[Q] New to Xposed - Verizon LG G3

I am looking to install Xposed, never used it before. Which version am I better off with 2.7 Experimental or 2.6.1 Stable? Are there still a lot of bugs to be worked out in the experimental or is it ok for someone new to this framework?

2.7 Experimental seems to work fine on my device. I have not delved into very much on the G3 yet. Used it extensively on the Note 3.

[x86][GApps] FrankenGApps 20140826 4.4.x *UPDATED! Stable! Universal!*

DO NOT FLASH THIS ON A TOUCHWIZ ROM. AOSP BASED ONLY
This is a custom GApps package I created to work with x86 devices (namely, our tab) as the normal GApps packages available are arm-only. (and no, to those who would ask, it's not as simple as downloading PA-GApps and swapping the update binary. The actual files therein are NOT x86 compatible, namely, the libs.)
UPDATE 1: With the release of 4.4. for the P5210, I am pleased to announce that this is now a full, complete, stable GApps package
It contains everything found in the PA-GApps stock zip plus:
-Hackers keyboard
-Root browser
-Xperia home
note that Hacker's keyboard and Xperia home are just there in case google keyboard / google home don't work out of the box. I don't anticipate any problems, but just to be sure. After some feedback / testing i'll remove these if people want. Root browser however is here to stay.
UPDATE 2:
As of the 20140823 build, this is now a UNIVERSAL x86 GApps package, meaning it will work on ANY x86 device running 4.4.x with zero tinkering to the zip. I did this by using a slightly modified pa-gapps updater-script coupled with an x86 update-binary.
UPDATE 3:
The 20140826 build is mostly bug fixes. The updater-script in the 20140823 build was broken. This is now fixed. Google + was broken. This is also fixed.
Google keyboard was broken. This too, is now fixed.
Tested this build myself. All is well.
For those who want a ROM to try this with, head over to @moonbutt74 's thread "odds, ends tests". He posted a successful 4.4.4 build from a few days ago on i think the 4th or 5th post (though it is by NO MEANS dd ready. We're working on it)
DOWNLOAD LINK IS BELOW.
If you want to use this for any reason other than personal use, ask me first, unless you just want to include a link on your ROM thread. If you do want to include a link in your ROM thread, link to this thread, not the download link below.
Download link:FrankenGApps-x86-20140826
old builds:
20140823 build:
FrankenGApps-x86-20140823.zip
The updater script in this build is broken. On top of that, if you fix it yourself, google + and google keyboard are borked.
20140814 build:
FrankenGApps-x86-20140814.zip
This build only works with the tab 3 10.1.
Old legacy hackey build:
FrankenGApps-x86-20140813.zip
there is absolutely no reason to flash the 20140813 build over newer builds. The 20140813 build is an unstable / hackey 4.2 gapps port, I'm just posting it for reference purposes. Naturally this build is unsupported. Please download the new build(s) from OP.
if i flash the build of 14th then i stuck on samsung boot logo. firmware was stock rooted deodexed 4.4.2. i have tryed it twice but always stuck on boot logo.

I was sameway, so I just downloaded the update from "sammobile" installed it and used " super Su from chailfire to get root also used root explore to take out the apps I did not need.

 @ghforlife
Why did you flash this on a touchwiz rom?
This zip is meant for aosp based ROMs like cm11. (I tested this package on @moonbutt74's wip cm11 build, works like a charm)
Besides, TW Roms have GApps built in

Oh, sorry, but all the other devices have cm 11, it´s like my normal behaviour to flash gapps... shame on me
Just updated to 20140823.
As of now, this GApps package is universally compatible with all x86 devices running 4.4.x. Zero tinkering to the zip necessary.
Just updated to 20140826. This build fixes updater-script, google keyboard, and google +. Read "update 3" in OP for more info.
Nice
Another stone in building our road to CM11. Thanks.
I know many will used this update.
To be honest, I am forced to used the market, but try to stay away from C I A applications. I am sorry did I say C I A. My apologies it is the Alzheimer, I mean Google.

