Hello, when I go to use the ioroot for my LG G2 LG-D800 (Kernel Version 3.4.0) (Build Number KOT49I.D80020u) (Software Version D80020u) I click on the rar file, then click on the ioroot folder, then I click on the ioroot.bat and the cmd comes up and says:
Enable ADB connection..
Developer Options unlocked ON.
USB debugging ON.
Accept RSA key fingerprint.
Press any key to continue...
I have the LG suite installed, debugging enabled and accepted RSA key fingerprint. I put it on PC software to try it and It doesn't recognize that my phone is even hooked up or anything. Wondering what is going on. It's like it's having a communication issue. I think I have covered everything to ask.

If the PC did not recognize the phone then the RSa key wouldn't have shown up. Check your device manager for any other driver issues.

I checked in device manager and there is no problems with any drivers anywhere. Now when the RSA key comes up, does it only show on the phone or does it show on the computer also?
Phone. The g2 can be finicky showing it sometimes. It can come up quickly and get hidden behind the Charge / MTP / PTP interface. You only need to do it once until you reset or revoke permissions in the Developer Options. If it came up, then your connection works. It will not pop up otherwise.

I tried hitting enter and nothing happened. ADB should already be enabled unless it isn't and I have to enable it some where and I have already accepted the RSA. I even tried reinstalling the LG suite but that didn't help. I have rooted tabs and a few other phones before but this one is a pain but then again I am pretty much a newb tho. I even tried Kingo Root and that failed also.

That's just the default stuff - like a check list. I don't think there is an issue with your adb connection because you saw the RSA key on the phone. That does not come up with out the adb connection. What mode are you on the phone? It should be charge to start.

You have any proof that it actually works for the G2? They don't have a list of surported devices. Also, many people aren't comfortable with using Chinese rooting tools that don't have much documentation. It's irresponsible to suggest methods that aren't listed as known working without a disclaimer at least. As long as they are using the right version of ioroot (25) then it'll work.

Because those programs aren't the ones to root your device. You have the right program. You need ioroot v 25. I reread the first post and it seems that you are trying to run the program from inside the rar file. Did you extract it from the rar first??

Sounds like you don't have all the drivers installed and/or don't have sdk tools installed.
And no, there is no other way to unlock it.

Download the latest SDK (search for 'adt- bundle -windowsx86') and extract that file into your C drive.
There will now be an 'adt-bundle-windowsx86' folder on your C drive, inside that is the SDK manager.exe
Run SDK manager-it will create the adb tools you will need AND put them in the "sdk/platform-tools folder"
after the SDK tool opens, you only need to add the 'google usb drivers' (1 item) No need to select that box
as is checked off by default anyway. All other required adb files will have installed already. Install those google drivers
and you should be ready to unlock the bootloader. I would put all the OTHER required files to unlock it in the 'platform-tools folder also.
Then go to that platform-tools folder, hold down shift key and right click in an open area, choose 'open command prompt here' then just follow the tutorial pasting in the commands.it will work...

ive already gotten the sdk installed ive watched droidmodderx video on how to do it and still cant get no where im new to rooting htc phones ive done rooted motorola and samsung phones and their not as hard
I had a issue with the drivers installing from my phone to my pc. I installed pdanet 3.5 (Google it for pc, play store for phone) on my pc and phone. Let pdanet install the drivers, once installed you can uninstall pdanet.
Once the drivers installed I was able to see my device in adb. Sorry if one of the links above were for this fix I didn't click them.

Well if you type the command adb device and nothing and your device doesnt show, there is 2 possible reason for the issue the first is that your phone is not in adb mode, go to the setting/developer options and make sure usb debugging is enabled
the second is that your phone adb driver weren't installed correctly i had the issue when i watch this video because when i was in sdk manger i unchecked the option to install the android 4.2 (API17) package, disconnect/reconnect phone and the adb driver install just fine after that
Sadly there is no other way to remove the verizon cid block as of right now

