I am aware that there is an available guide in rooting MT6592. Thus, I am also asking for those who already rooted their SM OCTA phone if it is effective?

Hi. I successfully rooted my SM OCTA using the Root Genius Application. You can Google it. You can also visit androidxda.com for tutorial and download of the tool.

Got the rooting no issue there but can't find and ROMs to upgrade to so rooting is useless. Searched and seached without any luck anyone got a link

I flashed my goophone I5V2 MTK6589 with smart phone flash tool with a I5 MTK 6577 rom because it look like to be one:cyclops:
I used an emmc scatter file. and i unfortunatly rewrited the PRELOADER, DSP_BL and RECOVERY files.
My phone boot now with a grey\black screen with a little music and a man who speak chinese 2 sec.
I think the rom don,t provide the good screen drivers.

hey guys just brought new tab Lava e-tab xtron+ (rk 3066 chip with android 4.2.2) having cortex A9 dual core + quad core mali gpu with 1 gb ram along with latest android 4.2.2. am having difficulty in rooting it. already have lg optimus one p500. have rooted and flashed tons of rom but having difficult time roting this tab. have tries many different ways from net but hvnt been successful. pleae provide a method for rooting this tab. sorry for my bad english

Did you try king root that's a one click method that should work if not here is the method to root your phone it says kitkat. But it will work on 5.0.1 as well I suggest try king root first it should work.

As I was kindly pointed towards this part of the forums I will ask my question here:
I would like to get myself an XIDO Z110 tablet as it is a pretty cheap yet slik gadget. However it is essential that I have root access on the tablet to install a firefall, Xposed, xPrivacy, etc.
The Octa Core A83T Cortex A7 8×2.0GHz (Android 5.1 Lollipop) used in the XIDO Z110 tablet seems to be rather new and I could not find any information on rooting, not on the XDA forums nor on Google.
Can anybody name me a tool or method for rooting the XIDO Z110? If any other gadget with a A83T processor gets successfully rooted (MeeGoPad A02, NeuTab 10.1", Allwinner 10.1" A83T to name a few) does that also apply to the XIDO Z110?
