I've looked through every menu and can't find where to enable voice control for snooze. Was this feature removed for the S5? If so is there something else out there like it?

Hi, apparently samsung has removed this feature on the S5.
However, you can always try my free app "Voice Snooze Alarm" which suits that purpose: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gp.voicesnoozealarm
Any feedback is always welcome!

Hello
I'm seeking to get notifications (such as gmail subject, or a new sms) on my lock screen.
So I installed HeadsUp Notification which is said to be compatible with Android 4.2 and lower, and I cannot activate the service in the android options.
I mean, there is a "service" option, I click on it, and I find a screen where there is only a text, and no checkbox or anything
Do you know how to activate the service? Or to get another application that may display my notifications on my lock screen? (even if it replaces my actual lockscreen).
Thanks

This thread may help you to activate the service:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/omate-truesmart/help/enabling-accessibility-services-t2920649
I am also looking for a notifications app, see my thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/oma.../looking-notification-app-standalone-t2925247
I will try HeadsUp Notification.
I used to use RCB Root Call Blocker, and that app was the best ever, ever since Oreo it no longer works, the Dev knows this, and knows how to make it work, but it would be blacklisted on the Play store.
I tried Blacklist Blocker from Fdroid, and that worked well on Oreo.
Now that I am on Pie, Blacklist Blocker no longer works either.
The best I can do is, do not disturb for anyone that is not in my contacts.
Does anyone know of a call blocker that actually works?
Thanks
I made my own with this Tasker write up. http://tasker.wikidot.com/block-calls#allow_instructions :good:
Seems to work well, I did not add the "Ringer Volume 0" task as my phone would only vibrate and not ring, but it does not ring a blocked number without 0 volume any ways.
Tasker is on my list for a nice donation, awesome app.
Unbelievable but obviously true, the tab vibrates by incoming calls only. There are no other options for vibration feedback like on the keyboard or home screen for example. That's quite poor for such a tab in my opinion

There are, in settings

Yes, of course but only that one option for incoming calls

Hi @meduza
I had the opposite issue where it would vibrate for all notifications which I didn't want. The solution was to edit the individual app notification settings (Settings -> Notifications ) to disable vibration. In your case, you'd be looking to enable vibration.
I hope this helps.
I was wondering the same thing... OP is referring to calls/notifications, but HAPTIC feedback (app touches, keyboard touches, navigation button presses...) are disabled and the settings that are usually there on other devices, including the Tab S4 and 5e, are gone. GBoard does let you select vibration on key presses, but if you set it to 'system default', it states DISABLED, so this IS disabled in the OS.

Cool, thanks! That helped in deed! Didn't know there is an option to turn on vibration in individual app notification settings. This brought back the vibration to my email app

That's exactly it! Only one option, the one for incoming calls. I asked in the samsung members app support, if this is really like this or if there is something wrong with my tab, I just couldn't believe it.
The answer was, my tab is o.k., there is this one option only I hope they will fix this with some update ... .

Hi, I understand that it may sound lame but this notification is driving me crazy.
I was googling a lot but still don't understand why I am getting it few times a day.
Looks like this is something called weather tomorrow from Google.
I disabled everything I cloud found in Google settings and in Google assist that correlate to weather but still nothing.
Any idea how to stop it?
It could also be linked to chrome news/weather feed.
Have you tried disabling it by swiping the notification itself to the left and press the settings button?

That was already disabled, however I found one more that was still enabled - daily weather forecast
I disabled it now and will see how it goes.
Thanks everyone.
FYI I no longer receive this notification. Thanks everyone.
For some reason I noticed the device does not vibrate for any type of notifications.
SMS, Email, Calendar etc.
Anyone know how to fix this.
I tried going into setting and sounds , i am only able to set vibrate patterns on ring only, nothing for sms or notifications.
is there an external app or something we can do to fix this?
let me know

Hi @rinnycoop121,
First and foremost, are you certain that all of your vibration settings are correctly set?
First, check all of the following sections within settings:
Sounds & Vibration (Vibration & Silent)
Make sure that "Vibration" is on
Sounds & Vibration (Sound Effects and Modes)
Make sure that "Default notification sound" is set to a sound you can adequately hear
System > Accessibility (Vibration & haptic strength)
Make sure that it is on for "Notification vibration"
Then, for each app you wish to change the notification settings for, do the following::
Go into the "App info" (Settings) of the app, select "Notifications", and then make sure everything you want is checked.
You would do the same thing for every other app where you want notifications to appear.
If the previous procedures did not solve your issue, there is an external app that you may utilize. "BuzzKill," which specializes in notification automation, is the one I'm most acquainted with. According to the Google Play store, BuzzKill "allows you to see the notifications you want to see when you want to see them and filter out those you don't". I suppose "BuzzKill" may be the answer you're looking for to solve your notification issue.
