the phone soft-braked and i cant get to the bootloader !!!
help???
You're not the first user with the same problem.
What you did before it happens? What's your rom? Have you a 4.3 or an older bootloader? Hardware tweaks such overclock, overvolt etc. ?

your LCD got damaged
if you are unable to get to boot loader then replace it
nothing can be done if you can't access at least boot loader
Excluded LCD, is device working?
If you simply bootup it, can you ear the boot animation sound?
Can Odin recognize it?

Me personally I would get a new phone and sell yours for parts etc, of course its entirely up to you. Google some prices and see what you can afford but in my opinion the cost of repairing would not be far off the cost of what a Galaxy S3 is worth now days.:crying:

After I reflashed my Samsung Galax S2 I now have a line running down the middle of the screen. This only appeared after I flashed it. I tried reflashing it a few times but the line doesn't go away. Need help.
Incredibile... Are you sure isn't hardware related question????
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
Already told you it's very likely a hardware problem and you should return the phone to be replaced. Just tell them the line appeared randomly and not won't go away.

that looks exactly like a complete column of dead pixels. are you sure this only happened after flashing firmware? how about going back to the original firmware that didnt have the issue and see if it disappears?
i'd exchange the unit.

I read so many reviews about that... and even the low wifi signal issue... that looked more like a software bug but the display issue warns of a hardware defect...

I'd like to advice don't flash that. in most cases you'll brick your device.

You'd need a dev to figure that out, probably a kernel issue. Try getting one of the devs for your device to make a port of it.

ok so how do i do this? dev does that involve programming
the acho.com website has ICS for C905 now.
@technobucks yea i know but they have serial numbers for it and mine is not in the range given so the touch wouldnt work thats why im trying different methods
wow...you're so lucky that only the touch screen inverted. in most case your device won't boot up if the hardware configuration is too different.

I'll agree with technobucks's advice. even if they have different serial numbers, if the model and the hardware is same you won't get any significant trouble. the succes possibility is a lot higher than trying to port a rom from another device.
yea i tired the one that was made for the device serial to my device and the touch screen doesnt work at all not even inverted so is there anyway to fix
Ps i just flashed back to 2.3

How do you the like the Acho C905? I saw it in a shop and was wondering how the general performance is like. I don't know anyone who has it and so would really appreciate your opinion on the device
My Xperia P detects a USB connection fine, but doesn't detect the disconnection. For example the charging light continues to glow after unplugging. Only way to reset it is to turn it off and remove the internal battery connector.
Are there any HW experts here? I'm quite good with a soldering iron if some component is broken. It's a really annoying error.
thanks / erak

Sorry, I forgot to mention it. Because the error remains regardless of firmware. Bootloader locked and never tried custom firmware. Right now on 6.1.B.0.544

Never mind custom ROMs, have you tried .54 or .75?
Could be HW problem.

I am not saying rooting caused it, just that if you root you lose your warranty unless you unroot. Since you are out of warranty, i think you need to pay as xda does not fix hardware problems

The hardest part is to find the source of the error, could just be a broken trace. I thought someone might be able to point me to the correct location on the pcb.
In Europe you can buy standard components from for example farnell or elfa. If it's more product specific, ebay is an option, or a spare broken phone.
It's a hobby and I've fixed both big and small electronics, for example iPhone fpc:s. But tiny smd components can be hard, if not impossible without the correct tools.
If you don't have anything constructive to say regarding this thread I propose that you send me a pm instead. BTW, your signature is huge.
