It's maybe possible but I don't know how. Because when I install Official ROM NX507J_CNCommon_V1.20 by Twrp Recovery, it detect that there is no Super User and ask me whether to install it or not. After boot into the phone I run "SuperSU installer" (which automatically add by Twrp Recovery) this installer root this phone in the process of installation.
thanks, It is work flawlesly
Help! My virusscanner says that the file Nubia Z7 Mini Root+Recovery.rar is containing a virus. Apparantly the file TowelRoot v3.apk contains a virus? This computer has McAffee.
Can you help me?

TowelRoot v5.apk seem like a virus to some Antivirus software. Mine is Eset Nod32 Smart Security V.6 and it doesn't treat this apk as a virus. You have to disable McAffee for a few minutes when you transfer this apk to SD card and insert this card to Z7 Mini or Uninstall McAfffee then install Eset Nod32. :cyclops:

Is-it possible to Unroot the phone with SuperSU ?
Greetings all !
I have this phone for couple of days now and I'm really satisfied with it.
I am wondering anyone have push notification issues with apps ? For example, when I clear Whatsapp in Task Manager I won't get new messages until I manually open app again. Therefore, I have to lock app in Task Manager so I can recieve new messages.
Furthermore, built-in email app won't trigger notification LED when new mail arrives. Anyone have same issues ?
Thank you !

SuperSU can unroot this phone by run "Full unroot" in "SETTINGS" tab and can be easily root again by TowelRoot v3. (Check root status by using Antutu Benchmark)

Right.. I'm refering to the apps with changed icons. I'm not sure if there's any difference between Mini and Mini Pro versions of this apk's and I don't wan't to "brick" and recover my phone for the 5th time

Thanks for the back up are they the original files. For mini pro and are they from the latest firmware.
There is a discussion on pulloff thread about htc icons they work on mini with the latest firmware not sure if they work on pro.
When i open CMD and write adb shell --> i get $
then i write su, but i get permission denied?
I need the # right?
And when i do have the #, will i just copy the 40 lines from here, and then its on the phone?
1.2.A.1.174
That's the latest firmware

The files are straight from my X10 mini pro running 1.2.A.1.174 build
That's what I'm asking. I'd love to use the theme and have it fully black, but I don't want to mess with the funcionality of the apps, if they're different.
Oh well.. I guess I can always download the modified files, extract the assets and do the modification on my own.

Thanks a lot for the files .
I used root explorer.
Easiest way.
Make sure u have rooted your device and have super user installed.
U need root explorer or any explorer which allows you to r/w files.
This is the istructions.
Do it one by one if your scared.
Make sure you mount to r/w and also keep an eye on 1ow icon since it changes back to r/o. When browsing certain folders.
Copy framwork to sytem and set the permission,then move to framworw folders .
Copy the other apk files to sytem and set permission,then move to apps folder.
How to set permission
Hold on to the file e.g framework a list of option will pop up scroll to permission and tick the 1st two boxes on the first line and the 2nd and 3rd line tick the 1st box only ,then un tick any other box which I havnt mentioned.
Then reboot your phone.
Good lick
Don't use root explorer method for htc icon it dosent work.

You need to Accept superuser permissions in Your phone. Until application won't have it You will receive "Permission denied" message.
For second question - You need to input them one by one.

wondering z4root is worked on the latest firmware? i am headche bout this ...
the z4root does not work on the current firmware (2.0.2.A.0.24). As jimbo77 mentioned, this works on 2.0.A.0.504 (older one).
I think jimbo77 try to say that you can have JITv2 enabled without update to the 2.0.2.A.0.24
Thank you for your guide, I have finally both Jit and xRecovery installed on my X10i.
I have 622 on my first run , I suspect it is due to my sD card which is the one provided with my cellphone.
That is weird... have you installed Zdizihu's JIT? IF so please do as follows go into Recovery mode and navigate to advanced something I can't remember right now and look for "wipe Dalvik cache" select it and then reboot... you'll notice a better score....
Sent from my X10i
EDIT: Nevermind....Noob move...already had xrecovery and JIT installed, was trying to clean up junk apps so did whole process to find out it was removing timescape, backup and restore, etc. which I had also already done with Titanium Backup.
I have the previous version of JIT installed, can I run this over?
If I do not want to remove the junk apps, is it possible to skip this step in section 9?

