Flashing MK802IV. - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello all.
I've got MK802IV rikomagic android ARM 3188 quad core mini pc.
I wanted to install or flash Linux on it ...I've got all required images (Kernel,Boot,System, even parameter and bootloader files) but when I flash with
RKandroid flashtool it's getting:
ERROR: Download failed
ERROR: Run failed.
I tried it maybe more than 10 times and no result no boot, but when I flash it's own recovery image.
So is there any solutions for this thread ?...
Thanks,
Regards.

Try flashing only the bootloader first. Then flash just the parameter second. Finally flash boot and kernel.

[Q] Problem with flashing recovery image on legend

Hi everyone, first of all - sorry for my english ;]
I was going thru this tutorial and now I'm stuck in a point where I have to flash recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.0-legend.img on my phone. I found that flash_image must by in /system/bin/ (I had errors like flash_image: file not found, or something like this) and when I tried to move it right there I got lots of out of memory errors. So, when I found that there is alternative method for flashing via fastboot I tried it, but now i have another error: FAILED (remote: signature verify fail). I can't install CWM via ROM Manager because of incompatibility with android 2.1 (according to wiki.cyanogenmod android needed to be downgrade to get root access)...
Could you tell me what I'm doing wrong ?
thanks for answers

Get TWRP running on vanilla 4.1.2 I9100

I searched up and down, read all the stickies here.
Problem is, in many posts links or images are broken. Other posts assume, the device already has seen custom firmware.
I got a never-touched I9100 and I want to get TWRP running. Once this is achieved, I know the rest. I currently have the stock recovery booting - somewhere this was called 3e. All my attempts to flash TWRP via heimdall resulted in only the old recovery showing up. Somewhere it was mentioned I have to flash another kernel first.
So please, does someone have a tutorial or can leave some notes that WORK?

Thanks for helping and taking your time to upload! So I heimdall-flash this kernel and then 3-button-combo brings me into twrp 2.6.3 from where i can flash lineage or something similar?
And the reason for this is - if I understand right - recovery on I9100 is not a standalone partition but part of the kernel partition - so your recovery will always be bound to your kernel. Did I get this right?
Nope, cannot flash this kernel with heimdall:
Code:
heimdall flash --BOOT Apolo-4.15b_ExtrV2-TWRP/zImage --no-reboot
results in an error:
Code:
Session begun.
Downloading device's PIT file...
PIT file download successful.
Uploading BOOT
100%
ERROR: Failed to confirm end of file transfer sequence!
ERROR: BOOT upload failed!
Ending session...

Unfortuately this wont help. I tried to install it with the Samung 3e recovery via adb sideload, but the 3e fails to verify the signature. So I cannot use your kernel.zip file. Reading the other linked thread now.
Thanks for helping me, btw. I guess everyone owning a S2 already has a custom rom installed and thats why all the guides I find are oudated. My S2 is just for playing around, so I am in no hurry.

Huawei mate 10 pro wont boot at all. Please help.!!

Hello,
I was wondering if some could help me please. I wanted to flash RR Rom 6.0 on my BLA-L09(I think that what's it is) phone.
I was able to unlock my boot loader, and flash TWRP my device but my dumb s*** flashed TWRP to my file system use FLASH SYSTEM instead of FLASH RECOVERY. Now, I can't fix it ?. I know I can use sideload so I'm not panicking just yet however I know I messed up the file system.
Could someone tell me what file system system I should be using (fat, exfat, ext4, etc...) and what to do to get this think to boot backup.?
I've tried and side loading "update_full_BLA-L29_hw_la.zip" stock ROM but no luck... I keep getting this error message:
"check_write_data_to_partition,write data error
Update_huawei_pkg_from_ota_zip: update package from zip failed
Updated process ended with error: 9"
HELP.!!!

[Help] Unpacking recovery and boot. Encrypted blocks or custom packing

Hi. I recently bought couple of tv boxes and decided to modify their firmware for my needs (root in progress).
All devices are Amlogic S905X based, so i found multiple TWRP builds for s905x and tried to boot from sdcard.
Obviously i failed: none of them were loaded and device just stuck at logo screen. So i decided to build my own version of TWRP based on stock recovery. As far as i'm writing this message obviously i failed again.
I'm unable to unpack stock ramdisk and kernel, looks like they were encrypted and are decrypted by second stage bootloader during boot. Though i'm experienced in cracking but i never had a deal with bootloader disassembly and analysis, so i need help unpacking this at least tell me how to disassemble bootloader correctly.
I've attached recovery and boot images.

Unable to extract system image [Infinix X657(MT6580)]

Trying to build a custom TWRP for my phone using this guide, but pulling files from /system is locked behind root perms.
I described my issues with trying to root in a different thread.
Tried just extracting the system image instead but that doesn't seem to work.
Using mkboot on the system image (system-sign) does complete (though unlike the other images, it doesn't show any magic values), and gives a separate system-sign.img in the given directory, but trying to loop mount it fails.
Using abootimg gives the error:
recovery-sign.img: no Android Magic Value
recovery-sign.img: not a valid Android Boot Image.
Ext4 unpacker on windows just gives "unknown filesystem"

The recovery porter completed, though now I have no way of testing the image, using fastboot boot gives
Sending 'boot.img' (22834 KB) FAILED (remote: 'data is too large')
And trying to flash directly gives the same error I described in this thread of
Writing 'recovery' FAILED (remote: 'sparse image size span overflow.')