If you have sdk installed right then adb will be working...then if you follow the tutorial in the dev section (jcase) it will work. I have heard that some older versions of adb didn't support restore and that WAS an issue for me so I re installed the latest version of SDK and it then worked flawlessly. That's why I suggested getting the latest version and reinstalling. Maybe not the problem but you have had no luck with your old version so why not. You need to go slowly and read carefully. The process is really 3 sections, bootloader fix, official HTC website unlock code process and then rooting itself. It takes a while but it's how everyone got there, some easier than others.
Hey guys I'm trying to unlock the boot loader through the all in one toolkit but it keeps saying device not find! Not sure it would matter since you're running commands from ADB but did you turn off fast boot in the power options? Also, I know there's a tool somewhere here on XDA where you can remove all of the android drivers and start fresh. I want to say it's called USBDeview. It was part of the WugFresh nexus 10 toolkit. I used the tool to get rid of all my samsung drivers and also HTC drivers so I could start fresh
Here's a link to the toolkit. Try using the driver installation guide there, it has the tool in it I used to get rid of all the android devices to start fresh.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2015467
This is assuming your drivers are the problem which is what it sounds like
Edit: just use that toolkit for the USBDeview tool, not to unlock your device as it is for the nexus 10. Lol sorry had to just make sure

Right, and I guess I'm saying that it may be worthwhile to try cleaning out your drivers and then starting from scratch with HTC driver and android interface driver. When I cleaned out mine I had several duplicated. After removing them I was able to connect to my device just fine. I can't think of another reason why your device wouldn't connect

ive never had any problems with command ADB DEVICES showing the connected device until this phone. I CANT use htcdev because it makes me download some file called "fastboot-win.zip" and after extracting it wont opne and gives me error message of some missing file which is indeed not missing. And dont you need ADB when you get the unlock token anyway? never had this type of issue before.

You must enable usb debugging to use adb on htc. go, settings, about and click on build like 10 times until it says developer options, then go to settings/developer options and turn on debugging. adb will not work on stock rom unless you do this.
Do you have the fastboot application in addition to the ADB application in the directory from which you are running commands? You absolutely need fastboot to get your unlock token.
Also just to clarify, what exactly does it say when you try to run ADB commands? Simply "device not found?"

ok i got the code to work..now onto the next step.if i have problems ill be back here.

^^This. Windoze 7.
ioroot on a Mac.
Flawless.
Thanks for your prompt response. I tried TowelRoot and it gave me a similar message of not being compatible with my phone. I am running 10B firmware. Although multiple people have told me TowelRoot should be compatible. Weird. Maybe I should wipe my phone and NOT restore from Google, and try again? Maybe something weird came over from my rooted S4?
Sorry about that. (Posting on multiple forums). I was using my mac and my pc, and encountered errors. I didn't think the first post was accepted. I do know the posting rules
Use ioroot. It's the only method that works.
On a verizon phone, you need to make sure the phone is in "Internet - Ethernet" mode. Once you plug the phone in, open the notification bar and click on the USB Connection notification. Change it to Internet - Ethernet.
After starting the ioroot process, it will likely start and then wait for a minute or two before the fingerprint authorization screen pops up on your phone's screen. Just be patient, it will eventually pop up. When I ran it, I thought it wasn't working because the pause was so long. Just accept the pop up and the process will continue on.....
I literally just rooted my wife's Verizon G3 and those two things were what "got" me. I had to research to find out how to do it as it wasn't as simple or intuitive like the AT&T root method was. But once I knew the right mode to be in the process went pretty quick!
Towelroot does not work on Verizon lg g3. I know cuz I tried that first. Ioroot works great tho
Was there any resolution to this? I'm running into the same issue. I plugged my phone into my computer, started ioroot.bat as an administrator, pressed any key and watched the clock and waited a full 10 minutes but still no RSA Fingerprint window.
Try using this set of Vertizon g3 drivers: https://mega.co.nz/#!58YHAZaQ!yNlgZG1m7toHBZp_0HF1jSQ66gMoZmmiDrNq9W5aJIc
Open the .zip, run the .msi file on Windows.
I do not run the G3's auto-install software when I plug it into the PC.
I do set the G3 to "PTP" USB before initially connecting to the PC.
The adb file in the ioroot "bts" subfolder should be okay to run on Windows.
Open a command window on your PC, in the "bts" subfolder of ioroot -- this is the folder where the "adb" file is.
When the phone is attached to the PC, change its USB connection type to Internet, with submenu type Ethernet. At least on my phone, right when I change the phone connection to Internet/Ethernet is when I get the phone popup to accept the PC's RSA fingerprint.
If I then run "adb devices" on my PC, I'll see the random ID followed by "attached", which means I have a good connection. If you do not see that, unplug and replug the USB to your PC, try the adb devices command again.
Then I can "cd .." and run ioroot.bat.
Good luck!
I used the ioroot and it worked perfect once I finally got the rsa fingerprint to pop up. I just kept plugging the phone in and out and I also switched usb ports. I think what finally helped was restarting my computer and I said a prayer with my fingers crossed.

