My HTC desire 610 came rooted out of box when I bought it (is this normal?), superuser app came pre-installed, apps like ES file Explorer and mobo genie also came pre-installed. The major problem is that i cant seem to connect to either 3G or 4G. I'm stuck on EDGE connection.
I need help.

Hello,
I would like you to assist me. I have had the HTC desire 610 for a week. It came rooted out of box when I bought it (is this normal?), superuser app came pre-installed, apps like ES file Explorer and mobo genie also came pre-installed. The major problem I have with his device is that i cant seem to connect to either 3G or 4G. I'm stuck on EDGE connection.
I realise connection issues might be due to baseband version or the radio flashed.
Is there a way I can get the device to stock ROM? Any help to my problem will be highly appreciated. Thanks

Thanks.

I basically asked for confirmation that the fastboot screen shows TAMPERED and UNLOCKED and S-OFF
the words TAMPERED, UNLOCKED, S-ON appeared. but going to recovery brought a red triangle with exclamation mark.

I don't have the rom version for the app you mentioned, and it's hard to tell if that's the real version.
I'll recommend you do the following. In settings > power check OFF fastboot.
1. Power off your device.
2. Hold down volume down + power
3. When the white screen appears, See if the words TAMPERED and/or UNLOCKED and/or S-OFF appear at the top.
4. press volume down until you highlight recovery, than press recovery.
5. What comes up? If it's TWRP, the phone was tampered with. If not, than we can continue troubleshooting.
Also, I'm going to continue this conversation on the thread, so that anyone with similar issues can be helped. I'll paste the conversation there.

Okay, the device was definitely tampered with.
I would say the quickest thing is to get the device excahnged, if bought from an official retail store. Other than that, we can continue debugging it.
same problem
I have the same problem as dagbula. The problem is when I returned the phone to the shop where I bought it they told me that they were out of stock and they would call me if they get a replacement. I have had to bear the wrath of having slow connection. I saw this post and thought, great!!, I am not the only one. I don't know what to do with this phone now.
Sounds like that phone is second hand and probably repackaged.
Is it still fully functional?
Simply install "4G switcher" app From play Store..It May work..
I have same problem like yours..
same problem
no solution
where is the help of developers...
if in xda no help and solution, thus no help in any place at ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try to change radio
Try to change radio.
radio (AKA BaseBand) is a package which actually provides gps, wifi connectivity.
Sometimes same radio works perfect for some person and does not work for you.
I am using N_01.100.00R and it worked perfect on Blur-based and CM7-based roms.
In order to check what is your radio:
1. Go to the home screen
2. Launch Settings
3. Go to the last option in menu ("About phone"), here check what is your "Baseband version"
4. You can find different radio references and downloads in the http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1339047
5. then flash them in CWM recovery
Hope this helps.
The HTC One on at&t already has a carrier pushed software update for it... I wonder what was changed.
Current software:
Build 1.26.502.6 Radio 4A.13.3231.20_10.30.1131.05L
New software:
Build 1.26.502.10 Radio 4A.14.3250.13_10.33.1150.01L
Hopefully it fixes the bluetooth A2DP issue I was having... the phone was skipping with Spotify in my car over bluetooth on my pioneer headunit. My Galaxy Note II works just fine in my car.
Isn't the international one on 1.28, and a leaked 1.29 build is out??
And how did you get an AT&T one?

Nice, didn't notice they made an AT&T specific forum, I had this one bookmarked . Either way still seems kind of pointless as the hardware is exactly the same. It isn't like some other devices that are changed for the USA market.

Its probably that camera update that the international got, along with the typical performance improvements and what not.
Its probably bringing the phone to retail software. Don't think it will fix the bluetooth issue its the LTE interfering I think. Turn off LTE and see what happens.
I received the update too but It's not in the download folder. Battery life is amazing though.

Hello. I need to know, how I can unlock the One. I bought a few days ago One of AT&T by Swappa, locked to AT&T, I checked the price of unlock code, and came out between 5 to 30USD. I received it last night, and immediately buy the code for 13USD. I get the code, and to apply the code rejects me; incorrect code. By insecurity, buy another code, and this time came over twice. It was faster, but the result? the same code, and the same result ... Wrong code. What I can do in this case? I hope your help, thank you very much
Cheers
Just call AT&T and tell them you are going over seas for a few weeks. They will give you the code no problem. I've done it 4 times. You can just open a chat box on their site.

Yes, the truth is that I suck at English, so everything I write illegibly translate it by Google translate ... I do not even understand what I say sometimes
Which web site did you buy the unlock code from ? I'll help you out with the unlock process.
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
1. The phone has to be STOCK (original rom) for unlock to work.
2. You need to put a foreign SIM in it (i'm guessing since you're in chile) you have.
3. When you turn it on it should ask you for the code. If that doesn't work. Check #1.
I would go to the dev/Q&A section and find the stock AT&T HTC ONE RUU to revert the phone to stock to make sure that it is.

Call me crazy, I have HTC one x + (At&T) running android 4.2.2. (STOCK VERSION, updated from 4.1.1 that came out a few months ago...also locked bootloader and an unrooted device).
I've read multiple articles saying the openSSL bug should not affect my phone. However ever security app I download to test for the bug says I have open SSL version 1.0.1c and the behavior is enabled. Now, i understand that android apps can be packaged with their own version of OpenSSL, but I'm not checking the apps. Lockout app & Blue Box both save I have the bug & it's enabled system wide. Annoyed with HTC customer support because they keep saying i don't have it. Perhaps I'm missing something, but why do multiple secruity apps say I'm vulnerable. Any suggestions would help.
thanks all
Your statement isn't quite clear, but I think the 1.0.1c version IS affected by Heartbleed.

My Phone Information:
HTC ONE X + (AT&T)
OS: Android 4.2.2
STOCK/UNROOTED DEVICE
OpenSSL 1.0.1c - heartbreed enabled
So, i guess I'm wondering if anyone else with my device is seeing the same issue. I thought google confirmed 4.2.2 was not affected by the bug.
thanks

Same with my stock htc one x.
Spoke to the Swedish HTC support today and their response was that no updates to fix this was currently scheduled so in short:
"Don't use our phone if you care about your passwords being leaked" as I understood it..
I got the same response from htc, they kept saying I was on 4.1.1 and privacy matters. Didn't even listen to me. Hope they fix this...was gonna buy a new phone in a few months. Not sure if HTC will be my first choice unless they can change my mind.

http://www.slashgear.com/htc-plans-heartbleed-fix-over-top-legacy-android-risk-18325774/
Old topic, i know but yet to know, the only way i found to fix heartbleed is to upgrade to android kitkat.
I am using mokee rom at 4.4.3 kitkat latest stable and it has openssl 1.0.1e which is vulnerable but heartbeats disabled... So its safe

There is an official update for the International One X+ which fixes the heartbleed vulnerability. I'm not sure whether an official fix for the AT&T version has been released yet though.
So i rooted my htc one m8 in 2014 and flashed android revolution HD on it. Only problem is I never updated it. Since then the phone has sat idle mostly being used as a wifi device because I dropped att. I recently reactivated it with t-mobile but now I cant use data. Im wondering if this is because my version of android is so old and i haven't updated any software on it. (ROM or OTA updates) Im wondering if thats the problem and if it is can any of you guys help me fix it. I'd really appreciate it thanks!!
