I have Dell Venue 8 (2013)
i installed mx player 1.7.30
while playing mkv files in mx player, i can set aspect ratio or zoom in or out with no problem
but when the screen goes in full screen mode, the video gets stretched, it no longer plays in the aspect ration that i set

Is it just me or does everyone else Youtube video playback not full screen in horizontal view? HD nor regular are completely in full screen. It only shows on 75% of the screen
I use tubemate and you can download the video if you want, and its full screen
The YouTube player might leave black bars around the video if the resolution doesn't match.
I have LgCamera Pro on my I9100G and I noticed something. When the device in 1920x1080 resolution for video recording I can't change ISO. Its stuck to auto. It shows ISO 100...1600 etc... but behaving as auto. In 1280x720 its ok. Even changing encoder or video format its same. By the way not much difference I see between hd ready and full hd in video for this phone. I think 1280x720 is better its also have wider angle in recording than 1920x1080. Any thoughts?
So, I've been pretty disappointed to know that the Nexus 4, 7 and 10 have no 16:9 aspect ratios, which means that widescreen videos will have black bars displaying on the top.
Currently, on my iPhone 4S and 3rd generation iPad, I can double tap and "crop" the video, and this makes the video fill up the entire screen and videos looks really nice. However, on a Galaxy Note and a Galaxy S III, I've tried doing the same thing but they refuse to crop.
Is there something that I am missing or is there no double tap to zoom at all? Thanks.

Mx player has pinch to zoom in videos. I don't think it's there in stock players!
No such option in stock players as far as i know. Double tap will most likely only pause/unpause the video
Thanks guys, I will try out MX Player!
Every time i play a youtube video with a resolution above 360p the video goes further from the screen limit and i can see only 1/4 of it. And i have an hd screen... Any advice?
On my Samsung s9+, using the "Smart View" feature allows me to view the screen and video (from, for instance, the TiVo app) on my fire stick. On my M5, using the "MirrorShare" feature, the screen sharing works right up till video starts playing, then all I see mirrored are the video controls, but not the video itself, it is all black (the sound comes through though). Anyone know why this would be? Is the M5 screen resolution too high to display on a 1080 fire stick or something? (But the samsung has a higher resolution than 1080 display too). Just curious. I can stick with the phone for screen sharing for now.
