HTC Desire U Dual Sim T327W Rooted Sucessfully
Very first step to get ROOT, you must unlock bootloader from HTCDev
go to HTCDev (register-->login-->follow few steps.)
Things we need after unlocking successfully.:.
1. PC (Windows)
2. Phone
3. Good USB Data Cable ( Original preferred that comes with Phone)
4. HTC Desire U t327w PC Drivers.
5. USB ADB Drivers / Adb Interface Debugger / Fastboot Drivers (whatever you named)
6. ClockWorkRecovery / CWM.img
Nice to have all of above. So,
Switch off phone--pull battery--wait 12 to 15 seconds--put battery-->>
Press VOL Down + ON/OFF Button simultaneously till it vibarate and HBOOT booting.
------------------let windows search for bootloader drivers.
If success --> search cmd -- run cmd as a 'Administrator'
go to adb dos prompt-- eg: C:\>adb\
Type C:\>CD\ < from out all directory >
C:\>CD adb
C:\>Adb\'fastboot devices' <hit enter>
C:\>Adb\ HTCBHGIFK001 Device < if device listed go to next command >
C:\>Adb\'fastboot flash recovery CWM.IMG' < hit enter >
== command are in inverted commas like ' ' you are must command without it. ==
it will show success window with 2.01 or anything else time.
--------- You are done it ! Recovery just flhashed by you . Weldone !-------------
Almost finished. Platform is ready to ride a bullet train....wait now its time to rulled.
ROOT final step
1. Copy SU.ZIP in SD Card\. ==> must be in root path directly and not in any folder.
2. Start in recovery by VOL Down + On/Off switch

3 Select install from Sd Card -- Note : navigate UP- DOWN with Vol up + down key, ON/Off Switch for Enter
4 Select su.zip -- press on/off-- next screen -- This cant be undone sceen appeared --
select yes from among NO pull down menu. --let the recovery install all the procedure.
--installed successfully ! appeared. reboot system now.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To check whether rooted or not., download app '' AM I ROOTED '' from google play.
Downloads :
1. HTC Drivers : ( search with Google and download )
2. ADB interface Google Drives : (search with Google and download)
3. CWM Recovery : (for this search aditya's post , thanks for his CWM recovery)
4. SU.ZIP : (search with Google and download)
(As there is not any official Custom Recovery yet, but this is successfully flashed in my HTC)

Hi,
I'm new here, I searched the forum but didn't find answers.
I have a rooted HTC Legend with CM 7, but I'm trying to understand the logic behind the rooting process.
The main questions are:
1. (Correct me if I'm wrong) I noticed that "step1-windows.bat" script is flashing a testimage.zip, which appears to be a RUU 1.31 (with rooted recovery).
In this case, If it installs RUU 1.31, why do you have to install the RUU_Legend_HTC_WWE_1.31....exe before that?
2. Why do you need to install HTCSync 2.0.33 (Old version) instead of the new HTCSync before the actual rooting process?
3. When I have a 2.1 un-rooted device with 0.43 HBOOT, can I follow the "Already OTA updated with HBOOT 1.00" section of the following guide, to root the phone instead of the regular method?
(I know it says "Already OTA updated with HBOOT 1.00", but I thought to myself that if it works with HBOOT 1.0, why shouldn't it work with HBOOT 0.43)
Many thanks
I un-rooted my phone, and then I managed to root my phone without using the RUU 1.31 exe, and without using step2-windows.bat...
then I used a fake flash CWM recovery to flash CM7 rom (so I didn't even need to install htcsync 2, because the phone wasn't connected to the computer at this point) (p.s. in this whole process I didn't use a GC and it worked just fine, maybe because I didn't run the RUU exe?)
anyway, I'm confused.. why advanced users wrote in all the root guides to install the ruu 1.31 exe, and running step2-windows.bat if it wasn't necessary?
I'm the only one replying to this post
Anyway, here are the steps I did to root my phone successfully: (In my opinion it's easier than the regular methods)
1. Verify the newest HTCSync is installed on your computer (http://www.htc.com/uk/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=313&cat=3&dl_id=1073)
2. Connect your phone to the computer as a removable storage
3. Go to Settings->Applications->Development , and verify “USB debugging” is checked
4. Download the fake flash and put it on your SD card (http://www.mediafire.com/?jtzjvxjemzx)
5. Download a Custom ROM of your choice and put in on your SD card (Recommended is CM7: http://download.cyanogenmod.com/get/update-cm-7.0.0-Legend-signed.zip)
6. Download and UnRAR rooting tools to C:\root (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=UZBQOFKM)
7. Open CMD on your computer (Start Menu->Run->CMD) and run the following:
a. c: & cd\root & crackin.bat
8. After it’s done verify you see the following line: “crwxrwxrwx … /dev/mtd/mtd0”
(If you don’t – try to re-run the command)
9. Turn off your phone and turn it on by pressing the “power” button combined with the “back” button
(Verify you see on a “Fastboot” line with red background)
10. Open CMD on your computer (Start Menu->Run->CMD) and run the following:
a. c: & cd\root & step1-windows.bat
11. Once the phone is back up – unplug your phone from your computer
12. Navigate using the volume buttons to “BOOTLOADER” and select it by pressing the “power” button, then navigate to “RECOVERY” and select it the same way
13. Once in recovery (black background with red triangle), press “volume-up” button combined with the “power” button, and then navigate using the volume buttons to “Apply sdcard:update.zip” and select it by pressing the “power” button
14. You should see a new menu – use the optical touch button to navigate and press it to select the following:
a. wipe data/factory reset
a. wipe cache partition
15. Use the optical touch button to navigate and press it to select “install zip from sdcard”:
b. Select “choose zip from sdcard” and then select the custom ROM you’ve placed on the sdcard
16. Use the “power” button to go back, and select “reboot system now”
(Did all the above without a GC in my phone - and I have a branded phone)
It would be great if some experts could comment on it thanks

