Here my problem: a few weeks ago Commandr was introduced here on xda. I've tested it and everything just worked fine. Then, the developer made an update so you don't have to use "Note to Self" anymore with using Androids Accessibility option...this broke the "Ok, Google" feature. It seems that it's not easy to repair that.
First, I turned the Accessibility option out, uninstalled Commandr, set Google Search back to factory version - it was just not working. The option was still in the menue of the Search app, but it was not shown nor just even in the App and in the Search widget (Nova Launcher, "Ok, Goolge" turned on). So I've made a complete backup of everything (with Titanium, except Search and Commandr, then coppied the internal memory to computer, at least /storage/emulated/0), whiped everything with TWRP and installed latest firmware (LG G2, D80220f). After installing "Ok, Google" worked just fine again, what I expected. So I started restoring. I started with internal storage, so there was no app restored and I stopped PlayStore when it wanted to restore my apps. I had not restored everything from internal storage, only this part, restarted the system for the first time...and "Ok, Google" was just broken again
So I think there has to be something in these folders that stops the Google Search working, but I have no idea what that can be. For testing I erased /Android/data/com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox because I thought there is something that stopped the Search from using the microphone. Nothing changed.
But it's interesting, that sometimes when I quit the Search, the microphone in the Search Widget turns black for a moment as if it would work again, but it doesn't. In the debug settings of the app (opened with Unleash the Google) in the config flags under hotword_supported_locales, de-DE is listed, so I should be able to use it because this locale is which I need and have.
Does anybody knows help?
Interesting. Went back to D80220D, "Ok, Google..." just working fine. Reinstalling Commandr, same problem. Thankfully I hade an TWRP-backup.
Any idea to this behaviour?

Hi,
I installed the skyvi and not found very attractive so i delete it from my S2 Galaxy. But strange thing happened after that now i touch/press any button or perform any task Skyvi voice elaborate what i performed. Means when i touch launcher , she mentioned launcher. When i touched messages she mentioned simply what i performed and touch anything.
I want to get rid of this, For now i just lower down the volume of Media. I have already deleted the skyvi. Please help to correct this behavior. Is there any bug or any option which i have to use.
And other thing when i installed the skyvi and touch the mic option it prompts a message "sorry, your device cannot recognize voices".
All volume options are working fine like music, phone call's , voice talk etc. Thanks
Not really sure what the solution is as I have never heard of Skyvi... but have you tried disabling the services in Settings > Accessibility ?
Hello there! I have been having a bit of a problem lately. I own a BLU Dash 5.0 simunlocked from factory. It's a double sim model, which I have two sims, since the companies are spanish, let's call them Green Sim and Blue Sim (since that's how they are color coded in my status bar). It is also running Android Jelly Bean 4.2. Here is the problem. Ever since of March 20, a Chinese app appeared on my home screen, I don't know how, something called "Mobile Video" but the content was in a foreign Asian language. I suspect of my friend since I lent it to him for 15 minutes and then it appeared. Aside of this, the wifi and the Green Sim 3G was turned on.
I clicked on the app curious of it was something my friend downloaded from me, but then the app prompted me two options, I didn't know what it said since again, it was Asian. Next, I proceeded to uninstall it, going to my apps list, I was surprised to see another mysterious app, "Push_Down", that was the name. I uninstalled both Mobile Video and Push_Down. I thought I fixed the problem. Wrong.
Next day when I woke up, I found two new apps on my homescreen, and again, the Wifi and Green Sim 3G was on.These were Chinese also. I uninstalled them both and found once again "Push_Down" in my apps. After I uninstalled them, I thought the problem was finally fixed. Wrong again. Since this event, about every 2 or 3 hours, my Wifi and Green Sim 3G turn on automatically, but haven't downloaded anything new, one, because I have no credit left, and two, I have no internet at home. Ever since, daily I wake up, the same problem, the Wifi and 3G are on. I checked my SD Card, I checked my Phone Storage, both with 2 Antivirus (Avast!, and Lookout Mobile) and with Addons Detector. Surprisingly, nothing has appeared.
My last option is what hurts me most, to reset my phone, which I don't want to do since I have lots of apps installed, progress made with certain games and etc, etc. Also, I am not a root user, so I haven't rooted and won't root my phone.
Now, can anyone please help me? I am very annoyed at this happening everyday!
same problem...cheinese apps keep reinstalling
I too have had this problem for a few weeks now. Got a Chinese smartphone for Christmas (ok i know thats the first mistake, but it was worth a try for the money). mfaction royale mp720 (mpie comes up on the startup screen). Anyway i realised there where a few Chinese apps that came with it (pinyin and a app with a orange icon with a squirrel logo on it) so i unistalled these without problem. One chinese app i couldn't uninstall so i disabled it in the app settings
Everything had been working fine without problem and had been very happy with the phone until a week or so ago. started getting the apps described above installing. These include 'push_down' 'push_collect' 'filegogo' 'mobile video' and some others with chinese writing on them. I also get my phone setting itself to mute when these apps reappear. Keep uninstalling them but they keep coming back. Have tried AVG and Antimalware but they only flag things up as they install themselves, not the thing thats doing the installing. I thought that google account might be a problem so changed password and reset my phone to factory default. As a test i didn't connect back to google account. No joy. Although some apps have not reappeared some have and this morning a new one so i don't think its google account.
I did read some Chinese phones can have the malware embedded into the firmware but it's been fine for months. Perhaps there is a delay so your not likely to send the phone back then the malware begins. If this is the case then the only way round would be to root the phone then find the app or apps that are doing this. Not sure if it's easy to root one of these phones.
Anyone else had these symptoms after a full factory reset?. Anyone been able to sort it out? Anyone know of a guide to root his phone?
Hmmmmm....

