So I've changed resolution to get better battery battery life (1080x1920 530 DPI) and I've noticed some things have not adhered to the new resolution. Specificallly, the lock screen. The circle clock is flattened into an oval and none of my shortcuts are there. Has anyone found a fix for this?
Have you tried using the Xposed module "app settings?" I'm going to try out some other DPI settings, but I plan on leaving the resolution alone.

I have played with it some, however I'm not sure what to adjust to change the lockscreen appearance.
Usually for the lockscreen you'll need to adjust systemUI

I had already tried that to no avail, tried again and rebooted with no result. However I did notice that the trick seems to be in the Screen (dp) option, however it doesn't give an option for my resolution. Its effect can clearly be seen on the lockscreen and on the Qslide buttons. The Qslide buttons have an odd gray background and the lockscreen circle is even more squashed.

I have no idea why this works as it does, but it does.
If you use Rom Toolbox, go to buildprops and set you LCD Density to 170, the HC status bar at the bottom will disappear and you'll get the GB drag down status bar at the top.
I know, weird right? This may be a help to those of you who hate the HC status bar being right where your palm hits it if you are writing with a stylus.
* I've noticed setting it to pretty much anything over 160 gets you the GB Status Bar. 170 is an odd size and it may cause problems with things like Gmail. If it does, try more standard sizes like 180 or 190.
Confirmed I cannot get Gmail to work with any size other than 160. If you are a Gmail user this trick may not be for you. I am not so it isn't an issue.
I think changing the density to a value above 160 ceases to make it a tablet in some apps eyes. Have you tried clearing the data on gmail to see if it works?
Does anyone know of a way to reduce the font in the notification shade? The font that Samsung uses is driving me crazy; it's way too big and I can barely see half of my notifications at one time. It kind of gets rid of the whole point of the notification shade...one place to quickly see all notifications. I've tried adjusting the font sizes in the settings, but doesn't affect the notification shade and I haven't found any apps or mods that are able to change it. I'm running a rooted stock rom.
Any luck?
I know this is an old thread but was wondering if you had found a workaround?
Thanks

If you have played with dpi on any of the LG phones, you already know a couple things about the limitations
Basically, LG apps can open with as low as 530 dpi with the exception of the Camera (FC when zooming in fully) and the second screen. Many people opt to install texdroider to lower overall dpi while keeping the essential LG apps at the minimum of 530 with AppSettings in order to avoid multiple force closes.
The question is now on the second screen - the second screen is a bit tricky because the "com.lge.miniclock.font.default" will force close on anything lower than 640. The result, when you keep this at 640 while changing everything else to a lower dpi, is a bigger clock font on the second screen when the main screen is off - bigger relative to the weather, date, AM/PM indicator, and the battery icon. (MON 25 8:44 AM)
I currently have my phone at 530 dpi without any issues - but the weird thing is that the font size appears normal at the immediate moment when I lock the phone, then after a few seconds, it becomes bigger again. I'd post a screenshot if I could figure out a way to do so.
Anyone have a fix for this, by chance?
I just deleted the app in titanium backup AND removed the icon from the second screen options

Did you mean deleting "com.lge.miniclock.font.default" or just deleting the second screen app and not using it at all?
I uninstalled the miniclock app. Then removed the clock icon from the second screen "options" and replaced the clock icon with any other app so the secondary screen is not looking for that app in particular. I run the system at 480 dpi. All LG apps were set to 640
You may be able to just freeze miniclock to do the same thing.

I apologize but I'm not quite sure if I follow - how do I access the "options" for date&time when the main screen is off? What app are you using to replace that 8:44 text?
The mini clock is only for the second screen. The lockscreen clock works fine . I run my dpi at 480 by the way

