I have the official quick case from Korea and plan to use a Kenu Airframe+. I'm waiting for it to go on sale in Amazon (I think i can order them tomorrow).
http://www.kenu.com/products/airframe-plus

This is what I'm using with my Quick Circle case and can say it works very well. Using the quick circle apps posted in the themes section on the forums for music controls. The official case adds no bulk to the phone. I do have a Rinke fusion case as well and I will say that any extra bulk on the phone makes it not fit well into the airframe. It will hold it, but you're at the limit of the spread on the airframe. Otherwise, a great mount and it doesn't slide or move on my air vents at all.

Thx
It looks like that if u want to make sure that the phone will not slip while not removing the quick circle case you need to press it from the both sided ... Than it will press the case and will harm it , no?

Anyone ?

I have no issues removing the phone from the car mount with the case on it. Just have to push the phone a little bit in the direction that the clip opens (to the right if mounted with the "Kenu" logo facing up) and the phone comes right out without messing with the case.

Can u send pics? Anyhow any additional ideas?

Can you be more specific?
Because I do not understand what you mean by the hard cover.

I had a little difficulty at first but, I've found the easiest way is to simply bend back the top right corner (side where the volume buttons are located) and then work your way down the right hand side. I'm sure you can be fairly rough with it without it breaking.

The Otterbox Commuter consists of 3 layers of protection.
1. Screen Protector
2. Inner Silicon skin with cover 'bumps' for the 3 face buttons and the side buttons (Vol and Camera) and a plug for the headphone jack.
3. A hard plastic shell which slips on around the skin.
All in all pretty complete protection for your phone but does cover the good looks of the phone as well as add considerable bulk.
i literally just pop it up. i pull on the left side of the hard cover a little, then pull the phone away from the hard case. it should slip off just like that.
dont be scur!!! thats why they have warranty.

Car dock

I can't figure out how to adjust the arm. The directions say "loosen either knob" but there's only one knob. Am I missing something? This is making me crazy..

No you're not its not adjustable. I am buying a Kuda leather mount base and igrip pivoting mount to screw into it to make a nice clean install I hate stuff on my windows.

There is just a circle dial behind the dock. Loosen it and you can adjust. It is definitely adjustable, you can make it go whichever way you want. I always used
a universal dock before but this thing is bad ass! Not only that, it has a removable insert so you can use it with a case on your phone! I can confirm all the
TPU-Cases cases will fit.
There is only one nob. Im super surprised your having problems with it, the manual should not of been needed. Wonder if yours is defective?

That iGrip link is not the mount it comes with, the one it comes with is adjustable.
Yes, I can see the knob to adjust the tilt. It's the other axis to adjust the height that has me confused. The directions say this is a 270 degree axis, but for me it won't budge.
Edit: after reviewing the manufacturers web site I see either they made a last second change to the design or mine was built incorrectly. Can anyone confirm? Does anyone have two adjustment knobs?

No as stated that link is the mount I'm purchasing for my custom install since I can't find a good way to use the arm that came with it.
Sgtcody only have the one knob. I've tried disassembling the arm to adjust the one you're talking about but no luck. In my Charger the glass is too deep to put it anywhere that won't be in my field of view and still accessible.

I bought this and I love it. I was screwing with this thing for and hour trying to figure out a way to get it to pivot at that point as well. I removed the caps (which is a damn pain) and then you can pull apart the side walls and then rotate it. I am not sure if it was intended that way but it will work. Hope this helps.

Didn't know that the 2 lateral knobs/caps can come off. As is, you cannot move the arm ((in the provided photo, knobs/caps circled in red do not come off or move) only the wheel/dial can rotate for adjustment. Is there a way to remove them without breaking it? Thanks.

Use a screw driver on the end, they slide off in one direction only. Once the post is exposed, you'll see that its a square and it fits into the square hole on the base which is why it does not rotate. Takes a bit to get the base arm off but it can be done, and you can change it 90 degrees up or down. It's a horrible design.
I'm thinking the iGrip Mini will be a better solution for my dash mount, the arm actually rotates and it sits a lot lower in profile.
Thanks Evil Bob, will mess with it tonight.

It would have been so much better if they sold the Evo 3D mount separate from the base you put in your car. Would have saved me money, plus they have much better mounts than what comes with the kit.
Cases that fit?
Sorry if a bit off topic here but, I saw someone confirm that TPU cases fit in the dock, can anyone else confirm any others that fit? I have an official HTC silicone one and it won’t fit (even with the dock insert pulled out). Looks like it should go but, just a bit too thick in the corners. I also tried an otterbox silicone case but no go there either…This is aggravating, anyone else having better luck?

+1 Thanks! I was having a hell of a time trying to figure out how they came off. didn't have a screwdriver near by (at the office atm) so I just pulled up on it using my desk. Those things are a b*tch!

