[Q] Session cloning - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello friends.
Is there any way one can clone a working session from a device to another device?
As in all the actions made on a device to be done in the same way realtime on another device? like gestures and everything else?
Any ideas are welcome. thank you.

Just mirror the display like Chromecast does or ?

Don't know if you are talking about exactly
If you wanna mirror your desktop to your phone/tablet, you can use splashtop or other softwares like that

guys ... i use genymotion running 2 devices . i want to clone session from a device to another , meaning i work on a device and everything i do is done like in a mirror on the other device . meaning like if i press home button on the first device , the same will happen on the second too , if i swipe and change home screen , the same will happen on the other device too. if i click to open a program on the first device , the same will happen on the second one considering the fact that the program icon will have the same position on the screen as on the first device, other wise noting happens , i just hope you understand
thank you very much

anyone?

I also would like to know.

Has anyone manged to get it running here?
Theres a thread in the Vouge forum with a bunch of guys who have it running, and this guy has it running on his Dual.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bed6KIxZ6zI
Im having trouble to get it running however.
I see it being a long time before Android becomes as good as windows mobile but I believe it has the potential to be a lot better, should be good if we can get it running on our HTC devices in the future.

hmmm...for some reason the android in the video looks nothing like the android that google introudced on the official android page.
I have had this running on my nike, works fine, but only boots with a connection to WMDC.
If you try to run any program, it freezes.
A good start though!
Android is going to be released on a HTC phone so the clever guys on this forum should be able to port it to our phones looks well good though maybe could be competing with iphone!
like I said, I reckon it will be a long while before its going to be of any good - as it gets developed over time and applications are created and able to run like tomtom etc....
but it looks very good and very promising.
Work on my HTC Touch DUal but many problem and crash!
If you want i send you my configuration and file.
Sorry for my bad english!

Request: autoclicker

Hey all,
i been following these forums for a while, now im lookin for an application that can basicly autoclick/record like a mouserecorder on the pc
my idea is basicly like this,
you have your application open, than press a key on your phone or 2 keys at the same time that starts the recorder when pressed again it stops and you are capable to run the saved record and or even loop it or run it a specific number of times
does this allready excist or is it easy for someone to make or a nice idea to do?
so after all this time, this app still doesnt excist?

i also need it, seeking on google and find no result
poor us !!!
I guess you are seeking what are called 'macros'. Closest on Android is Tasker. On rooted devices, it can simulate d-pad inputs.
I thought he meant something like this. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zausan.zscreenrecorder

Anyone else got a stupid thanks button???

When viewing a post if it is of benefit to me I like to hit the thanks button, to indeed give yes you guessed it, thanks.
But when I do the thanks graphic disappears from under the mouse pointer but no thanks is given to the poster... If I refresh the page and try again, same thing happens.
I have had this for quite a while now, I brought to the attention of one of the mods, I forget which one, but it has not been sorted...
Does anyone else have this issue or does anyone know how to resolve it?
Of course if I get it resolved, I can test it on who ever has sorted it
Cheers

What browser are you using?
Is this from your pc or phone?
I get a similar thing on my work pc (which is outdated, including flash etc) - using the works pc, it wont even show the thanks button in the first place....

Thanks for your quick reply (button not working lol).
PC on chrome, windows 7 and totally up to date chrome, it used to work... then it just didn't...
?
Hm, really? It never happened for me, although I don't check if he received it or not.
Just in case, for testing purposes, I offer myself for you and everyone else to see if it works for or not
Also if your settings are set to display old style of XDA you don't get the thanks button at all.

Some app system app port guidance

Hi,
Me and a friend are trying to port a system app from the same phone but two different roms. Here's the situation. The phone is zopo zp998 and it comes with regular Android 4.2.2. Zopo is making the exact same phone for the Chinese market with on OS based on Android 4.2.2 that's called YunOS and it doesn't have Google account support so it's not usable outside China.
The YunOS has a black screen gesture feature that you can activate in the settings under display and then while the screen is Black you can make symbols on it with your finger and open specific apps. For instance if you draw the letter C the dialer will open.
Here's where we'd like the help. My friend was able to find the system app for the gestures in YunOS and all its library files and put it in his rom. When the phone boots we can see that the gestures service is running fine but we don't have the option in the settings to activate the app. Is there a guide we can use on how to transfer a system setting and app like this? Is there another app we can use to trigger the on and off of the app? I am not so advanced to figure this out by myself. All help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi Slekkas, just an idea which might help:
Do you see "settings->advanced settings->Superuser" in your menu? This entry does not work at all and is useless, but the switch is there. If you can locate the adress of this "Superuser" entry in ROM then you can alter it (without really knowing how it works ). Exchange "Superuser" with "Black-SCR" and you got what you search for: A switch you can use. Hope this helps.

Unfortunately not... I've asked at least at 5 different forums but no one is willing to help. I feel invisible.
I've copied the file :
Gesture in /sys/devices/virtual/input/input3/
Libgesture3Dvstar.so in/system/lib/
Yunos_gestureSetting.apk in /system/app/
and it did nothing...how did you seen that gestures are ok on boot?
On 998 gestures are for sliding in app. There is an apk for active in setting.I think we had to take this apk for active blackscreen gesture, but it is integrated in settings...
no means to port yunos setting on 998...
(sorry for my bad english)
Actually i stay on yunos rom for try and try....
I'm not competent enough but Some developpers are working on it...(Fluffy...)
I worked along with fluffy on this but yunos is very complicated. It has to do something with the smali files
no further investigations here ?

Question Overcome notifications problem by mirroring from another phone?

Seems ridiculous to have to do this, but what if you had another, cheap phone and you use an app like Bridge to mirror the notifications across to the Find N - that way you'd only need to allow notifications for Bridge (by setting it to auto-start, for example), and not be limited to the 5 recents apps and 5 auto-start apps workaround...?
Have this working pretty well, for notifications that I don't really need to interact with. Am using 'Pushover' with Tasker.
Hi @lombrozo can you help me with this push notifications , I know some apps have AutoStart but Find N has 5 "not recommended" apps to auto start how set more than 5?

5 maximum I'm afraid.
I have another Android device that I use Pushover with to help, but it's not an ideal solution.

You're dreaming, I don't know if there will be a global release, but unless you can root your phone you can forget about flashing a global ROM on it....