I think we're talking about two separate things. I'm only talking about the second screen when main screen is off.
You had mentioned that you uninstalled "com.lge.miniclock.font.default", at which point you "removed the clock icon from the second screen options and replaced the clock icon with any other app so the secondary screen is not looking for that app in particular."
I suppose my first question is... what clock icon? When main screen is off, my second screen shows "MON 25 8:44 AM" and the only existing icon is the weather icon to the left. The clock (8:44 in this case) is simply a text - of which my problem is that it's relatively a bigger font size than the rest of the text.
Secondly, how are you able to access the second screen "options" for when the main screen is off? The only option accessible seems to be for the signature, and not the Date&Time. http://www.androidcentral.com/sites/androidcentral.com/files/styles/larger/public/article_images/2015/11/V10_second-screen-settings-MAIN.png?itok=pj9kNJfy
Oddly enough, freezing "com.lge.miniclock.font.default" doesn't seem to actually do anything. Even after restarting, the phone still displays the same on the second screen when main screen is off.
This is all I did.
1. Remove/delete/uninstall the mini clock app using titanium.
2. Go to second screen settings for shortcuts. The analog clock was removed from the shortcut options.
3. I added camera and my browser as shortcut options.
4. I Turn second screen off when the screen is off. I only have the second screen active when the screen is on
Reboot.
Then apply dpi in app settings to system and Android UI to 480. All LG apps set to 640. Adjust other apps to preference.
Reboot.
FWIW LG apps can go down to 527dpi which I believe is small enough to have it universally set for all apps. I have my phone set at 527dpi, and minifont deleted. The only app I have changed with App Settings is the camera which needs to be on 640dpi
Can I still set the overall dpi to 540, and all LG app to 640 without the need of deleting the mini clock but switch off the second screen when the main screen is off?
Yep... Backed up mini clock then uninstalled it. Reboot... Used Texdroider_dpi and changed dpi to 540... Reboot... Works with no FC issues. Second screen works also. Lg apps work fine with Dpi set at 540. Looks great with more screen real estate. ???? thanks to all developers working so hard! U guys rock...
Any way for dpi change for h960a?
Hi, has anyone tried a new application by XDA? What are your thoughts?

my navigation bar does not hide...
I'm trying it right now. And it's not too bad. Only complaint is you can't change the transparency so that small bar will always be there. But you can change the size and make it really small so it won't be that noticeable.
So far, it seems like a good alternative to All in One Gestures. Will update on battery life later.

Did it hide your navigation bar ?
It won't hide my navigation bar .
Works pretty well
It works pretty well for the most part, though on apps where they are black you can see a white line on the very bottom of the screen. Which is kinda annoying.

If you want hide the stock navigation bar, I find a workaround using immersive mode. You can enable it in nogaut too using an app called "SystemUI Tuner" and giving to it adb permission through a pc (so without root).
I don't like too much this gesture so i return to stock, but if you want this work.

Don't know why but it doesn't ask for root permission (needed in order to hide the navbar), so you need the adb commands, for the rest it works pretty well.

For hide the navbar you can switch the app proportion for the 18: 9 and set the permissions again. After this, turn off the gestures and turn on. If this not work, restart the phone. For me it works.

Can't find the scale option under lg g6 with 8.0.
There are some apps there but no navigation gestures.
I think with Android 7 I had the option. Now I can't find it any more. Can someone assist?
Or is it obsolete with Android 8 ?

which app did you scaled for make it work? i didn't understand the procedure that you said..
Thank you
I love this app.
My battery autonomy is superb and also have more space on the screen.
But the navigation bar doesn't hide automatically, I used SystemUI Tuner from the playstore to hide it.

Hello, when i'm trying to grant permission i only get :"Operation not allowed: java.lang.SecurityException: grantRuntimePermission: Neither user 2000 nor current process has android.permission.GRANT_RUNTIME_PERMISSIONS." what can i do pls ?
I have the porblem that if I open an app lets say, Instagram or Armorfly Browser, the white line at the bottom just dissapears. Then I was swiping up from the bottom to try and get it back or at least the nav bar, after a few tries, the nav bar and the white line for the gestures were showing and dissapearing all the time, it was like they were having a fight for who will stay at the bottom of my screen haha
Does anybody know a fix for that?
Thanks
I'mf facing the following problem, the app is constantly loosing it's rights
Hi all, I'd like to know if there is some adb setting or app or mod that will let me remove the clock from the lock screen, preferably without rooting. (Samsung S10)

Clock still there?
I removed everything but the notifications, but when I lock my Galaxy S10 phone, the clock is still there. What am I missing?
(And the forum won't allow me to add a screenshot from my phone)

Hey, try going to settings, display, screen saver and setting it to 'none'.
I think I might have had this confusion when setting up my s10
Tried that already.

What you are talking about is the always on display. Which you can turn off from settings- lockscreen-always on display

If you are talking about clock on lockscreen not AOD just choose one of the clock and change colour to black one - last option of circle.