Home made "dock" for the Transformer

Well, since it's taking so long for both Asus and 3rd parties to come with accessories for the transformer, I decided to take advantage of some foamcore scraps I had, and made me a "dock" for videochat, video watching and gaming. I say it's a "dock" because it is simply a bunch of foamcore boards, paper and glue (I'll probably seal it, sandpaper it, and paint it)
Right now, it's very handy, for using the tablet without having to hold it. It's angled, at a very confty angle, and doesn't get in the way (the keyboard dock, while awesome, gets in the way)
I had the images in my Dropbox gallery, but had to attach them because I'm a new user though a long time lurker. The good thing about putting them in the dropbox would be that I could add and update the pics at any time, without having to come back to the post, and edit it. Oh, and the picstures would be clearer, since I'm taking them with a 12 MPixel cam. Well, at least it keeps linkspam out of XDA
I must admit I am thinking of making my own dock via the use of a decorative plate stand (you know the ones, fold open to 90 degrees, have a lip at the bottom)

Yes I can, but I agree that it's not for everybody. What I do, is having the apps grouped spacially. 90% of the apps I use are on that screen. I really don't like going to the app drawer
you can always use a "folder type" system like smart shortcuts so u can categorize apps into "folders".
The plate idea is cool but ya might want to check out the arkon stand. same concept but its collapsible.
http://www.amazon.com/IPAD-ST-Unive...2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1312309239&sr=1-2
I use one of these at work (we have plenty in the supply closet):
I just put it on there upside down and let the screen rotate 180 degrees so I can plug in the charger up top. I can also put books of various sizes on the back end, to adjust screen angles.
@carrrnuttt - lol, thats brilliant
(..although i'd add some nice felt between the 'stand' and TF)
In case anyone was wandering (as i was) - this is a Black Mesh Business Card Holder - so you can pretend that is what you'll use it for

Why not just buy a cheap leather folio case for the transformer for $10 from ebay, they all have the ability to stand the TF up at an angle for video viewing/video chat etc
such as this one

I've got one of those and I have to say it's not very good when you've got the Transformer oriented the normal way (camera at the top) because the flap that covers the bottom (Dock connector) doesn't hold well so the tablet slides down quite a bit. Great as a standard case for holding, and having with the camera at the bottom, but not so great with you have it stood with the camera at the top.

I have this case and it works perfectly. Super snug fit, no slippage, anyway, just thought i would throw that out there. I am happy with mine.
Found a way to charge mine while it is the right way around in my home made dock too.
The case hooks onto the edge of the dock leaving enough gap to plug in the charger
The plastic dock is from my GFs laptop, supposed to be a stand for that, and the thing I bent into a pyramid is a leather place mat

Can I modify my S-View case to work with a Qi Receiver?

Does anyone know if it's possible to modify my non-wireless charging OEM S-View case to work with a Qi receiver? The case and the receiver use the same pins (top 2) next to the battery and I can't have both work at the same time.
I was wondering if I were to expose the pins on the back portion of the receiver and then install the S-View cover on top would work. Kinda like a sandwich..
Any thoughts? Or am I better off selling this and then purchasing the (to be released shortly) OEM S-View cover with wireless charging?
Thanks!
So I did some more searching and realized that (duh), the S4 has the S-View too.
Found these two threads:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=47673578&postcount=4
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2478592
I then added a little bit of 20 gauge wire to piggy back the middle pin, and another bit of wire to raise the bottom pin so that the S-View cover makes contact.
It works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yours is the thread I used to mod my stock cover. Unfortunately, I removed the back to see if I could make it more flush and now it's no longer working. I need to figure out a way to keep the bottom wire sandwiched between the case and phone. I'm thinking about soldering the case to build up the connector a bit.

ha ha i have a tendency to talk and talk! but if you watched it then you obviously have seen you can do it without wires or soldering and it works fine for receiving calls and switching off alarms etc and for notifications etc
but as mentioned in the video, calls from known numbers and disclosed numbers can be answered via the window but unknown numbers for some reason cant be answered via the window as those unknown numbers receiving option goes below the window. but for general purposes it works fine with any case with a window and you just may have to increase the sensitivity of the touch screen via the settings if your window has thick plastic on it.
ps: i have been using a newer receiver with NFC now for a few days and havent had time to make a video but will try to make it today and will TRY to keep it shorter! and by the way the earlier reciver i showed works great in my car qi holder too that i cobbled together with stuff i had https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTNAPp2UkkI

I don't see how this would make the S-View work. Isn't this just the Qi receiver?
From the way it looks in the stock photos, it appears to block the bottom pin needed by the OEM S-View cover.
Anyways, I've got my case working again after fiddling with the connectors but would like a more permanent solution till the official S-View with wireless charging built in is released.
I also picked up two Nokia DT-900 charging bases from AT&T ($25/ea) and they work great!

Looking for, need help

Hey guys
Been looking for a case for my g3 for a while and having a hard time finding exactly what I want...
I want to know if anyone has seen anything out there like that I am looking for...
Essentially, i want the G3 flip cover (that replaces the battery cover and has at the least NFC) but no quick circle hole... since I am running cm12, there are no apps for the quick circle and want something that doesnt have the hole for it...
Does that make sense?
I am finding some that dont have the hole but they are snap on cases, they dont replace the battery cover like the G3 case does...
Or if anyone has any ideas or seen anything on how to modify the case I have now (have the one with the quick circle)....
I was thinking about covering the inside with velvet or something... but cant think of anything to cover the hole
I imagine everything aftermarket would be a snap on. You might check aliexpress or another similar site. They typically have OEM style accessories.

Hated that about switching to Cyanogenmod! It's so much better, but I have three different QuickCircle cases and they're useless. Wish they'd add support for at least the clock!
Well, I searched and I couldn't find anything either. Perhaps you can make a hybrid of the two cases. You can get a QuickCircle case with QI and NFC for $12 brand new on eBay, then maybe you could cut off the front and take a different case that doesn't take the back and put that front on it. If you're good at sewing or glueing it might just work!
Ya all I did was glue a soft piece of material on the inside of the circle case I have and layered from carbon fibre vinyl cut into circles to fill the circle. It worked. But it wasn't as pretty as I hoped. But it works for now till I find something.
