Been using handcent since my first android great app! But recently it started not sending picture messages but every other message app i try including stock (cm11) will send pictures. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix it? Ive uninstalled it and reinstalled it wiped cache factory reset (other issues too) its really annoying and i really like the app.
I think this needs to be in that questions section. This would be an app question. Or might wanna check you apn and make sure it's all correct.

Hey guys, I flashed the Bionix-v rom, and I love it, but for some reason, now I am having issues with picture messages not sending. I downloaded ASOP from a thread, but I cannot seem to figure out how to install it. Also, I cannot figure out how to install the newer version of swype or the memo app. Can you not just do it from the zip file - app manager?

Wow. No one?...
Nope, you have to flash them.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
That's right! You have to flash them.
About MMS: change your contacts from (xxx) xxx-xxxx to plain xxxxxxxxxx.
that did the trick for me. I read there is a batch contact changer on the market. Not sure of the name though.

Just thought I'd throw this in here for people with mms problems. I had them again, and I went to settings, manage applications, all, and messaging, and then clear cache. This worked for me. As far as changing all numbers to the correct format, I found this post. I haven't tried it, but sounds like it should work.
Search for Contacts Clean-up on market. It's free. Select format +xxyyyzzzzzzz to apply to all your contacts. It worked for me. Helps when you have a big contacts list.
Hope this helps....
(I posted this in the bionix section, but it's hard to find in so many posts)
So, I just asked this question in the CM7 thread, but figured it didn't hurt to ask to all Tbolt Developers...
Is there any way to backup your contact links? For instance, I linked a bunch of my phonebook contacts to my facebook contacts, but if I perform a full wipe those links do not get synced and I have to manually relink all of the contacts again (which takes quite some time!).
I noticed that the Facebook for Sense contact information gets synced, but after a wipe the regular Facebook link information does not.
I am running CM7 RC0.6 and really want to flash the newest ROM with MR2 support, but want to do a full wipe first and would love to not have to re-link all of my contacts to facebook again.
Thank you!!
Cool rom bro... what features does it have? Screenshots?
I used to have to go through all that as well on my old Eris. I never discovered a way to back them up so I just changed my contacts name to match their Facebook names and no more problems.

Do you think if I backed up and restored Contact Storage with titanium backup the links would be preserved?

Bruce, this thread belongs in the general or q&a section. Please get it moved by contracting the mod. This section is only for dev threads like roms, kernels, radios.

I have the same issue, though with time (and deleting lots of contacts/renaming some) it appears to pick up most of them and relinks about 20-50 at a time over the course of the few hrs it takes to sync completely.
edit: Also, yes this thread should be moved to the Q&A section.

Maybe you can clear the cache of contact app.
If you have rooted and have Clockworkmod then go to recovery and wipe cache and dalvik cache and try it.
Also try uninstalling google plus if you have it. 2.0 caused FCs like this for me in Contacts

Thank you, landwomble. I was desperate, no google search would give any information on this. Searching XDA gave me this post. After uninstalling G+ 2.0.0 it looks like I can edit my contacts finally (been a month without being able to do so, I thought it was the ROM I was using).
Thank you!
I recently bought a vibrant from a friend of mine as a spare phone and I rooted it. The wife grabbed the vibrant and used it one day. she was messing around with the ROM toolbox app and then it started force closing. I don't know what she did but every 30 seconds or so it gives a prompt that says, "process Android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly". does anyone know what this means, or what I can do to fix it?

As i remember it, it had something to do with contacts sync error. Go to all apps and force stop google framework services and then force stop contacts, gmail and clear data. Do it a couple of times. Reboot and let everything sync again and hopefully it should be ok.

It has something to do with the contacts synching from what i recall.
1. Uninstall the facebook app if you have it installed.
2. Go to app manager: settings>applications>all>contacts storage>clear data
After this you can install the facebook app if it was installed.
I tried both solutions. Its still doing it, just not as often.

You might Also want to clear data from contacts storage after clearing contacts data. It will probably delete all your contacts, sms and call logs so backup etc.
I did a factory reset and force stopped/cleared data on anything that had to do with syncing contacts. I thinks its fixed! I'll post later to make sue though. I don't want to speak too soon. Thanx guys! Your help is greatly appreciated!

...well its at it again. My success was short lived. Could the wife have deleted something that may be causing this?

What rom are you using? Try a no wipe reflash
I didn't even think of flashing a rom. I flashed an ics rom and now it works fine. I'd still like to have a stock vibrant rom on hand just for the heck of it though. I really appreciate everyone's help on this. If anybody knows where I could find a stock t959 from let me know.

if you're on ics now and you want a stock rom you should odin first...you will be on stock 2.1...after that you can use kies mini to update your phone to the latest samsung official firmware which is 2.2
Err never ever use kies under any circumstance. Its a recipe for a brick. Read the sticky in this forum. Plenty of links for roms.

When my phone was doing this, it was not a contacts synch error, but a Calendar synch error. I had to clear my calendar data, export my Google calendar and re-import it, and re-do my Google account login in order to get it to stop. From my investigation, it could be any of the Google synch services.
Do a Google search for the error and one of the first responses will be an XDA thread about how to fix the error.
Thanx, I'm gonna try this tonite.

I'm not posting this is a specific ROM's thread because it happens with all 4.4 ROMs I have tried. I cannot send or receive text messages (Hangouts or the messaging app), but my data works. If I restore to 4.3, everything is fine again. Nobody else seems to be having this problem, any ideas?
No threads have been made about it. Normally it the other way around. Most people wasn't getting data.
