Hey, people
Odds are good this has been treated before. If so please link me to the thread? Thanks.
I've been having issues updating apps on Google play. The portion if the app to he updated is downloaded and it just freezes there. It looks like there's a problem adding the increment to the original file. How to fix?
I thought it was a problem with my Moto G, but it continues with my OnePlus One and it's annoying. Sometimes it completes, somtimes it just stays there and prevents other updates. Sometimes I'm able to finish the update by stopping and restarting. Sometimes even that doesn't help. Sometimes quickly resetting the connection by toggling USB tethering or just connecting to a laptop triggers a completion. Sometimes nothing at all happens.
I've tried clearing data and cache for Google play and services, like was suggested in a thread I read somewhere. No dice. Even Google+ just froze.
Can anyone help me?
Anyone?

Has anyone else noticed that a lot of OpenFeint games are acting weird? I noticed with Abduction! 2, if I go to Airplane mode, it will not force close. But, once I have internet access, it starts up and within a few seconds, it force closes. It's attempting to connect to OpenFeint but it won't.
On other games, such as Fruit Ninja, it will connect, but instead of my username, it gives me some weird number as my user ID. I have to open up OpenFeint, tell it to connect as a different user, and then log in under my actual handle. After that, the games will connect fine using my actual username, but Abduction! 2 still crashes unless I turn off internet access.
I'm running on a Droid X2. Yes, it is rooted and it's running CM7. However, I tested this under stock 2.3.4 and Eclipse 2.0.4 as well and the problem still persists.
I've gone and cleared all the data for the game, uninstalled it and then reinstalled it, and the problem still persists. I've even gone and deleted the openfeint directory on my SDcard.
Any ideas? Every time Abduction! 2 crashes, I tell it to send a report, so hopefully there is something there.
Thanks!

Thanks for describing the problem so thoroughly. I'm having the exact same problem on a Galaxy Nexus. The crash stack trace says that it's hitting a ServerException when connecting to openfeint. It skips that request when in airplane mode.
Im having issues and I really don't want to factory reset the phone unless no one has any ideas. Netflix, Pandora, Amazon, Playstation, and Vudu all time out and give some sort of an error about inability to connect when I try to use them. Happens on both 4G and Wifi. Have tried reinstalling all apps and rebooting. Task manager disabled.
Anyone else having similar problems? My phone isn't rooted.
Well I broke down and did a factory reset...
Everything is functioning like it should be now.
So, I have an unrooted i9100 with 4.1.2 Android version.
Before last night, everything was working fine on my mobile. The thing was I wanted to download youtube videos on phone directly and I installed an app for it. When I tried downloading via it, it stopped around 50%. I tried resuming the download and even restarting it but somehow (and I think each one of us, has seen it some time or the other), a download was stuck in notification bar with no progress. When it kept happening for a long time, I went to its App Info (download manager) and i think I forced stop and disabled it as well (don't remember what I did first. But I had to do the other since, the download thing didn't disappear from notification bar after the first move). After that, I noticed that my play store kept giving that "no connection - retry" thing and dolphin browser "web page unavailable, is your connection dry". But my wifi was working properly since I could easily connect to my laptop and work on it. The more ridiculous fact was that WhatsApp worked.
So, I kept looking for the solution online and there didn't appear to be anything similar to my problem. I did stumble upon a Cyanogenmod website and just found some words like never disable download manager because if you do, you might have to root again or something similar to that. When I saw that, I thought I would have to factory rest. So, I did backup of my data and reset it. The thing is the problem still exists. Frustrating thing is that for one, I can't surf internet on browser, nor download my apps I had previously (especially the paid license ones which don't exist in apk) and update them.
So, I don't really know what can be done in this situation. Do I have to root my phone? I don't really want to, because my past experience with them had not been good while installing new custom roms. But is it unavoidable at this stage?
Edit: I also remembered that I tried using mobile data to open play store. My connection was too slow to open the page, but the "no connection" was not being displayed in the home page so it might have been trying to load.
Help! LG G5 keeps restarting whenever i download/install an app. I was downloading Clash Royale (a game), and my phone just randomly restarts in the middle of installation. I reboot it back up and the installation continues. I have already tried to factory reset the phone but that did not fix the problem. Does anyone have any tips? All help is appreciated!
I have rogers btw
I have rogers for anyone wondering
There could be various reasons for this. Quite obviously it could be the Play Store, although I doubt it as no one else reported such a thing.. Nevertheless, try to uninstall updates to it and maybe even Play Services. If it didn't help, a logcat output would be very helpful.
Hey guys!
I've been experiencing some regular random restarts and app crashes. The phone restarts randomly with the Auto Restart Option being turned off and some of the apps crash and I get a notification that the app is experiencing multiple crashes. Then I go to the Device Care and I see that it says that a certain app has experienced multiple crashes. Some of the apps were the Camera App, GBoard, Settings, Google APP etc. Did not have any issues with the device until now. I have factory reset the phone and cleared the partiotion cache. Now the phone restarts randomly at least once a day but it still experiences the issue with the app crashes. Have you guys experienced something like this? I have researched the issue on the web but could not find any particular fixes. I do not think that this is a hardware issue as the phone charges (wired/wireless) and it does not restart randomly during charing. The device also connects to my pc with USB cable without problems as well. I also self checked everything in the Samsung Members app. Everything was working properly. Do you have any suggestitions or advise on how to fix that?
Many thanks!!!!!

I don't have a suggestion for an instant fix. But I suspect one of two possibilities:
1) One other non-Google app running in the background is the culprit.
You don't say whether you did a massive uninstall of apps. Either uninstall one at a time to see if there's improvement. Or all of them.
2) Something is corrupt in the metadata that came from your most recent Android OS patch. Best solution but the most effort would be to do a factory reset and introduce apps slowly over days.
Hi guys I just wanted to mention that something similar happened to my S21. And in my case, it was related to the way I charged my phone. So, I had this very long zoom meeting and my phone was dying so I plugged my phone to a USB port extender plugged to my laptop. My phone was charging super slow probably for an hour or two. After that the random shutting down started nonstop. I restarted, clean the phone app cache, nothing worked. I found the solution: Just properly charge your phone! So I just turned my phone off and plugged to my Anker fast charger and let it plugged until it hit the 85% (I have that option on to extend the battery life) And this fixed the problem .