Yes and Yes... You can overwrite the JIT version you have and you can skip the Junk Cleaning step... Just don't run that script....
After you install JIT V2 I recommend you to do a Dalvik Cache wipe just as 1 post above....

Hmm well did you run both scripts xrecovery & xrecovery-reinstall in that order?... I've done the same steps a lot of times with no issues....
Does this work ok with asop 008a? I have jit v2 already and xrecovery v1 but what happens if you run remove junk apps or is this just for 'stock roms?'

I think so coz it will go and delete some SE apps like timescape which are not included in Jerpelea's custom ROMS... but I can include some others if you want me to... Just PM me the app names...

Odd since I'm following the same procedure. Why don't you re install busybox from market and run the first 2 scripts only... then reboot and try again...
I haven't had any issue with this method ever it is just like flawless for me....

That did the job. I only seem to get xrecovery by rebooting through gscript not the normal way. Anyway thanks for the reply. Oh, is jit the ultimate optimizer for stock2.1 or are there other good tricks to use? Just out of interest. Cheers.

In the quick boot tool there is also the option to xrecovery boot? Shouldn't I do that then ?

I red (like a lot of persons) this marvelous post : 'http://www.xda-developers.com/android/sony-ps4-remote-play-ported/'.
And i decided to do it !
Well,I saw that it need a CWM Recovery on my phone but to do it i must have a bootloader unlocked !
But, with my Xperia Z2 (Android 4.4.2) when i enter to the dialer *#*#7378423#*#* to access the service menu.
It show me that my device cannot be unlocked.
What i must understand ? Remote ps4 isn't for me ?
Thank you very much to answer me.

No need to unlock bootloader!!!
All you need is root
Instructions how to root are here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2784900
After you rooted you can install recovery
Then follow http://www.xda-developers.com/android/sony-ps4-remote-play-ported to get PS4 remote going

Firstly make sure your phone is ROOTED(Bootloader LOCKED).
Download the attached files from this thread
Unzip and copy "PS4 Remote Play Port by Xperia PlayStation FOR ALL DEVICES (4.0+)" to your SDcard or phone memory.
Use a root explorer or enable root mode in ES Explorer and copy "system" files to the required folders(which will need to overwrite the old files)
Set permissions to "rw- r-- r--"
install the Playstation.apk and Voila we all waiting for Sony to release the Z3 so that we can use the app to the full potential...

Hello everyone.
Sorry for my bad English, I'm Spanish.
Recently I upgraded to 4.4.2 EMUI KitKat 3.0, however I can not install Gapps with the ROM.
How could install?
I realized:
1) Rename unstall_apk.xml to unstall_apk.old and restart (without success).
2) I tried with ROM Manager (Recovery is in Chinese but guessed the menu '' install zip from '') but after a few seconds. . . . ''! '' in red (I gather it is a mistake).
3) I downloaded gapps 4.4. in XDA http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942 to reset manual recovery mode. (Without success).
I do not know what to do, really can install Gapps with ROM ?, I need to run ... Cerberus Cerberus will not work without Gapps in ROM.
Please help me.

