I have the Alliance rom v3 installed on my Galaxy s5. Love the Rom but have a few issues I'm trying to figure out how to fix. Any ideas how to fix the grayed out panels and change the greenish color of the panels. Pics below! I tried looking in settings but no luck thanks a million!

I thought that was a TW thing. I have the same issue on stock so it has nothing to do with your rom. Maybe it's an xposed thing?

Yeah, it's really jarring and annoying.
To change the gray panels to stock color: go to Settings/Custom Settings/General Mods/ then uncheck Dialog pop ups user selected

I'm sure there is, but that will definitely be more work than just setting it via the settings. What is it you're trying to achieve exactly? Also, I believe those dialog boxes are in the framework-res apk. To edit them you need to decompile the apk, edit the .9 PNG's, recompile, then push to your phone.
Here is a tool and a guide I have found that will help you.

Is there a flashable zip for floating multi-windows on VZW GN2? I searched and found a couple of threads but they seemed somewhat complicated and quite buggy. I had this feature on my GS3 with Synergyrom and loved it, I'm sure it would be even nicer on the bigger screen. Sorry if there is a simple answer that I overlooked.
Here is a simple way of getting floating multi Window. I know of no other mods at this time.

I tried that mod.... The only issue is the lock screen gets screwed up when you change the resolution.

Is it because it's built into the rom that it works so well on Synergy for the GS3? If so is it something that can be done for GN2? I ask because I don't fully understand what can just be flashed and what has to be built in to the framework of the rom to make it work properly.

Talk to echelon or trevE over in the Verizon s3 forum. They may be able to help us out.

Ihave the same problem, but I deal with the three shortcuts instead of five. Then I use an spp to control jist the lockscreen rotation. Im my opinion, the benefits far outweigh losing two shortcuts.
You can also change the dpi if you want all of your shortcuts as lpng as you can deal with smaller icons.

This seems to have no effect on my VZW Note 2. Running Jelly "Beans" with Nova Launcher and Widget Locker.
Are you hitting the save button in the right corner of xposed after you change your settings ?

Yeah same here on beans 13 didn't change multi Window at all. Tw launcher. Beans stock kernel.
Tried both resolutions. Tried different dpi.
It would be really cool to have this. I am not smart enough. Lol. But i know there are tons of smart people in these forums.

Yes, just like I do when I change DPI on all my other apps. I know how to use it. It just isn't working with Beans 13 for some reason.
Great trick! Working quite well on sprint!

Not sure if anyone posted this but I found a super easy way to kill the stupid "You NFC is on" notification.
Edit /system/csc/feature.xml file
Find the line:
CscFeature_NFC_StatusBarIconType>ATT< CscFeature_NFC_StatusBarIconType
Remove ATT save file and reboot.

Gonna have to be a little more specific for n00bs (like me, sorta), the file is called "feature.xml" not "features.xml," and I see a few instances of "ATT" but not a whole line by itself - what is the actual line?
Thanks in advance! Next task is getting rid of the Smart Stay Eye icon!

Hate to be a pain, one more edit - the full line reads:
<CscFeature_NFC_StatusBarIconType>Att</CscFeature_NFC_StatusBarIconType>
Thanks! Done and done, works great!

You're missing the point...... for some reason, Samsung decided we needed to be constantly reminded on the notification bar that NFC was enabled - we want it enabled, we don't want to disable it just to hide the icon!
just like the freaking driving mode icon and smart stay icon! I turn on driving mode and smart stay at all time, I don't need these 2 stupid icons taking up spaces on status bar! I also have noteII, it doesn't have these stupid icons! Anyone know how to remove it?

I generally just change second line right below that one, from default to false on my Canadian version since sgs3 and works here too.
JKAY DELUXE [I9300 JB 4.1.2]
Thanks for the heads up. That icon was annoying me.
For Canadian users (on Bell at least), there is no features.html file.
Look for others.html in the same directory, make the required changes and you are golden.
Cheers!

Must have been an AT&T decision. I switched from the S4 on Sprint to the AT&T S4 and on the Sprint version there was a clear option to disable the icon. Strange.
for rogers , the file is called others.xml
but anyone happen to know what line is for blocking mode ?
would like to disable that icon.
You see Im trying to port that NFC icon on other S4 variants. Because AT&T is the only one that have it on status bar.. Some people wants it so I'm trying to do it for them.. I changed the systemUI icons.... Some says att and i changed them to default... Anyways that didnt worked and flashing a att rom on my tmobile s4 did the tricked. But also people want the tmobile based roms cause of the wifi calling feature
Hi all! Just wanted to share these neat little mods I found that are working perfectly with my phone(on Clean ROM 1.5r2 Deodex) I have flashed all of them and so far no issues, the one I currently have is the red rings, see screenshot. Nice screenshot, especially like the red circle on what looks like Sasuke in the background, I may have to use the blue flames vs circles one with a little Naruto backdrop!

Framework-res.apk raw folder. Believe it's named down.ogg

Great. Thank you!
Has anyone tried installing this on a rooted ME7?
Would I be able to just extract the framework-res.apk in root explorer, replace the files with the ones in the update zip, then somehow re-zip/apk compress the file and replace the original? I have a sneeking suspicion that I'm missing something.

Is it possible to change the background of the settings menu and NOT everything else like the messages and Xposed modules background?
I know there is an Xposed Module that does it but it changes everything, If someone could point me into the file in which does this so I can edit it myself and change the background that would be awesome!
Thanks

Highly doubt it unless you do an XML edit to make Settings.apk point to a different image but I wouldnt know how to do that. @icedventimocha what do you think?

That would be another cool feature for the note 2. Transparent Settings Only. Just a thought
I was thinking of getting the gradient that matched the blue in the settings menu bar as it is now
Unfortunately its a different blue than the phone apk so it offsets it and I'm very OCD lol

Thanks iced, I figured thats what it would be.
I'm not as good supra and iced, but it is in styles.xml. However, it then points to devicedefault in framework-res.apk which then tells it what image to use.
I think the easiest fix woukd be to create your own theme in framework-res and have it pull the image you want then tell settings to use that theme.

It's called 3minit Quick Settings, it's in the Apps section I believe and yes Sac has it in his rom. But with some work it can be added to any rom.