Hi,
Thanks for the feedback.
Running cracking.bat and step1 have worked?
[Cause I think I got this error only when I tried to run the update.zip without doing step1 (Which I think is responsible for rooting the recovery)]
and what do you mean by downgrade to 2.1? Did you mean running the 1.31 RUU?
i have been trying to root my phone for about 3 days now . i have so many damn files and pages and websites going i am NOW totally confused .
who on these boards has an easy to understand step 1 through whatever to ROOTED tutorial ?
please i am begging for this !
Cheers
below didnt work for me ..
I never get this

Same questions over and over...
You ain't gonna get this, cause your Legend is running HBOOT > 1.XX
You need use VISIONary and temproot: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11863394&postcount=2
Still, I agree that all the info on how to root the Legend is a bit fragmented.

Did you run step1-windows.bat with a GoldCard in your phone?
Because I've found that only phones with the following CIDs won't need a GC (I have K18 and that's why I didn't need a GC):
cidnum: HTC__032
cidnum: HTC__A07
cidnum: HTC__K18
cidnum: HTC__N34
cidnum: HTC__Y13

Never tried the method posted in this topic, and I I'm assuming that's what you're trying. Have you created a goldcard? Is you're Legend branded?
Do a search and you'll find all the info you need.

Until you get this fixed, on CM (which your signature implies you have) when you reboot the device you can choose normal/bootloader/recovery.
Or you can always connect the mobile to your comp, and with adb issue the following:
adb reboot [bootloader|recovery]

What "adb reboot [bootloader|recovery]" means is:
adb reboot (to normally reboot the phone)
or
adb reboot bootloader (to reboot into bootloader mode)
or
adb reboot recovery (to reboot into recovery mode)
The [] is "optional arguments" and the | is "or" (it's the standard way of writing commands and options in computers)
About LEGEIMG.zip method - it's a way to flash RUU ROMs, so it's not related to your problem.
About the update.zip you have on your sdcard, it's for the recovery menu? (Blayo's fake flash) because if so, I think when you're in recovery you'll need "vol up" + "power" to choose the update.zip, and that means that you're in trouble...
So you can: repair the volume buttons -or- SOFF your phone and then you'll be able to flash a CWM recovery (and you wouldn't need the update.zip anymore) -or- wait for someone else to post more ways to bypass the volume buttons usage.

Wait, you're saying that the phone o/s can't start? what happens when you start it normally?
If the phone doesn't start in normal mode, maybe you can reset to factory settings by running in fastboot mode:
fastboot erase userdata