There is actually a very simple workaround for google services (other than google+, which there is another solution), and it doesnt involve 'hacking' or meddling with system files, rooting is not even needed because even on china roms, Huawei has actually implemented the google framework within, all we need are the correct apps, simply launch the default Huawei Store (App Centre) and search for Google Play, GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter and GoogleContactsSynAdapter
After installation of Google Play, just launch it and install other Gapps u need from there
Really, simple as that.
I'd recommend you reflashing the 4.4.2 EMUI 3.0 ROM again before doing the above, if you have already messed up the system files
Thank you very much for responding.
I got downloaded from Huawei Store (App Center) Google Play, GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter and GoogleContactsSynAdapter.
Cerberus but does not work.
Does Google + Where can I download??
I downloaded Google + App Center but fails to install ...
I think Google + for Cerberus work is necessary.
Doesn't work for me. These are are showing as already installed. Deleting them and reinstalling them does not let me connect to Google's servers.
On my mobile does work (only sync contacts and calendar).
Cerberus but does not work. I'm sure that does not work Google services.
In EMUI 2.XX (4.2.2) I did the same: I donwloaded Apps of Google in AppCenter but Cerberus does not work.
I renamed unstall_apk.xml to unstall_old.xml and restart, the Gapps automatically installed. Is this not possible in MediaPad X1 EMUI 3.0 4.4.2?
No, no such file.
4.4.2 EMUI 3.0 (320 dpi)

Sorry, my fault, I thought you were talking about 4.4.2, but now I realize you are talking about 4.2.2
I explained wrong.
Before the old version 4.2.2 unstall_apk.xml is renombraba to unstall_apk.old to restart and install Gapps. The directory was: / cust / channel / charm_china_u / xml / UNSTALL_APK.XML
Now the new version 4.4.2 unstall_apk.xml directory is different route: cust / hw / default / xml / unstall_apk.xml
The problem I have is that I can not have native Gapps (in ROM).

To get Google + working, your mediapad needs to be rooted.
Download a file manager that can access system files (Root Explorer, Solid Explorer etc)
copy the 2 attached files to:
com.google.android.maps.jar -> /system/framework/com.google.android.maps.jar
com.google.android.maps.xml -> /system/etc/permissions/com.google.android.maps.xml
set the permissions of both files to 644
reboot the device
upon reboot, you will see the 'Android is upgrading' dialog box
after successful reboot, download Google + from Play store and install
shd work fine
Cerberus too, my guess
good luck!

for each say 0=skip 1=remove 2=revert back
* use more switch to disable some questionable/helpful stuff
* disable up to 70 apps with possibility to revert back
I usually cook these files carefully, here i just removed non existing packages, added existing vendor packages. Vendor garbage gets uninstalled straight away, majority of packages is disabled in non-root mode (per user) so it can be reenabled later. You can edit the file.
unzip the file to some folder
adb shell as it's plugged to PC and authorized (and usb debugging in developer otions on)
go to the folder with script
cp TabA7_cleanup.sh /data/local/tmp
chmod +x /data/local/tmp/TabA7_cleanup.sh
/data/local/tmp/TabA7_cleanup.sh;
Tested ok on August Android 11 EU firmware. It produced no errors (=packages relevant), but there could be regional differences, producing exceptions in your case. See other comments below if the instructions are unclear.
Download: (file attached)
BatteryBattery saving:
turn off location
turn off permissions and app usage for usual snitches
in Adguard turn off WIFI/mobile for each app (will be the default), then reenable few - advantage: no ads in games, no stupid accidental payments. Also set WIFI/mobile off when screen off -> tablet won't do anything, just keep idle for days hopefully
don't even enable GMS, this device can be a good throwawy tablet with no login to ANY service, without encryption, just pure gamepad.... likely no password/PIN to unlock. It's with slow CPU but games work nicely. It's not even slower than S4 flagship tablet honestly.
hi, thanks for the guide, very insightful with me transitioning from iOS.
My only question is the script, I’ve downloaded ABD and can shell into my device. However I’m having issues when copying the script, it keeps coming up saying invalid path, I’ve looked everywhere for a tutorial but with me having limited knowledge I’m at a dead end
any help greatly appreciated

i just flashed the new firmware and did it again, no problem. First i copied the script from Windows to somewhere on Android (/storage/emulated/0 or similar "noexec" quasi-sd card location), and then moved it to a location from where it can be executed. The location should work and is generally recommended. You can find another one /data/local, /tmp or whatever is there. Or use adb push <PC_file> <target_directory>. Or post the screenshot. This should be a trivial issue and can't stop you.

