There is a thread floating around somewhere that explains how you can restore it if you didn't make a backup. But for the life of me I can't find it.
But it's definitely out there somewhere

I'm using the GT-I9300
I was told to flash to stock firmware but i am totally clueless to what stock firmware i should use as there are so many out there.
dude.. didn't u make a nandroid backup?
Sent from my GT-I9001 using xda premium
nope, no backup was done.
I think its time for a paid repair
Use odin and restore to a 4.0.4 Firmware then reset flash counter and then update with kies to 4.1.1 and your imei should be back if it's not then return it to samsung/the place you bought it from and get a warrenty repair ( and what ever they just say u havent flashed it ever )
any idea to what 4.0.4 firmware i should flash it to.

[Q] How to trick the phone manufacturers?

Hey guys,I hope to solve my problem.I read threads regarding this but couldnt understand.
So here it is,I got a micromax A87 phone a month ago, then I rooted it.I removed the manufucturers RAM hungry apps.Everything was fine, but from yesterday on call(both incoming and outgoing) I cant here the voice, but they can hear mine.Though I can hear them on speaker and headphone.
So now I want to give to company service center so what should I do?
1.Flash the phone with custom rom or
2.Unroot and install all those preinstalled manufacturer apps
I would like to do the second method. So my question is in which method I can fake that device was not rooted so I can reclaim my warranty? suggest if there is another method and how does the manufacturer come to know if i rooted the phone?
Try a factory custom rom. Then remove root. Most manfacturers dont care though.

Well put them back then. And then find a zip or an app that unroots the phone.

Unroot your phone and give it to service center.
Sent from my GT-I9003 using xda premium
There are two solutions
1.you could find another member with your phone and get the apps that you deleted and unroot and give it to service!
Or
2. You could flash stone random rom and brick you device completely and give it back to service saying that it won't start up and hope they don't find out!
Personally I'd suggest you go for 1

I don't know how all just happens.
I have bought an international version of S3 pin pack, break seal with my own hands. .

Just ODIN the lastest Jelly Bean (4.1.1), not the 4.1.2 leak and you should be good to go
How to do it. . If done Odin, my device will be rooted or not?? Sory for noob question I am totally new to Android
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
flashing stock 4.1.1 via Odin won't root your phone
but don't flash 4.1.2 coz it is pre-rooted

csc is carrier service without that there will be no network so that is your problem
the best will be flash your stock rom check this thread for stock rom
P.S before flashing try *#272*imei# to reset your csc may be that will solve the problem if not flash the stock rom

No one wants to help you?
Let me try. Download stock firmware from samsung mobile, find a proper drivera, uninstall Samsung Keis,if you have one and flash stock firmware with Odin. Since you are already in download mode, just connect the phone when you do all the above.
If something goes wrong,write here

I don't think so. There are some software for sure that can do that( mostly paid ones) but i think it's lost cause.
The problem is that you flashed the new firmware, you didn't perform factory reset.
