I just picked up the Z2 Tablet form Verizon. I just noticed there doesn't appear to be a phone dialer on it. No Icon for Dialer or Phone in apps. However, under settings -> application manager-> All there is a "Phone" application with a size of 11.28MB listed. Is there a way to launch this or add it to the App drawer or home screen. It seems to be hidden...

You can install 3rd party dialing apply from the play store. I used on to open up the service menu and then uninstalled it. I used exdialer.

I lost my green Phone icon in ADW.
It used to take me to my main dial screen from which I could select contacts etc. Since, it isn't an app, I cannot just drag it out off my app drawer. Also none of the custom actions seem to match so far.
I could still use "contacts" directly, but I like the way that dialer worked best.
I want to it back, preferably without wiping or reinstalling ADW. Any suggestions?

Simply drag "Phone" from app drawer to home screen and then to launch bar.

My phone reboots everytime I slide the MIUIWiz lockscreen down using the text icon (right most). Anyone else having this issue? Any ideas on how I can fix it?
You probably need to set the messaging app.
In the Settings menu, simply go to TSM Parts -> Lockscreen Settings -> Custom App, and choose the app and you should be good to go You don't have to assign it to a messaging app either; anything you could assign to a homescreen shortcut is possible.

Thanks for the reply! I couldn't get it to display any messaging app in the TSM. I get some apps listed, but not the GOSMS that came with the Rom. The phone slider, music, and lock/unlock work perfectly fine, it's just the messaging.

I just recently got the GS3(not rooted, stock everything) and was wondering if the apps located on the bottom taskbar and also the apps shortcuts located on the lock screen can be replaced with a widget? The reason I ask is because of the stock messaging app. The one good feature about this app is that on the lock screen it'll let you know how many unread messages you have by showing a number on the icon for the app. However, I'm not a fan of the app itself(regarding how it interprets picture messages) therefore I've installed GO SMS which was my messaging app from my old Incredible. Unfortunately if you replace the stock messaging app with the GO SMS app on the bottom taskbar and lock screen it will not show how many missed messages you have on the GO SMS icon. However, if you just place the GO SMS widget on any screen the widget will show how many missed messages you have. I've tried all options I can think of but when you drag a widget down to the taskbar it won't go in like the app would nor do I have the option of putting a widget on the lock screen(settings/lock screen/lock screen options/shortcuts). Any suggestions or would this require a root?

For security reasons android automatically blocks the installation of other apps while Glovebox is running, to prevent installations without your consent. You have to disable the app and re-enable it again after the installation.]

I've always been able to remove the frequent apps bar at the top of all the apps. It appears Google removed this pleasure for me at 7.1.2. Is there any way to make it go away?
Touch your wall paper. You will get three options, changing wallpaper, widgets and settings. Go to settings and change app suggestions. Thats it
