That is stock recovery you need to download cm recovery in .tar format and flash with odin..If it does not replace stock recovery untick reboot then after flashing switch phone off or pull battery and boot into recovery manually
Link cm recovery >> http://d-h.st/YnD <<

The ROM automatically flashes stock recovery when you boot up, easiest way to fix is:
1.Flash it through Odin BUT uncheck F reset time
2.When it's done(be sure of it) pull off the battery then put it on and start it directly in recovery
3. CWM should ask you to prevent stock ROM from flashing stock recovery
EDIT: Sorry I didn't see the person above gave you a complete answer oops [emoji28]

Recovery Modus is not working

Hello,
I have the following issue:
When I try to start the Samsung Galaxy S2 into the recovery mode with Volume Up + Power
it won't start. The samsung starts shows just Samsung Galaxy II boot screen.
If I release the buttons it goes of and on again and then trying to boot but there i have a boot loop
The only thing i can access is the download mode.
I tried to flash Philz Kernel with CWM, Siyhas Kernel and I tried to reflash the complete Samsung rom.
But also ends up in a boot loop I can't clear the cache or so because i can't access the recovery..nothing is working.
Before that I had Cyangogen.Mod 10,2 on this phone.
Any advise what else i could try to overcome this issue?
Thanks
If recovery is broken you only have one option - get a stock rom for your carrier from Samfirmware, flash it in download mode with Odin, re-root your phone, restore your most recent nandroid backup if you have one, or reflash the custom rom/kernel you were using & start again.
You haven't been using Rom Manager by chance, have you ?

Nope I tried already with stock rom. But it ends up the same.
I use Odin 3.07 and the I9100DXLSD_I9100OLBLSD_I9100DXLS8_HOME.tar flash as PDA one file.
But this didn't solve it. The recovery menu won't boot it is really strange.
I can get into download but this is all i have - nor flashing of stock rom is giving me back the recovery nor the flash of any recovery system.
CWM 6.3,0,6 - TWRP, PHILZ nothing
You need to keep trying to flash a stock rom because that's the only way you're fixing it. Search for Hopper8's 'Odin troubleshooting' thread; try the stuff in that thread. In particular, flash a 3 part stock rom which will wipe your phone & more than likely fix the issue & enable it to boot normally.
***Gosh how to delete in this forum a doublepost?...
Hello,
I could fix it somehow. I just made in Odin a Nand erase all - let it take time and flashed the stock.
Now it works again without any glitch.
muha what a birth

Please Help!!! Regarding TWRP

Can somebody tell me why my phone will ONLY boot in recovery mode now?
I did it first to try to install a zip, (latest omnirom nightly, but for some reason it failed) and now when I ask it to reboot system it brings me back to the recovery
Please help i don't know what to do
im trying to go into download mode to boot cwm recovery but it still goes to recovery
Your system partition is corrupt, restore a nandroid or reflash your rom. Check the md5 of your download.

i created a backup but when i go to the "backup" folder on the recovery there is nothing there
how do i reflash my rom?
sorry and thanks for helping
I read that if you can go into recovery you aren't bricked?
But there is nothing else I can do so this pretty much seems like a brick
I wiped it
I've taken out battery
I've tried everything I can think of
It just reboots straight back into recovery
If anybody has an idea on a fix, please help
I'd download the stock rom using odin if i could go into download mode
Right, I can boot into download mode so i assume I can fix it
I'm downloading some stock firmware now

Ok... It's Not a big problem... It's just Soft Brick... It's seems when you download or copy omni rom on your phone, something happened that caused it...
First check MD5 of your Rom file with this: [How To] Check MD5 sums
if they don't match to each other, so you have to download it again, and then put it on your SD Card... And then Do a full wipe and flash it again... it most solve your problem
You can access to download mode too... just turn off your phone, and press Vol Down + Home + Power key together and flash your Official rom with Odin...

Download an official stock ROM and put it in your sd card, then from the recovery flash the ROM. Don't know if it occurs in all versions of custom recoveries but usually it ask if it's okay for the stock ROM to flash the stock recovery. Choose yes, then everything should be out-of-the-box.
flash it with tools

You could try the zip in this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...-2-6-3-0-touch-recovery-t1943592/post50943534
Then you could just flash that using CWM. And yes it does affect things when you flash it as it changes your recovery from CWM to TWRP which is more touch screen based, easier to use as well as being a lot more powerful than a basic CWM. Having changed you may find TWRP doesn't find your previous backups. This is usually as both of those recoveries tend to save them in different places and it's just looking in the wrong place for the files. You can either change the settings to a CWM style restore or just run a new backup through TWRP and delete the old CWM one.

Guys, everytime I flash twrp using ODIN it goes down as a success. And it reboots the phone. But then I shut down the phone and reboot to recovery its once again the default Samsung Recovery. The phone is not rooted. How do I prevent the original recovery from overwriting the TWRP recovery?

Just use the TWRP Manager from the Play Store. Root the phone http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33305792&postcount=3 and install the manager.
@lurker316: forget TWRP-manager. The only extra step, you need, is a factory reset. So backup all your data before. To avoid reboot after flashing TWRP, either uncheck reboot in Odin or pull out battery after succeeded flash.
Hi guys, i have a problem with my phone, I tryed to re-root it after upgrading to android 4.3, now the only response i get from the phone is download mode and that happens only when it's plugged in, I applied this TWRP but i still have the same problem. please if anyone has an idea, help!

You can easily switch stock recovery to cwm with flashify app,No need Odin. Just flash recovery.img with this app & also u can flash custom kernals.
Check this post.....

Just press THANKS.........
Sadly didn't work, it says that my phone didn't pass the compability test so what's now? When i look for it on google play it says "your device isn't compatible with this version" but it installed succefully on my device running originally 2.3.6 with generic kitkat rom in 4.4.2 is there any method to do it in odin at least? Or custom kernel would be better? Answers will be appreciated.
No way to change it, also the risk is extreme i don't wanna brick my device, even i installed a custom kernel from odin, it showed "PASS" and my phone restarted and appeared the samsung logo later it turned off and restarted again and later the screen kept in white and i did need to get back to the old kernel
Anyway flash the stock recovery it's impossible to do.

You know that without cwm recovery u can't flash custom roms & kernals.
Pleas clear that which recovery u want stock recovery or cwm recovery?
And why?
Then I can easily guide or help u.
Best regards.
I want to change stock recovery to cwm recovery. I want cwm permanently no temporal, i know the zip file it's temporal but i want it permanent! I don't know how my phone did install "Compact" kernel with stock recovery and not with cwm i've had to do it that way 'cause odin didn't work and my phone got bricked
Can i install cwm permanent on samsung galaxy young duos? (S6102B)
I'll be very grateful if somebody could explain me!
The reason why i want cwm permanent and why i want it it's because i don't want to enter in recovery and see always the limited stock recovery with just 4 options