Place the script on the tablet in an easy to remember location.
Open Powershell:
“adb shell” or “./abd shell” (whichever works)
“Cp /storage/emulated/0/FILELOCATION/TabA7_cleanup.sh /data/local/tmp”
then follow the rest of the instructions
now getting this error

Is your USB debugging turned on in the dev settings, did you hit authorise on your device when you first plugged it in?
you can check if you’re device is authorised with “adb devices”
edit: not sure if it matters but try a lowercase cp

yeah lowercase cp works
Working with LADB ( no computer needed)
https://www.xda-developers.com/debloat-your-phone-run-adb-shell-commands-no-root-no-pc/
Download: https://disk.yandex.com/d/H02YifGGtrErbw
////////////Run an .sh file to install ///////////
cd /sdcard
cp cleanup.sh /data/local/tmp
cd /data/local/tmp
ls -l
chmod +x /data/local/tmp/cleanup.sh
ls -l
./cleanup.sh

( and run .sh script with LADB)
Tips howto install LADB:
important! Always use "Open in split screen view” for pairing devices. (only first connection, next time don't need)

@tom.android have you removed all theese 41 apps and the tablet functions ok, without any problems ? Is there any real benefit in performance and especially in lagging ?
Reply: @nikoum
Just removed (switch off) my unused app, sorry not help for good performance but no trouble.
Note: LADB

How dose this work without rooting? When I try to run the script from ADB i get Can't execute: permission denied?
I run "cmd", then "adb shell" and then "pm uninstall --user 0 <package name>". Make sure in developer options to check USB debugging to on and when connecting device with usb cable, authorize the conneftion, when asked by the phone.

Tab A7 stock rootless setup
model used: Tab A7 Lite SM-T220
Just a quick article for this nicely sized 8.7" tablet. It's a baby tablet, not wasting time with rooting We want:
* debloating
* better battery
* better privacy
* call recording
* disk encryption
* tweaks
RootingNo rooting. No logins, not even Google login, that's the plan. FDroid, Aurora, Vanced manager to deploy all you need. No contacts, no SMS, no location, nothing to protect.
ModulesMagisk-
XPosed-
Apps* AdGuard -> supreme adblocker and firewall. Set VPN approach (rootless friendly, assuming device will stay at home), turn on HTTPS and turn off internet for all apps. Then enable few (browser, youtube, aurora) specifically.
* YouTube Vanced -> YouTube without ads and sponsor blocks.. install in non root mode, and remove the existing originals
* (optional) MiXplorer -> best file manager, replaces spyware ES File explorer you had before
* F-Droid -> open source apps
* Aurora -> all apps
DebloatingWhat the script does:
* choose 8 categories of app removal, in the beginning of the file
for each say 0=skip 1=remove 2=revert back

that's literally discussed above incl all common mistakes, if you think it's unique, please post a screenshot.
Your right got it working. Didn't releaize it was a big deal not to have it in /tmp
I keep trying to do the cp step but it keeps saying no such file or directory.
I checked my tablet with MiX and there's no local folder on data... What am I doing wrong here?
Is better privacy only possible with rooting? I want to disable the radio entirely and remove all of the Google apps.

i disabled google, and using Aurora without root. With no logins, no PIM data, no location tracking, there's almost no data to steal. But if I was using it as a mobile phone, with logins, contacts etc, i'd have to root.

I'm not using it as a phone and there is still no data to steal, but I still want to get rid of those things. I want to completely remove the tracking apps regardless of how little there is to track because they are bloat. I want to completely disable the radio, the microphone, gps, and blu tooth. I don't even want wireless internet connections to remain.
