Hi I had to do a factory reset on my device it stopped mounting on the device, then I was unable to install or uninstall apps on device also the apps I put on sd card will not work because the sd card wouldnt mount.
So I changed my sd card.
After reset the sd card worked but I was unable to download apps from market. Any reasons y this happened.
Yes I did reboot but still says the sd card is not there under settings, however if I boot via xRecovery I can access the sd card with the xRecovery menu
I did try deleting the android folder on the sd card, still no help I guess I could tryu a different sd card when I get home
well getting further, it wrks with my 2gb sd card just not with the 8gb card even when I did a reformat,
Hi friends recently I had bought htc amaze.
When I connected my phone through cable it asks for formatting internal storage... After that I'm unable to mount sd and external sd also.. When I'm mounting sd card it shows "preparing sd card" and within a second it shows "sd card safe to remove". PLEASE HELP ME....
Try a different SD card.
Sir I've also tried different sd card but it didn't works... internal memory is not working...
Flash a RUU for your particular device.
I also tried to reinstall factory ruu... that also not working.....

I am getting this error of No external storage available on all the apps that require internal storage e.g. In Gallery, it says no external storage available, same in camera, explorer e.t.c
Have I done something wrong?

I do have an sd card, currently, the player only works with the sd card.
somehow the sd card is being treated as the internal sd card? this is completely weird. As soon as I take out the sd card, it fails to recognize the internal card.

Find "vold.fstab. (system/etc)" open it, and change "/mnt/sdcard/sdcard1" to "/mnt/sdcard/sdcard0."

1 can you go setting--- memory-- check what is available and send the scren shoot.
2 when you wipe in recovery no any strange message at the screen? like can't read or open mmcblk0p 15....
I got this same kind of problem but i dont have and external Sd, but i want to save the pictures on the phone it self is there a way to change this? Because when i open the camera ap it says, no external memory.

I had the same issue.
Go into recovery mode and try to mount emmc. That's what my external SD was renamed.
It was fine when I loaded the ROM but it flaked out after I loaded a different kernel.
I would recommend using X-plore from the Play Store to navigate your files. It's the best way to explore, move etc.
Try format SD-card:
Go to CWM -> mounts and storage -> format sdcard
first of all, I try to encrypt my sd card and it takes hours only showing "Preparing SD card; Checking for errors", so I reboot it and start decryption, also wait for hours and also only showing "Preparing SD card; Checking for errors"
then I put my sd card into a computer and repair for few seconds, my files are back
but the problem is my phone cannot read my sd card now, it will stuck on "Preparing SD card; Checking for errors" and when I go to the sd card encryption page in setting it sill let me to "continue decrypt“ my sd card
I've try to format my card (even rebuilt the partition table in linux) and have no luck, I guess the problem is my phone still think my card is "encrypted", so anyone know how to solve this?

I successfully mount my sd card by terminal (mount command) and can access the content in the terminal, but in file explorer that folder I mount on is still blank... what is going on