I remember being able to go back and forth between KK and LP no matter the fail attempts of loosing root, Do you have custom recovery? If you do you can easily boot to it by pressing the power button and the volume down key and enter the recovery from there and flash a rom with root, MAYBE I'M WRONG but that is what I remember doing whenever root was gone. I haven't done this in months so I'm not sure, maybe someone else can help you
Instead of using the one click GUI root...use the script root. It's a sourceforge download I believe..
I believe I have tried this....I'm going to look more. Can someone provide a link? In the meantime ing oibg to try to get back to kk not having any luck

Did you have your phone in PTP mode instead of MTP mode? I seem to remember that when I went to root mine I was in MTP mode and it didn't work.
I have tried both pro and mtp

I also had somewhat of a struggle rooting on 24b. The MTP mode didn't seem to allow Adb access. I think toggling back and forth from mtp to ptp finally allowed adb devices to show the device. Wish I remembered which how to I followed to link you to. Do you have Lg drivers installed?
Here is guide I followed. Thanks to digital-bug for guide that helped me.

I have had similar issues with MTP and ADB access on my V985. What I have discovered fixes mine every time is to plug the mini USB into a USB port on the front of my case or into the add-on card. Essentially not through any hubs and NOT directly hard connected to the motherboard. But a port attached to one of the headers IE front of the case ports. I don't have any good explanations for why this works, but it works. Normally i plug my phone in to a USB 3.0 hub and it, normally, does work, but when it does not I go to the front of the case which is a 2.0 port connected to one of the headers on the board.

I had similar issues ( as well as many others) when trying to root. After many unsuccessful attempts I tried a different computer and it worked like a charm. Both were xp machines. Getting a recovery installed was a different story neither machine worked and after a couple days of frustration I tried the autorec app which did the trick.
Try a different USB cord, also uninstall and reinstall the drivers you might have the wrong driver installed.

I have a vzw lg g3 running Android 5.0.1 kernel 3.4.0 software ver vs98524b. I have tried all the one click root systems for the lg devices and nothing will work. Super user installer never runs in download mode and just stays at 0%. Phone also isn't letting me downgrade back to a earlier build using lg flashtool. This is seriously driving me crazy. Can somebody please help me out here.

So I have been trying to root my Moto G Power 2021 all day. I have been following the guide to using Magisk the non-twrp way, and I keep hitting the same snag over and over again. So far, I have successfully unlocked the bootloader, downloaded and installed the latest Magisk apk (Magisk25.2.apk) form the github page, and downloaded and installed the official Rescue and Smart Assistance (LMSA) on my computer. The problem that I am having is that whenever I plug my phone into my computer while I have RSA open, it asks me to authorize the computer to use it, but nothing opens on my phone to give me that option.
Before I am asked, yes I have Developer tools unlocked, the OEM is unlocked already (As I said above), and I have made sure that USB Debugging was allowed.
Please, tell me where I'm going wrong with this if anywhere?
The only other information I can think to add is that my phone IS running Android 11, but I'm unsure if that matters as I have seen other guides that explain how to root on Android 11.
Thanks in advance for any information that can be given!

Yes I did. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling it when you linked it in case I didn't have it installed correctly, and that still did not work.
The below image is what I keep getting when I attempt to connect to RSA with my phone, and nothing at all like that shows up on my phone to verify.
Had you previously authorized the phone on that PC, i.e., using adb, etc? If so, you may not have to authorize it again. Have you actually tried to do anything with RSA or just wondered why the authorization notification doesn't show on your phone? Does the USB debugging pop-up show in the status bar on your phone when you're connected? If so, you're connected and were already authorized.
Other than that, your antivirus/firewall software may be blocking the connection and you'll have to allow the app to connect to the phone there. May also want to check that your USB cord isn't the issue by trying another one with data capabilities.
Please see the N.B. in my signature below.
Thanks! I'll give that a shot and update when I've got a chance. I don't believe it's the USB cable since it's the cable that came with the phone, so I'll try the antivirus/firewall software side of things first.
Small edit:
I forgot to actually answer your question before. No, I hadn't already authorized this computer, as this is actually a pretty new computer (Only a few months old at this point). The USB debugging shows up at the top of my phone yes, but RSA won't do anything unless I authorize it, which gives me conflicting impressions that the phone seems to think it's verified the computer, but the computer and program don't see the verification.

Thank you! That worked! I was able to get it sorted out, AND following the root guide, I was able to get my phone rooted too! Thank you very much again!
@Cloud557 How did you unlock bootloader? I have cricket moto g power 2021 but I checked with Motorola and apparently this model cannot be unlocked? Thanks
