Hello. I just baught that phone from china so I think is china version and it have 4 gb of memory. I practically can't use it because both sim cards are continuously disconnect from the operator network. I am trying to use it in Romania. Any help from you guys would be appreciated. Any idea about what can I do? Thank in advance!

What ROM or modem do you use? And what operator: Vodafone, Orange,Cosmote,Digi?

Baseband version is P780.V52.2013/11/06 11:17 and build number is P780_136_140306. I need to use it with Cosmote and Orange providers. Thanks.

Hmm... Seems to me your phone is bought and produced in 2014. Try to do this:
1. Flash 124 ROW ROM with a custom preloader you will find around here.
2. Then do OTA update.
3. The update will install for your phone ROW( rest of the world) modem. For me worked(pentru mine a mers ).
4. PM me iff this don't work.

I flashed 124ROW and now my phone is dead I only can enter the recovery mode. Any sugestions? Thanks!

Ok ill PM you for further information.
Finally, after many hours for trying many rom's this one made my day 'P780 4.4.2 1423 ST Pure GAPPS ROOT' . With this ROM both my SIM cards work like a charm and finally i can use my new Lenovo phone. Many thanks to our colleague Stympy!!!

When someone try to call me on sim2 number they receive msg PHONE UNREACHABLE not sure what is wrong wid handset...tried exploring this forum ppl r recommending modem upgrade but not sure for my handset which modem is required. So far signal strength shows gud for both sim and i can make outgoing call from sim2 without any problem. Few details which i can share for my handset INDIA:
SIM1 : VODAFONE 3G DATA CONNECTION ACTIVE
SIM2 : IDEA 2G
SIM2 IS USED FOR PRIMARY CALLING AND SIM1 FOR DATA USAGE

I havnt tried for upgrade. Its a brand new handset and kitkat update is not stable.
Unreachable is not very frequent. My frnd upgraded to kitkat and not suggesting me at this.moment.
Already contacted network provider idea cellular but no success.They asked me to swap sim but 3G slot is for vodafone so unable to do so.
Any other suggestiob if u have pls ?

I dont know what to say. New handset? I did not think so. I have this phone since last year. Try to root it with framaroot and change modems. You will find alot of modems in my post called: How about some modems.

Thanks for your response. So it will.be on experimenting modems but it will be simply trial and hit and risky especially wid a new handset nd im a newcomer. I have already returned one lenevo p780 and this is my second p780. Is there any reference mapping like against which model version compatible with which modem version. Anyways thanks again.

coverege problem
hello! i have lenovo p780 model 2013chinese version. i've chenged the roms several times including the ROW version i fixed the coverege problems with changing the baseband and everything was ok until the last time i've updated it with 4.4.2.since then i've got very bad coverege. i installed the original rom s125 try any baseband but no change.and also ive got the message nvram warning:err=0x10 in the wlan networks menu.if anyone got similar problem and solved it pls HELP! )

Same problem here. First rooted and then installed another rom and now it says only emergeny calls.
I have upgraded to kitkat though. but still no recognizing of a provider. It says when i want to call : not registered to a network.
1 minute ago i did register to a network but still the same.
Familiar to anyone ? Thanx for the help.
One thing still....
I did use KIES and installed 3 times the stock rom of the S3 before rooting and installing a kitkat new rom.
Still not registered to a network and of course only emergency calls.

Guys this is one of the most asked questions in this forum your efs as been changed because of the new efsv1 and efsv2 issue look in the stickies section you will find your answer..(clue you need to change your baseband or restore your backed up efs)

Have the same problem.
Chinese model, flashed ROW, and regardless of Vibe or not on top of it installed, my second SIM doesn't work.
After testing with different modems, I came to the conclusion that whenever I install a modem that works 2100 and 900 Mhz WCDMA for SIM1, then SIM2 refuses to work.
After installing a modem for 2100Mhz WCDMA only, it should work.
See my post http://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-p780/help/test-radios-4-row-t2761568/post52947423 for a list of modems I had problems and no problems with.
Does that solve the problem ?

I just received my IUNI U3 yesterday, and I have a problem that GSM SIM slot is not working with any operator in Egypt. Also when inserting both the SIMS togather it looses signal for 4G/3G SIM :'(
I used to face such troubles with my JIAYU G3 and I changed IMEIs to fix it, but do not know how to do this with Snapdragon dual SIM phone???
I tried TESTANDROİDX posts on AndroidBrick, but there are many and all in Turkish? Can you please tell me which post/posts exactly you followed? I can use google translate to try them!

After the last couple of days convinced that I had bricked my Lenovo P2, but using this guide above: OS_Man - I sorted it in a couple of hours by backing up my wife's P2 using the QPST software backup option, then used the Hex editor to overwrite the .QCN file with my IMEI and restored the altered original. No problem.

Does mobile need to be rooted and bootloader unlocked to follow this procedure?

I could re instate imei numbers to my phone by opening diag port using ussd code. But still mobile isn't showing any network reception.
Imei sv number though look suspicious. It's showing as 01 where as all mobiles at home are showing it as 00. Don't know if that's the cause of issue. Also don't know whether and how I can change them.
Help! Since I installed the Android 5.0.2, can not get carrier signal! Not 2g, 3g, nothing ... the message that appears is: "No Service".:crying:
No can do call, says I need to disable the "Airplane Mode", but I'm not in airplane mode! not receive SMS. Nothing!

Why wore CM11 and took well ... and now I'm back to CM and has no more sign before and had ... :crying:

Install stock 4.4.4 again, if not work after this, maybe you lost IMEI, you need send phone to motorola assistance.

I managed to solve my problem!
It was why my ROM was from India, so could not have signal here in Brazil. Now installed the original Brazil Stock and returned to normal. I thank you all for your great attention! :good: :good: :good:

Rcently my redmi note 9 pro got hardly bricked after flashing a wrong region rom.After too many struggles the phn got its life back.But now one more issue arised that there's no network at all.Now the technician asking for more money to fix this network.
Its too much for me,as im just a student.
I need to know if i can repair this network problem myself.
Can anyone let me know about the procedures?
