Hey guys,
Recently I ordered the Allwinner A13 (Q88) from DealExtreme. I wanted to flash a custom ROM onto it, but following all the guides I still can't manage to get it. First of all, I noticed that the firmware it came is 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, as opposed to 4.1 as they had written on the site. Anyways, I managed to get the storage drivers (computer can see the device and I can put files onto it), but I'm not sure about ADB, because the computer says nothing when I connect it in debug mode and it just makes a noise that a USB device is connected. I tried using LiveSuit to flash it, and after watching some guides that tell you to hold down the volume + key and press the power button 6 times, I found out it only works when I hold down the power button, and even when I do that it says that the USB device is not regognized (error 43). I have Windows 8.1, but I tried to do the same thing on my Vista laptop, and after I do that there, it connects and disconnects, and says that the device was unplugged. I wanted to know, how can I flash it? Is it a driver problem or the tablet is just faulty in that matter? I tried using Uberizer and that doesn't find my device as well. I would really be thankful if someone could help me out, because I want to install a custom ROM. Thanks!
Have you tried the Tech Know forums : http://www.techknow.me/forum/index.php?board=130.0 ? They are quite resourceful when it comes to cheap tablets or devices.

Hi, I first want to say I am very thankful that you're reading this.
My problem is tablet ematic exp8 just suddenly got bricked .
When I hold power off + volume up or down button, the tablet turns on and doesnt offer me options and only goes to android logo again.
So I have downloaded ematic exp8 image file and usb drivers from their website. I followed some advice and tried to install those drivers but windows said that current version is up to date.
I tried to put image files on SD card but it didnt work.
I tried with LiveSuit but it didnt recognize my tablet.Althought he recognized IMG file.
I feel like usb driver might be the problem since USB debugging is turned off and in device manager Alcatel Andorid ADB interface is listed as driver.
If you have any suggestions please say so.
Hi everybody! First post here so please forgive me if I step over any bounds. I have a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III (SCH-I535 is the model I believe?), OS version 4.1.2 and I'm having some problems rooting/unlocking it. My goal is to use it on the ATT&T network, which I've seen has mixed success when I researched it, but I'm currently rocking an iPhone 3GS so it doesn't get much worse. When I plug the phone into my computer (and I've tested it on a few now), it immediately begins charging, says it's connected as an installer, and by all accounts seems to be fine. On my computer though, a notification bubble pops up and says 'USB Device not recognized' (see pics). I've tried manually installing the drivers for the 'Unknown Device' in the Device Manager, uninstalling the Samsung drivers and installing a slightly older version, bending the tongue in the USB port slightly upwards, blowing in the port, connecting it as PTP and MTP (all solutions I found online), still to no avail. One thing I wanted to try but was unable to is plugging the phone in while it's in download mode. I can restart the phone into Download mode, but at the prompt I can only press the down arrow because the volume up button on the rocker is broken! None of the reboot apps on the Play Store would work for me. So, my question are:
1.) Are there any other solutions that might help me get my computer to recognize my phone so I can root/flash it?
2.) Is there any other way to enter recovery mode or bypass the prompt on an unrooted phone? Thanks a bunch for the help everyone!
P.S. I'm running Windows 7 SP1, and I recently rooted my friend's Note 2 successfully using the computer and cable so I don't think that's the problem.
Wrong forum, this is for the i9300 only.
Hello. I've got a polish tablet Tracer Ovo 2.0 yesterday. Today I was trying to switch nand flash memory with sdcard in the vold.fstab file. Well, I screwed up something and now I have a bootloop on tablet's startup. I was trying to flash stock rom using Batch tool, but when I connect my tablet with pressing vol + button, Windows ( 8.1 ) can't detect this tablet propetly. It's driver comes up with 43 error, so I can't really install stock rom. Also, I can't install new drivers, because when I try to, Windows is saying that I have the latest drivers for this device (wut?). When I turn of my tablet without pressing vol + button, Windows is detecting this tablet as mass storage, but I can't really do anything with it, because of the tablet's bootloop. Is there any chance that I could flash the system, or get to the vold.fstab file using my pc and correct my mistake that I've done in that file? Please, help. I'm a big newbie and guides on the Internet can't really help me, since I can't install any drivers to this tablet now.
Oh, and I'm not afraid of my battery status - charging is working.
Sorry for my english, hope you'll come up with something and help me.
i flashed my Bluewave 8 HD+(Kitkat-i flashed my tab several times before but same Stock OS) using Rockchip Batch Tool provided by the manufacturer's website(http://www.wavetablet.com/wave8hd-ma...irmwareupdates) and downloaded the Marshmallow OS.
The flashing went flawless and after it finished flashing and tried to turn ON my Bluewave Tablet(with its new Marshmallow OS),the device will just turn on with the lights but no display.tried to poke the Reset Hole to no avail. I tried to connect said Tablet to my computer and it works as a normal(working)tablet, device drivers installed. From Computer, said Tablet is now connected as a Media Player device(before was Mass Storage, same as a USB Stick inserted to port) and i can see the storage info of the tablet from the computer.
Problem:
i want to reflash my Bluewave Tablet back to its Stock ROM(Kitkat) using the same Rockchip Batch Tool but it will no longer be detected by the said Tool( all drivers were installed).
Additional Info:
Volume Buttons- NO
Home(Physical)Button- NO
thanks in advance,
Jovi
I know this is too old. but I'd like to answer this since mine got the same problem. I just did some random press both power and reset button while observing Rockchip Tool to change "1" device monitor/status fortunately it suddenly goes green then i immediately 'hit' the upgrade button with the Firmware that works with my device. and viola solves the problem.
thanks bro,i'll get back to you after doing your advice. =)
Hello everyone,
Recently I tried to flash my Freer X9 Tablet (aka U89) with Android 7. In the beginning the SP flash tool was not able to detect the tablet, maybe because of a driver clash. Then the flash process started very very slow and stopped in the middle for some unknown reason. I had to exit the SP flash tool.
After that, the tablet seems to be hard bricked. It does not start, it does not respond at all. On the other hand, when I connect it to my laptop, the laptop is able to detect it as Mediatek USB VCOM device.
I came across some threads which mention Meta mode which can make the device start working again but for it to work, I must physically open the device to disconnect the battery since the battery in this device is not removable. I do not really want to do that fearing that the tablet could be damaged while I open it (locks, paint and stuff).
Can it be unbricked in any way without physically opening it? Any help is highly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
Solved!
Well, I waited for a day and guess what, the battery got discharged. I don't know how. I put the SP tool to download mode (clicked the download button). Connected the tablet to the laptop while keeping the volume up key pressed. I did not release the volume key for 10 seconds even after connecting it to the laptop.
And... boom! it started to flash!!! the tablet works now!
