I cant send pics or any MMS.. HELP!! - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

I am having issues with my SMS & MMS messaging, ever since I did the update on my phone.
I use Handcent SMS & I have verizon service. Sometimes it takes like 8 tries for my phone to finally send a text message.
& sending an MMS is just out.of the question now.. I cant send pics or anything anymore. Ive tried being on wifi, ive tried not being on wifi. Its so frustrating.
I dont know a whole lot about kernels & modems.. etc. But here is what my phone is on:
Android 4.4.2
Baseband: 1545VRUFNC5
Kernel: 3.4.0 [email protected]#1
Build: KOT49H.1545VRUFNC5
Anyone having issues with sending texts or MMS TOO,?? Any ideas of what I might be able to try to get it to work??
Anyone know the MMS settings?? Like MMSC, PROXY or PORT?? For handcent, on verizon??

Stupid question probably, but do you still have the stock app installed? Have you checked the "use for all sms" setting in handcent?

I've ran into the same issue since going to 4.4.2 ... If wifi is enabled no mms will be delivered (regular sms seems fine). I've tried the safe mode trick which didn't work and neither did changing the others.xml or using Verizon APN settings.
Stock messaging, Handcent, textra and gosms... None of them seem to work without toggling wifi & resending.
Factory reset did work for 3-4 days but it's back to not working

This tip seems to working for me... At the moment anyway...

I finally had to remove Handcent from the phone. Reg app works now.

How do I clear the data on messaging?? & yes I still have the stock messaging app installed. & yes handscent is set to be used for all messages.
I cant send an MMS, with WiFi on or with it off..
I know that putting in the MMSC , PROXY & PORT settings may not help.. but I just wanna try anyways. So does anyone know what they are supposed to be?? It never hurts to try.. right??

Try uninstalling handscent. then go to stock messaging. hit home, then hold in home, long press on messaging, hit app info, then clear data.
see if MMS is working... and if it does you can try to reinstall handscent.

MMS Takes over 10 minutes to send now? Community 1.3

Lately it's been taking about10-15 minutes of messing around trying to get the phone to send mms or just to wait for it to send. Sometimes starting two of the same picture helps but most of the time it's just a painfully annoying waiting game. Any ideas on how to fix this? Or anyone else having this issue?
Have you tried go sms pro, free in market? It can work as sms/ mms with stock app or in settings it can be a stand alone replacement. It has been my only sms/mms for a while now with no issues. I use it wether I am on a custom rom or a rooted stock one, I uninstall the stock one and use go sms, no problems.

I would agree, Go SMS Pro works so much better than the stock messaging app. I kept the stock version installed though, just disabled the notification. Works perfectly...

MMS Square Boxes?

Okay so, I can receive MMS, but when I press download I get this box, anyone having this problem?
EDIT; for those telling me to fully wipe and stuff, I already did that.

Check and or change your apns. If it is not set up correctly it will not send/receive mms. It will receive regular text usually. Look up the thread about apns. If you cant get it to work pm me and I will send what my settings are.

Here's one thread about apn settings.

[UPDATED 5/22][AT&T DATA FIX] AT&T's HSPA+ APN's
you gave absolutely no information about your situation. What Rom are you on? What kernel? Have u checked in both those threads to see if it's an issue with anyone else? Do you use the stock sms app or third party? Did u freeze the stock sms app if you are using third party? How long has this been happening? If you don't give any details how do you expect anyone to help u resolve the issue.

Try changing your network settings. From CDMA/lte to CDMA only.
Some have problems and some don't. It may be a network issue as many Sprint forums complain about it

What you need to do is go to the stock messaging app and go to the settings and uncheck auto receive mms. Then when you get a mms go into the stock messaging app and click download. That'll fix it

I'm having the same issue, where I cannot send nor receive MMS messages. I tried changing the network type and unchecking the "auto-receive" setting and using the "download" buttons in the actual message but to no avail.
If anyone has any other ideas (other than contacting Sprint) please let me know! It's strange that it only affects some users and not others.
Thank you in advance!
If you are on cm10 or 10.1 then sprint can't help you.
So don't waste your time.
You can try sending a MMS to yourself. That's one of the first things i do when i flash an aosp rom. It might hang for me 1 out of 20 MMS.

Can you describe exactly what the problem is? Is the picture just not going through at all?
MMS
I can't get MMS to work either. I flashed the unofficial cm 10.1 rom and just yesterday I flashed the cyanogenmod black 10.1 rom. Now i've tried other suggested fixes and they don't work. I downloaded go sms on both roms and i can send and receive mms, but for some reason I can't do it in the stock apps. This leads me to believe that its not an issue with the network but rather the stock app. Am I correct? I usually use go sms but I like the fact that with the stock app i can pull down the notification bar and just push reply from there and get a little pop up window.
BTW when I uncheck auto-receive it just shows me that I have a mms message but it won't download. This is the only issue I've had so far with cm 10.1. I don't want to go back to a sense rom.
Galaxy Nexus - Same MMS Problem on LTE only... 3g ok
Tried cm10, pa3, and EOS 4 all have the same issue when sending/receiving MMS while on a LTE.
Everything works great on 3g.
Compared the the APNs for EOS and the stock OTA 4.2.1 from sprint (which mms via LTE work) and they look the same.
So whats broken with all these roms?
You guys should try this. Back in the day ,pre-android era, whenever I had issues with text I would send one to myself and that would fix it! So I sent myself an mms and that fixed it for me. Also try sending it through goSMS maybe and then uninstall the app if you don't like it. Keep in mind that I am able to receive MMS through goSMS just not the stock app. Good Luck!!

I've tried all the quick and not so quick fixes offered so far including yours and none including yours work... sorry. The problem is with the ROM(s) which most assuredly are not based on the official OTA 4.2.1 from Sprint. I know this because mms works on the official OTA from sprint for either wifi, 3g, and LTE. So until the rom devs decide to fix this problem we are not going to be able to send/recieve mms on LTE.
Hmm

So you don't even get mms on 3rd party apps?... I couldn't get them on the stock app but goSMS would received them without me having to mess with any of the settings.

[Q] Can't Send Picture Message running Cyanogenmod 10.2

HELP PLEASE! This is really annoying but I can't send pictures. All it does is it just says sending... then when I tried turning off WIFI I couldn't go to any site cause it says that I don't have data connection. Is there a way to fix this? If there's a post to fix this could you please post it here.
There is no fix because mms will only send over a mobile data connection and not over WiFi

same problem here in orlando, mms on note3 and s3 will try to send wheel just keeps spinning and will say failed, but the person I sent mms to will get message 5 times, I am on boost, apn 32030
Just to update. I found out that Google voice was causing my problem. Don't know why though. On my old HTC evo 4G I never had this problem with Google voice.
Sent from my SM-N900P using xda app-developers app
Edit: Since disconnecting Google voice from my account I am now able to receive mms, but am still having the issue where when I send an MMS the message will send but my phone will show that it failed and repeatedly sends the message. Using stock messaging app.
