to is the advanced launcher here is the link to it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=540880
I think what the poster wanted was a stand alone way to do this without having to rely on one particular ROM or having to use any particular launcher/home replacement.

Advanced launcher is just an advanced version of the current home though. You would be able to use it and not even know that it's not the default launcher, it works exactly the same, looks exactly the same and behaves the same bar a few added features like folders in the drawer, hiding applications and setting the number of homescreens.
This thread is pretty old, but I can't find an answer to this question anywhere else. Is there any way to hide apps in the drawer? I have a rooted evo with sense. There must be a way someone has found by now!
Only way I know of is an alternate launcher. I use Launcher Pro and that allows hiding icons.

Sent from my Sprint SuperHero.
I want to do this too
it can be done from root explorer renaming app.apk to app.bak
but some will not work
Well there is this app and it seems to work as described with a ton of bonus features... Just make sure to restart you phone after hiding the apps to make it work.

Er. No it doesn't - it just hides files
Actually it does remove files and i just used it. After long pressing the "audio manager" logo it comes to menu with one icon being "hide apps". Click and select what to hide.

Yeah, press and hold on the messaging button and wait till it lets you change it to another app then select the icon you want.
But when I do that it offers me just few shortcuts and there is no shortcut for chompSMS

did you click applications in the menu with just a few?
no, I didnt. I got it now. Thank you very much
and is it possible to change language of launcher ?
Yeah, you can change it in the settings, they're still adding new languages all the time.
Where can I change the language in launcher pro, I didn't find the menu.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
I didnt find in the preferences menu language option neither.
Is there any way to alphabetically sort the App Icons on the main App Icons page without having to do it manually one at a time? My old HTC Vivid did this by default. Having the icons alphabetized would make it much easier to find and use them.

To answer my own question, the option is there in the "Custom" drop down menu at the very top of the list.

Consider putting [solved] at the end of your title. This could help users in the future.
Sorry if this is basic and/or answered elsewhere, but I failed to find another thread about it.
Can you move or remove icons in a theme? I like a lot of the themes, but I'd prefer to remove a lot of the icons they come with to save precious screen real estate. For example, I do not use Instagram, so I'd like to remove it and replace it with an icon for one of the apps I do use on a regular basis.
Thanks,
Revtim

Simply hold the app you don't want and drag it to the X at the top.. hold any app from app drawer window and drag it to the home screen.

Thanks for the reply.
That's the first thing I tried, but it doesn't work. When you say "hold" you mean a long press?
For example:
I am using the theme that looks like iOS called "SEVEN". One of the icons it comes with is 'Instagram', which I do not wish to use.
When I long-press the Instagram icon I get the same menu as when I long-press an empty part of the screen, with the following options:
BROWSE THEMES
+/- HOMESCREEN
CHANGE WALLPAPER
etc...
Please add in support for creating Activity Shortucts like other launchers have.
I need to create a shorcut for LG Health on my LG G3 as it isn't accessible in any other way than using the LG Launcher or creating a shortcut.

Are you talking about the ones found when long-pressing on the homescreen - Advanced - Shortcuts?
Yes.
Can this get done?
Any updates on "Official" LgG3 support?

The Activity Shortcuts in Themer are the same that are found in other launchers, we're not too sure if that is what you're referring to (the ones found in the Advanced settings on the long-press menu)?
Official G3 support should arrive soon, developers are still looking into it. Sorry for the delay.

No, they are not.

Take a look at that one, it may explain it better. We are trying to create shortcuts to an Activity or Intent like others let you do. There is a solution in this thread, but it requires me installing a different launcher to do it and keeping it while using Themer. I don't think this will allow me to put it in the App drawer either this way.

Apologies.
I'll pass this info onto the developers straight away.