I have root and recovery on my ascend Ascend D1 (u9500) (NOT Quad!)
First i followed steps 1-7 here:
[not allowed to post link since i have to few posts]
ht tp : / / johnnyparanoia.blogspot . se/2012/06/how-to-root-huawei-ascend-p1-u9200.html
In step one i chose ("just the tools...")
To get ClockWorkMod Recovery i had to experiment a bit. Note that i believe that using CWM might hinder the possibilities to install official updates from Huawei.
How i did i wrote in a comment to the blog post previously mentioned.
I managed to install recovery (ClockWorkMod Recovery v5.8.4.5) after a lot of messing around.
First i installed Android Control (to c:\AndroidControl)
I downloaded cwm_touch_recovery_viva_beta.img and put it in c:\AndroidControl
Then i went into the phones download mode (or whatever it is called) by:
a: Turning off phone and wait a while
b: Hold Volume down and connect usb cable from computer
Now a new device shows up called Blaze. No driver could be identified. (in W7x64)
I Selected it in Device Manager and forced it to use "Android adapter ADB Interface" (I selected: Update driver software / Browse my computer... / Let me pick from a list... / Mobile phone (I think it was) / Android adapter ADB Interface).
I had the driver availible there. This might be from installing HiSuite earlier.
Now i started the command prompt (cmd) and went to c:\AndroidControl.
Then i ran the commands:
"fastboot devices" (to confirm that the device was identified. If no device is found an error will be thrown.)
"fastboot flash recovery cwm_touch_recovery_viva_beta.img"
"fastboot reboot"
Baseband version is: "IMC1202_20120620_PENTA"
Kernel version is: 3.0.8-00028-gf1d0793 [email protected] #1
Build number is: U9500-1V100R001C00B215
Kurbits!
Actually I did tried hard to follow your steps but it dostn't work. Luckily, after a long day trying i'm now successfully got my D1 a CWM (ClockWorkMod Recovery v5.8.4.5).
However, still i can't ROOT it, i've been tried the UnlockRoot but no chance. Can you tell me how you have it ROOTED?
I plan to flash an international version but the process always aborted. Is there any trick to do it? The CWM always look for UPDATE.ZIP while the firmware that I've downloaded has only UPDATE.APP
Do you have any suggestions on how this can be accomplished?
Thanks!

Where does it go wrong? I´ll qoute the steps for reference only.
The url referred in step one is: h ttp://w ww.mediafire.com/?7pdfh11ue8ykyk6
Step 1 - Download ...just the tools here - b113 b115 root u9200[Nixing] Tools Only and extract to your desktop.
Step 2 - Enable USB debugging on your phone - Settings -> Developer options -> USB debugging and plug it into your PC
Step 3 - Run hwadb.exe and let it finish.
Step 4 - Run ubl.exe and wait for it to finish.
Step 5 - Disconnect your phone from your PC and Reboot.
Step 6 - Check to see if Superuser has been installed on your phone.
Step 7 - If you find Superuser in your menu, Congratulations your phone is rooted

I got it to work without problem. If you can specify where it goes wrong could you post a screenshot of what happens or be more specific about which step that does not seem to work.
Kurbits!
Thanks for the reply. I've successfully rooted it now but not with the steps in the URL u provided. What I did was tried to fix the permission and root it via CWM.
Anyway, what I really wanna do now is to flash it with international firmware offered in Huawei download page for D1. But the thing is that the firmware is come with UPDATE.APP instead of UPDATE.ZIP and I did try to rename it but no chance, always aborted.
Do you have any idea how to get it done?
Cheers

Where does it go wrong? I´ll qoute the steps for reference only.
The url referred in step one is: h ttp://w ww.mediafire.com/?7pdfh11ue8ykyk6
I got it to work without problem. If you can specify where it goes wrong could you post a screenshot of what happens or be more specific about which step that does not seem to work.

the automated process from this thread did not work on my D1, but this manual process did:
download mempodroid and su from
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21756513&postcount=1
follow all instructions in that post up to the mempodroid command (1st 4)
execute mempodroid with these args instead (copied from the ubl.exe tool posted by the OP)
Code:
./mempodroid 0xd734 0xad9f sh
execute the rest of the commands from the mempodroid root post (up to the adb reboot)
Hey did you try the Bin4ry method? its so simple and took me seconds to root!
I am on the quad but im sure it should work through this restore method!

Reflashing U9500 to stock / Upgrading HUAWEI firmware
I have been searching these and other forums for a while trying to determine how to (a) update my CWM & rooted U9500 to the newest huawei build (221), and (b) return the phone entirely to stock (remove root & CWM). The main issue with either is that with CWM installed I couldn't figure out how to install Huawei's firmware UPDATE.APP files retrieved from their website. Here's how I got that to work:
I used the current firmware from Huawei: U9500-1,Android 4.0,V100R001C00B221,General Version (I can't post links)
Extract the HUAWEI zip and copy the dload folder (containing UPDATE.APP) to a micro sd card
Download split_updata.pl & crc binary from modaco.com forum (google "Repacking UPDATA.APP")
Run the split_updata.pl script with the path to UPDATE.APP as a command line argument. It should extract a bunch of unknown files to the output directory.
unknown_file.7 (should be 5697536 bytes) is the official recovery partition. This is what you will replace CWM with. You can rename it to recovery.img, or just use the created filename when flashing.
Boot phone in download mode:
* Power off
* Hold POWER & VOLUME DOWN buttons
* Release both when Huawei logo appears
* Phone should not continue booting or enter CWM
Run fastboot devices and make sure something is listed (mine only printed a bunch of question marks, but it worked fine)
Run fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Run fastboot reboot
After the phone boots up normally, go to settings -> storage -> software upgrade -> sd card upgade and click confirm.
This will reboot into the official recovery image and start the upgrade process. This will also remove CWM, root/superuser, and any other changes to the OS you have made.
If you were just looking to upgrade, you can reflash CWM and/or root the phone again. If you were looking to return to stock, you can then reboot into Android and run the factory reset option.