These gapps are 6 years old and for older versions of android. Go to opengapps.org for android 7.1.2 based gapps.
And also why do you need instructions? Same as all gapps just flash the zip after flashing the rom

I have a tab 3 10.1 WiFi so if anything pops up around these threads I always have a look.
The tablet is still working fine for me without any gapps on it as I've found gapps are extremely heavy on such an old tablet. Instead I opted for a microg installation and it works perfectly (even being able to play games like bullet force or fwd assault) but i mostly use it for reading and cooking and that kind of stuff which it is perfect for.

Owhh, i see. I put this rom on my tab: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-3/development-10/rom-lineageos-14-1-t3587761
It does lag sometimes, but i removed some of the GApps it came with. I mean, the second i removed playstore some other Google apps stopped working so i had to delete them too. It's a bit better, but i dont play games on it, it's still laggy i should've chosen another ROM but i guess this is fine. Which ones are you using? If you want we can talk in discord, or here if you want, which ever way you fele comfortable. I can share the apps i have and etc, since we have the same tablet, finally i found someone in 2020 having the same device as i have! Ha. I'm still here, so if you reply and i wont answer, i will answer later, i have schedule to follow that's why
Ill wait for your response, anywhere, if you want dm me here, chat in this thread or check my discord, send a friend request and tell me here ur name so I'd accept it. You can also find me in the XDA discord server.

Hey, where have you been?

D802 - Stock Lollipop 30b - Dorimanx Kernel - Xposed + Xprivacy - Works!

Hi all,
I did not know where to post this, but I think "LG General" fits quite nicely.
After @rovo89 announced the availability of Xposed for Lollipop in February this year a lot of us where desparatly waiting for one of the most essential modules to work with it as well: Xprivacy!
Yesterday the Dutch developer Marcel Bokhorst finally released a Beta of Xprivacy which runs really good on Lollipop ROMs.
Although most information until now state a compatibility with Android 5.1.x I decided to give it a try on my D802 with stock 30b (5.0.2) and latest Dorimanx kernel.
I followed this thread to install Xposed and manually added the Xprivacy module right after.
Beside the usual hiccups with Xposed on the G2 in general (LG Smart Cover and LG Weather FC) there are no errors at all. All works as expected on my device. I am sporting a D802 with stock 30b, Dorimanx kernel V2.4 - 3.4.107, XposedInstaller 3.0 alpha2, Xposed sdk21 arm 20150430, and Xprivacy 3.6.16. This combo works, but you'll need a way to get rid of LG Smart Cover before installing Xposed or you'll be stuck in a FC-loop making your device rather unusable. I had to learn the hard way and had to remove the apk from within TWRP. So be warned! I cannot say, if this works on any other combinations of devices, ROMs or kernels. Try at your own risk!
Finally there is a safe way to run Lollipop on the LG G2!
Thanks to all the developers involved in making this happen!
Regards,
Tom

Which Framework should I use for Xposed?

Hey guys!
Hi just get my black Z5 Compact! It looks amazing!
I already unlocked BL and rooted my pretty little phone :3
Now I would like to install Xposed, but I just got a Q: wich fw should I use? I knew on my old big bad Note 4 I had to use an alternative fw for TW rom. Well, I know Xperia roms are pretty stock, but never know.
Thank y'all! :*
Well, I used XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk & xposed-v75-sdk22-arm64.zip & tested gravity box and a few others which seemed to be working fine, but as you'll see here, my camera is crashing, so until I worked out why, I can't say that xposed didn't have something to do with it.
I have camera crash too
This is the link :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=58828974&postcount=1
Thank's, already installed and replied
"I have camera crash too "
Which Build are you on? I am on the old 32.0.A.4.11 and my phone force reboots after I start any app upon boot since I installed xposed sdk22-arm64...
32.0.A.6.152
tried xposed-v80-sdk22-arm64.zip from rovo89, resulted in bootloop and had to uninstall it. just no luck, wait for more stable version.
Anybody at all able to run xposed? No combination at all of versions from 67 to 80 of sdk22 and roms can get me to even boot up. Really really frustrating.

