I sent my phone in for repairs since it wouldnt boot anymore (the product of a botched KDZ update by me). LG managed to fix it and its been working fine until I got home and found that USB debugging and USB mounting has disappeared... o_0 I couldnt find the little android icons on the notification bar when I connect it to any computer. The LG PC suite couldnt find the phone. and even though I have USB debugging or Mass Storage only set to on, I cant find the icons or the options that normally were there at the notification bar...
On a sidenote: The error "The application LGMITS Service (process com.lge.lgmits) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." pops up once in a while... I dont even know what application that is... I havent opened anything like that. o_0
Is this LG's way of telling me that I shouldnt mess with my phone anymore? I was planning to install the JIT enabler and custom recovery at least and then install apps to my sd.
Or is something still wrong with my phone? I'm going to call them up tomorrow to ask about this but I would like to ask the community's opnion too...

I haven't english on my phone so, maybe I give you not exactly valid information and may be this menu disappeared as well.
So go to home desktop, press menu button, go to application --> developemnt --> USB Debbuging. Is there this menu?
The LGMITS force close was a bug in firmware version 10a for some Optimus One users. Upgrade to 10c removed the problem.
Correct me if I am wrong...
You seem to mean the PC cannot detect your phone.
So you dont see the debugging or usb connected icon on your phone notifications.
But you activated them in Settings. So the options are there but it just doesn't work?
Was at least an unknown usb device detected by the PC?
Firstly, though unlikely might want to check if its the usb cable itself the problem.
Connect the cable from PC to another phone...see if it detects a connection
or try a spare cable if you have one with your Optimus One and PC
If cable is not the problem,
and there is totally no detection of usb connection on PC and phone, you might want to check with LG...
USB Debugging is set to on... That part I know how to do but I remember when I set USB debugging and Mass Storage on, there will be 2 icons on the notification bar when you plug them in to a computer (regardless if PC or mac). An Android icon which looks like it has spider limbs and I forgot what the other one was... And in order to set them on or off, you just had to drag the notification bar down and click Mass Storage. That brings you to a screen where the Android mascot has a USB cable for an arm... I dont see these icons anymore.
The PC saw a USB device when I plugged it in... And it even said something about an LG device. But I still cant access the SD card from my PC or Mac without Mass Storage on... I dont have another phone that can use the data cable but the phone charges with it on the PC/Mac/ wall charger.
also: I looked into the internal menu and it says I have SW Version Info: LG-P500-V10b. Not 10a... and how do I upgrade this if my phone is inaccessible? =c Even the PC suite says that the device isnt responding...
You can delete LGMITS.APK and dex in System/App
for detect phone try turn off mass storage while cable is unplug then connect it to PC again
10A = NEU zone
10B = asian zone
10C i found both NEU and SEA
all rom use same kernel version only interface/language is differ
have you solved this sir??
i have the same problem
Hi! pretty new on this forum...
I was looking for a way to access my USB storage after I installed the latest Andy572's ROM...
Gingerbread - 2.6.32.16 (Kernel Version)
I already flashed it for a second time...
It says whenever I toggle Mass Storage on the extended control application...
"Your device does not support direct control of a USB"
It seems that I just don't know where to access this kind of option. Hopefully you can help me... my battery is charging but the USB icon on the upper left never shows. Need your help guys, thanks!
I am having the same problem... can you pm me if you found out already what to do? Thanks, hope they can help us.
sounds strange, you sure its formatted properly? I had this problem with CM7 and a re-format fixed it (do a backup).
that was my first trial of wipe from Froyo...
thinking that I succeed, i noticed that there's no USB symbol on the upper left
when I connected it to usb... its charging but i can't access its storage through USB

You could try this app: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.protocol.x.USB&hl=en.
so i have a rebranded Cubot C11 named Firefly Mobile S120 .. well the problem is this, of almost 5 ROM i have ported they all share the same Bug .. it is a bug regarding the USB Options when the phone is connected to the PC .. well, USB Storage does mount and work, Media Storage works flawlessly too, Camera PTP, Charging and CD-Rom does work all fine .. the problem is when i change the option ..
Example:
from USB Storage to Media Storage or Vice Versa
when i select a different mounting option, the USB Icon on the Status Bar [or Notification Bar whatever you call that] just disappears and same with the USB Options .. its like the phone forgot that he is connected to my PC via USB Cable .. though the battery still indicates that it is charging via USB Cable ..
well, not unless i reconnect the USB within the USB Port of the phone will then the Phone recognize the new USB Mounting Option ..
i know this is not a serious bug, but i still want to fix this to assure a clean and bugless rom .. i hope anyone can help me with this, please
Hi everyone,
I often transfer files between my Samsung S7 Edge and my Windows PC through USB cable. However, after (making the mistake of) letting it upgrade to Oreo (v8.0), this is no longer possible: connecting the phone via USB to my laptop only shows charging information in the swipe-down top menu, and I no longer get the prompt asking whether I want to allow access to the phone's contents. Consequently, the phone's internal&SD memory no longer shows up under Windows Explorer.
I've been searching for a fix/workaround for hours (thanks Google for this quality time!). Some of the things I've tried that didn't work:
- enable/disable USB debugging mode under developer options
- change "USB configuration" (under Developer Options) to "MTP" and to all other options there
- use a different USB cable and USB port on the laptop
- search for apps on the Play Store that can help with this (didn't find any that actually do the job)
Connecting Android phones to Windows laptops to access their internal memory through USB cable has (bemusingly!) been a problem with this ****ty OS as long as I can remember, so it doesn't surprise me that users are having to spend even more time now to get it to work again.
Any suggestions much appreciated!

Thanks - I tried that, but I still don't see the phone's memory as a USB drive, nor any permission prompt on the phone once I connect it.

Try to reinstall drivers ,uninstall all previously installed use USBDEVIEW tool .

Before I do that, I should note that, when I tried on a different Win 10 PC, I get the USB drive back no problem, so the problem is Windows/PC-related, it seems?!
Turns out that, when using another USB cable, the phone is once again seen as a USB drive. I didn't think the cable could make a difference! Hope it helps others
