So I have several keyboards on my phone. Blackout windows phone 7 gingerbread themed swype themed Samsung. But recently my standard android keyboard just force closes if I try to select it. I can't find it it the system folder to remove it and I've tried reinstalling it with cwm the download from blackhole section in Rom manager this is how I got 3 other keyboards and they all work fine but this did and now it doesn't. Anyone have a way to fix or remove it. Either way I don't care just don't like nonworking stuff on my phone. Thanks in advance for any advice I get that is helpful. The weird thing is it started force closing at the same time better keyboard started forcecloseing so I just took that off haven't used it in months anyways.
I find it hard to be a coincidence, but I got keyboard force closes today, too.
First my Swype wasn't pulling up the dictionary, then I switched to Samsung T9. That gave me force closes, too.
I rebooted and Swype now works properly, but the Samsung keyboard was force closing upon boot.
PS Running blackhole 4.2, using Swype beta was my main kb.
Yea I can't figure it out. For the longest time my swyoe would forceclose then all of the sudden it work then my Samsung keyboard forceclosed then it started working and now my android keyboard forcecloses and its the only one I can't find to remove.............. anyone know which apk it is?
I am currently running JT's Vanilla but I have downloaded and extracted the zips. Here is what you should look for in system/app:
Samsung Keyboard: AxT9IME.apk
WP7 keyboard: ime-mtm-wp7-gingerbread.apk
Stock Keyboard: LatinIME.apk
Blackout Keyboard: ime-mtm-blackout-gingerbread.apk
Gingerbread Keyboard: ime-mtm-stock-gingerbread.apk
Swype Keyboard: swype.apk

Does anyone else feel like the keyboard in ICS is really laggy?
Especially in apps such as WhatsApp. It just doesn't feel as responsive as GB.
I've installed other keyboards such as GO Keyboard and Swift 3 but to no avail.
Any help please?
Can anybody please point me to a ported version of the 4.2 Samsung official keyboard with 3x4 layout for Jellybean 4.3
I cant seem to get used to qwerty and third party apps are just too laggy compared to the stock jellybean 3x4
It will be much appreciated

On my Nexus which is running Google's Yakju 4.3 I have the Google keyboard as my one an only default input method. The benefit to this is I receive the updates to the keyboard even yesterdays update (blue and white color change). On a custom ROM such as CM, the default keyboard is the AOSP keyboard. Is there a way to flash the Google keyboard over the AOSP keyboard making only the Google Keyboard the only available one? I realize you can download the Google Keyboard separately from the Play Store however when this was done while running CM10.2 you cannot disable the default AOSP. Sure you can enable the Google Keyboard as well but the haptic feedback became extreme and the text input would lag. So is it possible to replace the AOSP with the Google Keyboard as it would appear on a device running a stock 4.3?
You can uninstall the AOSP keyboard using titanium backup or a similar root app, but I honestly don't see the point. Just install Google keyboard and set it as default.