What is the best ROM for the Redmi Note 2?

I've been switching between numerous ROM's for the past few days and STILL haven't found a good enough one.
What I want from a rom is:
Xposed PREINSTALLED
Completely stock UI experience like this ROM: h.ttp://en.miui.com/thread-178615-1-1.html
Clearmotion and miravision
Root Access
Bloatware isn't a problem if you have root.
In fact if anyone knows a method for how to install Xposed on the above mentioned ROM please get in contact with me!
Otherwise I'm interested to hear your opinion!
[EDIT]: Found it!! This ROM is exactly what I'm after, HDR doesn't work but who cares?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-2/orig-development/rom-saosp-project-t3228656
The only reason I didn't get this earlier was because it looked like a terrible theme and other awful tweaks were applied but seems it's pretty stock. Xposed works flawlessly and slow mo recording offers better options.
Anyone else in the same boat as me, download it now!!
No such rom exists, sorry.
The best way to go would be to install the hybrid-firmware by Jo-san and then install Xposed yourself.
There are Alpha versions of Xposed that support sdk21 on Arm64 when using AOSP.

[Q] 9000 custom Roms, which fits my requirements ?

I've got an S3 i9300, want to use it as daily driver.
I need an OS that is:
Stable and complete. GPS, Camera, Bluetooth etc.. works
Fast for regular usage (don't want to feel this is old hardware)
has security patches (e.g. stagefright)
preferably has the CM Privacy Manager.
no stock/bloated Samsung ROM
CM12 runs slow. BlissPop (CM12 based) runs slow. MinimalOS (Lollipop) fast but not stable or complete enough, LiquidSmooth old and not updated, AndroidRevolutionHD old etc...
I'm seeing dozens of Roms, I can't try them all.
Which ROMS do you recommend ?
Stock roms run the best. Custom roms are customisable.
I wish I stole my HTC M9.

I myself use i9300 official CM 13 Nightlies but they are kinda buggy for now if you want a totally complete rom so use these:
1. http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/development/rom-cyanogenmod-12-1-i9300-t3254215( use the latest build only for maximum performance )
2. http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/development/rom-aosp-i9300-t3207400 ( use Android 5.1.1 version )
And if you want any rom to run smoothly so you will need :
1. greenify
2. greenify donation pack
3. xposed framework
4. supersu
Use greenify to hibernate almost all system apps unless the ones make you buggy and slow like your launcher and Google now and Google services. And you'd better hibernate the user apps you don't need too. This can make you pretty fast and power saving.
Press the tnx:good: button if I helped you.

Wow, thanks for the detailed reply. I never knew Greenify was so important/impactful on overall performance.
I just tested the latest CM11 nightly and noticed it says "android security patch level December 2015". So that's good, it's secure.
One more thing, what are your thoughts on custom Kernels for performance ? I've tried Boeffla and saw a nice difference (with a slightly more performance oriented governor)

It depends on the OS version of your phone and on the build version either for example if you are on the build 20 of cm 12.1 boeffla can make you really fast but if you are on build 30 you have some instabilities coming with it ( as I tried it myself but you can try it too not so sure on this one ) but for the OS versions below 5.1.1 it is really awesome and heavily optimized and bugless.

Thanks, I tested boeffla-kernel-2.12-CM11.0-NG-i9300 with latest CM11 nightly. Phone works great, I think I'll stick with CM11 - I don't really need anything from newer android versions
I vote against greenify and any apps that task manage. Android will keep opening apps regardless of how many times you close them as that is the nature of the operating system. Just let it do what it wants and it'll eventually learn that you don't use that app.

Then you vote for speed decrease and lags and battery drain and so. If you want them to happen on your device so NP then. And knowing that S3's ram is limited and low will make the problem worst. Yeah of course if I had note5 I wouldn't use greenify!!? We only use it to solve the low ram problems that everyone suffer from and you know Android is created to install tweaks and control it as you want if not you can buy an ios device and let it do everything for you.
