Anyone get double tap to wake to work with CM11? If so, how? That's the one thing holding me back from switching from stock.

Hello all Xperia Ultra lover I have tried and installed many exposed module and applications to get wake screen by volume keys without any success.
Even tried Keymapper to MOD default key configuration without any luck.:crying:.
Now just found really nice utility works with Exposed which wake the screen by volume buttons.
All credit goes to developer of this application. I am just sharing here so please thank him as well.
Using it since 4 days no any problem working like a charm.
You can download this module from here attached or you can download from download section of your xposed application.
After activating and rebooting just open application go to last menu other mod and activate volume screen wake reboot and you are done.:laugh::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
Great find. But does it work with JB as in xposed repo it says some features dont work on JB.
Currently I am using Auto screen on which automatically wakes the screen when I open the flip cover. So even my vol buttons are not prone to wear and tear
Nevertheless will give this a try too.

So I know that some ROMs for the DNA have active display and all. But when I had the LG G2, one of my favorite features was it's double tap to wake feature. Sadly, that phone's screen shattered and was no more. Now I'm back to my DNA lol. So. Any options for this feature?
Thanks guys!

get NuSenseSix Max ROM then enable the feature in sense6toolbox I believe
heads up I got off that rom because the touch screen would **** up occasionally and i would have to restart the phone.
ok thanks for the reply. like, i know nuSense had that Motion Gesture Wake feature.But is that the tap to unlock thing?
Is there a kernel that supports double tap to wake on the stock rom?
Instead of going to every development forum for these ROMs and asking each one this question, I decided to just put it here.
Simply:
Does any custom ROM for the VS985 running Android L have knock code (not just knock on and knock off, the actual lock screen method) built in yet? (I did look around, and no threads really state that. I asked about three, and two responded. Both have knock on and knock off, but not knock code to unlock.)
I know I can do this with XPosed and get it, but I just really want to know if any of these Android L custom ROMs have knock code unlock (built in) yet!
If any do, please do link it so I can install it.
Thanks!
You can tap twice on the screen to wake up to the lockscreen and tap twice on the status bar to lock once on. But you can't use Xposed on Lollipop because Closed doesn't support the ART runtime.

the "knock on, Knock Off" is kernal related, not rom related, or otherwise referred to as DT2W or DT2S (double tap to wake / double tap to sleep), LG baked this into they're kernal and call it Knock on/knock off, all you really need is a kernal that works with your rom that supports DT2W/DT2S.... I have been sticking to a modified stock setup, doing quick search I dont really see much kernal development for the G3

Knock on and knock off aren't the issue, those work fine with just about every Android L ROM I've seen. (Meaning they have the kernel that does it.)
My question is where knock code is?
Also, now I want to know if any have the stock clipboard tray or whatever like it?

I believe knock on is tied to the framework of stock lg firmware so I don't know if we will we knock code anytime soon although I do miss it.

Well, I cannot even used Xposed for the knock code; not like I would anyways.
I shall just wait for an update to have this.
Hopefully the clipboard tray as well, and that's all about I need to make Android L a daily driver.
Hello. I can't find anything about this problem. I want you to help me.
Everytime I press the power button to go to sleep my s3 takes one second break and then the screen goes off. What is the problem?
Some information:
CyanogenMod 11 (SNAPSHOT M12);
GT-I9300;
Stock kernel;
No changes to CPU.

I mean, that if I want my phone to go to sleep it takes a second (screen stays on for a second) and then he sleeps. No matter if I press the power button or double tap the status bar.

Please check the Settings.
Example: If S-Voice by Double HOme Button is activated, going to the Home Screen has also a short delay.

I'm not on stock android. That's why I wrote the information.
So ask your rom chef for help

It is a small issue caused by the HWComposer and is fixed in PAC rom. The issue is based on a commit that the Cyanogen guys maybe forgot to include in the buildbot's config. http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/development/rom-pac-nightlies-t2668572 .
hi guys , i've buyed today the honor 9 passing from a zenfone 2 ,
the first thing that i'm missing is the double tap , i've read that modifying the build.prop it restore this functionality,
but i've read there that this guy didn't get it working http://blog.acarter.co.uk/2017/08/huawei-honor-9-double-tap-to-wake-not-working/

RROS even has a setting to enable that but it didn't do anything for me either. I think that's just not possible on the Honor 9... Sadly - would have loved to have that feature too.

The fps always goes straight into the homescreen and I often just want to see my notifications on the lockscreen. Having to press the power button on the side therefore can be quite inconvenient when the phone is lying on the desk.
PS: Oh, well, that was another downside of EMUI. I don't get why they don't show older notifications on the lockscreen. If the phone gets unlocked once, all the notifications for this moment don't show up on the lockscreen anymore (which stock Android and I guess most other OEM skins do).

Strange that it is missing as it works in the H7.
Isn't that a hardware limitation at least on the h9?
Well bro you can use the "Evie Launcher", than go to settings and pick double Tap option. You can lock your phone via Double Tap than (Not unlocking)