Actually, as much as my experience from rooting, I haven't done it once again after a bad event I had, like almost bricking an old phone I had which for my good luck there was a way to restore it Ever since, I won't root anymore unless there exists a ROM backup by the manufacturer. But still, I don't know what's causing this. My phone has been fine since stock, I have more than 2 months with it! The problem started since last Thursday, which is why I suspect it's an app I downloaded or ad I clicked on. Any ideas?
(Also, thanks for your reply )
Hey Guys -
I've got an AT&T HTC One (M7) which has ViperONE 7.01 (4.4.4) installed and is rooted. Due to a recent bug where there was no sound in calls, I wiped then reinstalled the ROM but eventually found out the cause and applied the fix.
I'm a big user of Tasker & EventGhost and this morning decided to dive into the AutoVoice app / plug-in. I've enjoy all of the Joaoapps apps so was excited to use it.
My Issue
When going through a tutorial where you speak your name and the phone replies back to you saying your name, I got the error: "TTS Initialization Failed." I went into Settings / Accessability / Text-to-speech Output where it listed Google's Text-to-speech as the currently selected engine but all options were greyed out. The last option, "Default Language status" was the only one not greyed out but had a status of "Checking" and touching it didn't do anything.
What I've Tried to Fix Issue
I think I've had this error before, but I forgot what I had to do to fix it. I think it was something easy. I searched for about 20 minutes online, tried a few things, but still haven't found anything that will work. Below's what I've tried so far:
- Rebooted phone
- Cleared cache for Google TTS
- Uninstalled Google TTS & Rebooted - Once back up, I go to TTS in Setttings, it doesn't show Google TTS anymore, but everything's still greyed out and not working
Any ideas? Thanks!
Probably better off reporting this bug in their thread for support.

Hi all.
A3 64GB 4GB RAM - Android 11 Stock ROM no root access bc I need banking apps to work. So I can´t go lineageOS for example bc of unlocked bootloader detection not being able to be hidden by magisk anymore. (as far as I know)
I´ve been having several problems for quite some time now and only now I have been able to pinpoint the root cause.
My issues were mainly with whatsapp (but other apps as well like voice recorders) randomly disabling access to the microphone. So the other end couldn´t hear me. Or nothing was recorded. Never happened with regular phone calls. Just non system apps.
Tried things I´ve read on several forums. Such as disabling Google Assistant. revoking microphone permissions from several apps etc. nothing worked.
Another thing I noticed, that Twitter app was doing stuff it didnt on my mothers phone or my tablet. It randomly just refused to show content. No notification updates or my own tweets and replies were gone. (nothing to see here or you haven´t tweeted anything yet) several times a day.
I had to manually kill those apps and restart them and then, at least for some time they worked properly.
So I thought I´d start some debloating through adb and see what happens, bc I suspected RAM issues.
Deleted several apps. google stuff, fm radio etc. And since I´ve always used Lawnchair I decided to remove the standard launcher as well.
com.android.launcher3 which was installed under the name of Quickstep as default launcher. immediatley I noticed that 2 button navigation was gone and it automatically switched to 3 button nav. which I could live with. but switching between apps (square button) didn´t work anymore. however I decided to leave it that way for a few days to see if above problems still occured. They didn´t!
Reinstalled the package bc I like 2 button navigation. And minutes later twitter started acting up again and then I gave a whatsapp call to my mother right away. She couldnt hear me. Removed it again. After two days still no problems with microphone or twitter.
Now this is my dilemma. I´d like to use quickstep feature but also want people to hear me without having to kill apps several times a day.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Suddenly my Pixel 6 running Android 13 can no long use Google Voice. I have tried 2 different cars, 3 different USB cords, clearing cache and data, uninstalling and reinstalling the Android Auto App. All with no luck. About the only thing left I can think to do is factory reset. I hate to go to that extreme, but I drive a lot and need a functioning Android Auto.
Android Auto lets me answer calls. (It may actually be the car that is doing that). Any attempt to read incoming messages, ask directions, text a contact, ask a question, or place a call come back with "Oops, something has gone wrong, try again later". Once unplugged from the vehicle, everything works fine.
Do you have Ad Guard or some sort of adblocker installed?
I had the same problem and had to disable it for android auto, assistent, google apps and all other google apps I could find.
Problem solved

No ad blocker installed.
Another odd thing is this: On the Android Auto screen, You Tube Music is now at the top. I do not use it. I use Pandora instead. This is really strange.
You can disable YouTube Music on your mobile, it won't show up or in Android Auto select what should be on the screen.
As for your initial problem, this is not really related to the Pixel 6, the problem is related to the Google Assistant and the Google App.
Cheers
Yes, I suspected as much.
You should check your internet connection is working fine, update the Google Voice and Android Auto app, also make sure that DND is not enabled.

Perhaps using the beta versions of Google Play services, Google app and Android auto fixes the issue you're encountering. And make sure that all permissions are enabled aswell.
Ps : the beta versions can be downloaded from apkmirror.
Ended up having to factory reset the phone to fix this.
