WARNING! Factory Resetting your smartphone will result in the deletion of all personal data stored on the phone's internal memory. This goes for contacts, third party apps, custom ringtones, downloaded content, images etc. Keep in mind that a master reset will not delete data stored on the SD or SIM cards. Before performing a factory reset, make sure you've backed up your data.
Factory Resetting via the Settings Menu:
1.While viewing the home screen, press the "Menu" key
2.Tap "System settings"
3.Under "Personal", select "General"
4.Tap "Backup & reset"
5.Tap "Factory data reset" > "Reset phone"
6.Tap "Erase everything"
7.Review the warning information, and press "OK" to confirm
Factory Resetting Using Hardware Keys:
NOTE: Perform this method of reset assuming that the phone is unresponsive, it crashes / freezes or it otherwise prevents you from applying a factory reset using the settings menu. Keep in mind that, much like in the case of a reset through the settings menu, you will lose all personal data stored on the internal memory.
1.Turn off your smartphone. NOTE: make sure that the handset is not connected to any USB connectors
2.With the smartphone turned off, press and hold the "Power" and "Volume down" buttons at the same time
3.Keep pressing the buttons until "LG" logo appears, release the "Power" button, and immediately after, re-press and hold it
4.Once the "Factory Hard Reset" screen pops-up, release the hardware keys
5.Press the "Power" key to reset the smartphone. NOTE: to cancel, press "Volume Up" or "Volume Down"
6.Press the "Power" key again to confirm the reset, and wait for your device to complete the process and reboot

From the leo hints, tips and reg tweaks thread:
15. How to Hard Reset your Phone
To hard reset your phone which means to delete ALL personal data and settings and have the phone in factory default conditions as if you turned on the phone for the first time after purchasing, press the following buttons:
1. With the device turned off, press and hold the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons, then briefly press the POWER button.
2. Continue pressing the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons until you see this message on the screen:
"This operation will delete all your personal data, and reset all settings to the manufacturer default settings. Press VolUp to restore manufacturer defaults, or press other keys to cancel."
3. Release the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons.
4. Press the VOLUME UP button to perform the hard reset, or press any other button to cancel the reset.
You can also use Clear Storage to reset your device back to factory default settings.
1. On the Home screen, slide to the Settings tab and then tap All Settings.
2. On the System tab, tap Clear Storage.
3. Enter “1234” and then tap Yes.
Make sure you back up all your data such as Contacts, Appointments etc or they will be gone forever.
If you have flashed a custom ROM you need to download (if you don't have a backup) your stock ROM and flash it.
Thread for how to do that is HERE.

do a factory reset like this guy said, or flash a .sbf file (be sure to flash the GINGERBREAD file, any other and you risk hard bricking your device)
My cell phone model is Huawei Y536A1. It suddenly turned on by itself for several times and then finally my phone screen just stayed on the "android". I tried several ways to deal with the problem, but sill could not work.
I tried ...
1. Alternate Master Reset Method: a) press and hold the Volume Up and the Power key for 8 seconds, then release b) Press the Volume down key until "wipe data/factory reset" is highlighted c) Press the Power key to select > Press the Volume down key until "Yes -- delete all user data" is highlighted d) Press the Power key to select e) Once data has been wiped, a green "OK!" with a checkmark will be displayed f) With "reboot system now" highlighted, press the Power key to select.
--> it did not work for my phone.
2. I also tried "wipe cache partition". It still did not work. It went back to the logo "android" again.
3. I went to AT&T store. They could not help because of out of the warranty. A staff even did not want to try. It's very frustrating. Later, I asked them to change my sim card to my traditional old AT&T phone. So, my Huawei Y536A1 is no sim card now. However, i still want to use it if it can work.
After I took out of the sim card, my phone screen will stay a global sign for a while and then turn of by itself. ><
I would very appreciate if anyone could give me possible suggestions to fix that problem.
Thank you.
Hi,
this morning I was struggling with this smartphone because of the lack of primary services in the device (e.g. calls, contacts, sms).
I thought about a bug in the OS or...I don't know. So, after trying the easiest things (download some app, disable/install or install other one etc), I decided to factory reset the phone. I searched for instruction on the internet and I found this procedure: power off the device, enter in recovery mode pressing power button + volume up, wipe data to factory reset.
In fact I think I pressed volume down and a screen with android symbol and no option appeared. So, I hold power button to quite this mode and reboot the system, but now the home screen is empty and any functionality disappeared (the phone is unusable).
If now I correctly enter the recovery mode pressing power button + volume up and run "factory reset" the process starts and after a few seconds it crashes and tell me that it can't recovery the system.
So, if I simply boot the system the home screen is empty and I can't use any app or function. And neither I can recovery the system to factory reset.
Pleas help.

2.You will enter the “recovery mode”;
3. Press the remote control “down”button to find the “wipe data/factory reset” option to confirm.Then press the remote control “down” button to find the "yes--delete all user data" option to confirm, it will display the data is being erased ;
4. After wiping the data, Press the remote control “down”button to select “wipe cache partition” and press“confirm”;
5.Then select “reboot system now” (restart the system) to complete the operation, the machine will automatically power off after the operation, then please manually restart.
For me does not work, maybe is a hardware problem. Initially the projector when turned on freezes in JMGO logo, after a few attempts to enter recovery mode the laser does not light anymore.
For me also does not work.. what did you do with the projector... Mine also stuck on boot logo... kindly help