You need to correctly install the drivers for both adb and fastboot.
It would be a nightmare on a 64bit Windows system, but it's quite easy on Linux/MacOS systems.
my jetstream when i purchased was
unlocked s-off and cwm was installed but
when i try app-rootneeded they say my devices is not rooted is this possible at all?
and when try to root :
1. adb&fastboot (11MB) extracted from sdk(downloaded work good & root in C:\Android)
2. JETSTREAM-DooMLoRD-insecure-kernel-autoroot-test2-boot.img(renamed insecure.img and copy to C:\Android )
3. DooMLoRD_v2_ROOT-busybox-su
4. htc driver (find in fastbootdevices cmd and htcsync)
5. usb debbug mode
and it says
" cannot load "insecure.img" : no error "
is extended SD card need for loading insecure.img?

Hi after installing twrp via fastboot I am not able to enter twrp in any way, help?
hard brick Mi5
Hi! My phone brick during charge when i was asleep... he gets stuck in Mi logo and I 've tryed everything... no luck
After several types of attempts ...
in ADB window I was looking for the device with the wrong command -> is fastboot device and not adb device ... my device apears on hexadecimal
in mi flash comes the same id of the fastboot ADB (hexadecimal) and not the expectable COM "1"
I tried to flash fastboot rom without success, it says that I have the device locked ...
I have already filled in the form to unlock the bootloader already five months ago and I never received the code
- via fastboot ADB (recognizes the terminal but its designation is hexadecimal and not COM as intended) i already install all drivers , include qualcomm, but it never apears no manager device...
- via EDL (popup mode) is not possible because it is locked
- Mi unluck - blocks us 99% and says that "corrent acount is not bound to this device"
- Mi flash - recognize the device (hexadecimal), try to flash the rom via fastboot and says that the device is locked
I am desperate and without options ...
i think some hardware may be burn...
Hello there
I think I have bricked my phone quite bad. I tried the things you said but still the phone does not switch on. The interesting thing is that the green indicating light switches on and also when I press the power button the phone vibrates. I dont know what else should I do. Can you also tell me if I really have to press power + volume up and down + home button for 5 mins?
Thanks for the reply in advance.
Hey Guy's let's help me how I can root my Samsung Galaxy A03s and how i can find the image of twrp in my phone.
Download Platform ADB & Fastboot.
Download The Latest Odin tool.
Download 7-Zip
Download "Bifrost" on your phone.
Download The Stock ROM of your SM-A037F using the Bifrost (make sure to know your device's Model & Region-Specific CSC).
Backup User Data (as your Phone will have to be reset... Multiple times)
... Now...
Step1: Decrypt the Stock ROM you downloaded with Bifrost in the Decrypt section of Bifrost.
Step2 : Move the firmware to your PC, keep two copies.
(p.s.: leave only the "AP" file on your phone.)
One copy will be the stock firmware backup incase of any mishaps.
The second copy of the firmware; Change the file extensions of all the extracted files to ".tar" with 7-Zip.
Step3 : On your phone, Using The latest Magisk APK, patch the entire "AP" file (should be about 5GB give it some time to work.). It will now be renamed by Magisk to something else.
Step4 : Move the patched "AP" to your PC. Then lauch Odin and input all the files in the following order;
BL. - Stock BL.
AP. - MAGISK-Patched AP.
CP. - Stock CP.
CSC. - Stock CSC. (DO NOT USE "HOME CSC").
Go to "Option" tab and Untick "Auto Reboot".
Step5 : Go to "Developer Settings" on your phone and enable OEM Unlocking.
Step6 : Plug-In your phone to your PC
Step7 : Power off;
Long-press: Volume Up + Volume Down Simultaneously.
Step8 : Wait till you see a prompt to disable Device Bootloader by Holding Volume Up; Proceed with holding on Volume Up to unlock the device Bootloader.
Step9 : It will Rest your device's, so quickly Setup your phone, turn on your data connection or WiFi.
Head to the "Developer Settings" to confirm the status of your bootloader.
Repeat Step6 & Step7.
Step10 : Tap once on Volume Up to enter Download Mode and Click Start On the Odin tool on your PC to flash the Rooted Firmware on your Galaxy A037F.
Step11 : Wait for it to finish its Download and then hold Volume down and power button.
Step12 : After Booting up, Power Off and Long Press Volume Up and Power Button to enter Recovery Mode.
Step13 : Perform a Factory Reset. And Reboot
Step14 : Install Latest Magisk APK and
Done!
