Help can't fix s3 (stuck on get pit for mapping) - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello i've been reading so many threads about this same problem but i don't know why the solutions on others won't help me revive the phone.
My international SGS3 is dead, recovery mode won't work but Download or Odin mode does work, the phone is stuck on the Samsung logo and won't start. also this is what says Odin mode:
Product Name:
Custom Binary Download: No
Current Binary: Samsung official
System Status: Custom
I've tried CF Root v 6.4 with Odin 3.07 on PDA and i get this message: There's No Pit Partition
i've tried with the Mx.pit and CF Root on pda and i get stuck with this message: Get Pit for mapping...
i'm right now downloading GT-I9300_XEO_I9300XXALEF_I9300OXFALEA_I9300XXLEF.zip (it is supposed to come separated files to do the 3 way flash). if anyone can help me fixing this issue i will be happy to donate since i am really desperate seeing nothing works for me.
i've tried with different computers/cords/usb ports idk what to do

nothing works please somebody help me

Why did you put pit512 file in PDA section? Boot in download mode and flash rom again.
It won't boot
It is just death,no matter what I do
The pit file I put in Pit area,I'm sure about this
Do you have usb jig?

The hardware problem is between your ears .
One this is DEVELOPMENT post in Q&A .
Two you have followed instructions from XX forum why not ask them for advice .
Three are you sure you have i9100 phone as that PIT is not for this phone .
Likewise did you flash i9100 firmware .
You have a bricked phone .
Can you get to download mode if so flash a stock GB rom from stock rom thread to get the phone working .
No download mode two choices find a JTAG repair it will be cheaper than a Samsung repair . Alternative take to Samsung service and hope they dont charge but repair under warranty .

Here was mistake, Important! Do not touch any other button or make any other changes in Odin except selecting the required file as given in step 8. Why did you touch PIT button???
Pit.
When you flash tar you must not set pit for flashing. Remove battery for hour or more than put it back ,try to go in download mode , if that doesnt work find some usb jig to help you put the phone in download mode.
I'm sorry because posted here...and I thank you for you answer.
You may have right about the way I put the PIT file
can you please tell me where I can get the JTAG repair?

[Q] NAND Recovery

Hi all,
This is my first post but I readed this forum since two months and it's awesome the level inside the forum!
I write this lines because I have a problem with a S3 of my sister-in-law. I summarize all what's happened:
- She was in one point of (Argentina, I don't know where exactly) and his SG3 stops running. She carry the smartphone to one shop. After hours she went to get his SG3 and the "technician" said I'm sorry I broke your phone, take 80€ to repair the screen of smartphone (she doesn't know anything about technology...) she took the money and she gave the SG3 to me to repair...
- When I startup the phone I seen an screen that show this message "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again".
-I tried to enter in recovery mode, without success... I tried to install stock firm and the only message that I see in Odin is:
<ID:0/003> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/003> FAIL!
-After hours searching I think that the NAND is in RO and can't install anything, I tried to follow this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1840030 but in the first boot chain I get this message for lot of time and do anything more: <ID:0/003> NAND Write Start!! .
-I tested in diferent PC's and used diferents USB wires and anything...
What can more I do?
Thank you!!

i suggest you to at least hand it over to service center now. it's so good of you if you can bring your phone alive. :good:
Worth one try as warranty is void but slim chance .
One faqs and guides how to return to stock for warranty post .
Flash stock rom via Odin .
Fails Nand then you need a new motherboard .

[Q] Bootloop, no recovery, only download mode, USB questionable

Hello,
Yesterday I've checked my Galaxy S3 only to find it stuck on the logo screen, which was weird since it was working fine minutes prior to that moment. I've tried booting it into recovery mode, but the same thing appears, only this time it flashes the logo, then goes black again, then flashes it again, and so on. It can, however, go into download mode. So I've tried connecting it to Kies, and doing the firmware upgrade, but it won't recognize my phone and it fails. I've tried re-flashing the ROM via Odin, several versions of it, but it says that the partition information is missing, or something along the lines of that. I've tried re-partitioning it with the .pit file, but it failed. So then I downloaded the Galaxy S3 unified toolkit, uninstalled Kies, installed the drivers from there, but the phone doesn't get recognized in the list of devices. I've tried several other USB ports and other cables, no change. It doesn't show up as an Android device in Device manager. Perhaps the device drivers are missing, so if I can get them for the device, it might get recognized, but I'd like to get some more insight and help on this while I'm trying out other options.
Some google searching has led me to find that this is a known issue and called a bootloop and is apparently fixable, but I'm stuck for two days now, and I'd really need to get it fixed ASAP. Any help at all is appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Had the same issue. Had to download & flash *.bin file through ODIN which did the trick and enabled me to boot into recovery. I can tell you the *.bin file name when I get home later today.

As a matter of fact it is. What does that entail?
Here's what the download mode says:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME:
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: No
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
It was running 4.1.2. before the incident happened, I forgot to mention that.
It means your emmc chip is damaged and you cannot fix it with software.
If you have any remaining warranty then I suggest you contact samsung, this problem is known as partial sds.

[Q] Flashing soft bricked I9300: "There is no PIT partition"

Hello,
My Galaxy S3 recently soft bricked after I left it uncharged for a couple of days. I have no idea what caused it, but it is now only willing to boot into download mode. I tried to replace the battery, but that didn't work. The phone was rooted about a year ago, but has always worked fine.
The phone is not recognized by windows or Samsung KIES, but Odin (multiple versions: 1.85, 3.07, 3.09) recognizes it. I am however unable to flash the stock firmware to the phone. The error message is "There is no PIT partition". I've looked around but cannot find the solution to my problem. I have tried multiple PCs, USB ports and USB cables but the problem persists.
I have not yet tried to flash a PIT file to my phone since I cannot figure out which version is the right one and I'm afraid of bricking my phone even further. The specs of my phone are as follows.
Model: GT-I9300
FCC ID: A3LGTI9300A
SSN: I9300GSMH
Thanks in advance for replying.

Looking through the threads in the general forum I can find many ways to flash to the stock firmware, but I cannot find a fix for the 'There is no PIT partition' problem. They just tell me to flash the stock firmware to the phone. I'm already at this stage, and am fairly sure I have the right firmware downloaded but it just hangs at this issue. Maybe I'm blind or just cannot find it.

probably you ticked re format if not then bad sign, phone´s partition table is messed up
i bet that you nand is bad and thats what caused the brick
the pit for your device is any pit for the i9300 but with the size of your device (i.e i9300_16gb.pit or i9300-32gb.pit)

Just thought i would post another reply, not to get my post count up but purely to explain that the reason i'm probably not getting any answers to my problem is because you think i haven't looked on here already?, well to answer that i can tell you i have tried multiple threads to try and sort this out but the download links that are there are dead links so i can't go any further.
All i want to know can this be sorted and if so could i get some up to date help or if the device no good, if so i can just throw it in the bin and stop wasting anymore time on it. thanks in advance,
just one answer please, that's all i'm asking!
