I have US Cellular Moto X phone and I need to unlock the SIM. I am looking for info on rooting, safestrap and roms that work with safestrap.
Does anyone have directions for rooting it and installing a ROM? Which ROM works for USCellular, the jellybean one recommended by someone else wasn't available for USCellular
Anyone?
Anyone willing to help?
Patience appreciated. I have an L45C LG phone cdma with net10. I'm trying to root it because the phone company crippled the settings section of the 2.3.4 android operating system PREVENTING the user to change the time. (mine is set to 1980! not kidding - which makes running apps almost impossible). I do not want to activate the phone just to use it as a wifi device.
I found this thread here on how to root - but I'm confused on HOW to actually replace/install a non-LG version of android 2.3.4.
1) Where do I download a "clean" or uncrippled version of gingerbread 2.3.4 which would work with my phone? Thanks for help.

I plan to root my Samsung Galaxy S Grand(the single SIM edition not the DUAL) to be able to update the phone to 4.3 or 4.4 and to be able to uninstall all the carrier software branded application. I would also the install a custom ROM. In other words I want to make my phone a "Google Play Edition" style, like they did with the HTC ONE & Samsung Galaxy S3. The ROM would then have to be a standard basic android ROM.
I plan to root with Kingo.
Here is then my problem, to be able to receive my work e-mail to my phone I need to have the Airwatch MDM Application installed, which then requires a non-rooted phone to work.
So would I be then able to Root my phone, install a custom ROM and then un-root my phone with the custom ROM and install the Airwatch App and getting it to work?
Anyone has any tips to offer? Is there a great guide of how to install a new ROM? Thanks!

First thing the kingo android root is the best rooting software in my opinion even though there is no air play in it so i contact them and told that they will have a new update for the software
so, if you want a custom rom on your device then go to google play an type in rom manager or goo manager both are the same
for any inquiries just mail me a message or just replay it:laugh::laugh::laugh:

I have the same challenge. So far I was able to succesfully use Airwatch on custom roms up to 4.2.2 on my Galaxy S4. After installing and tweaking the custom rom you need to remove root from the rom. From then onwards Airwatch is fine. As soon as you root again Airwatch will detect it and disconnect your phone from the service.
On the S4 on Android 4.3 and 4.4 roms Airwatch wants to use the Knox containers which is only available on stock firmware.
Any custom rom will fail therefore because Knox will be disabled on custom roms.
I am not sure if Knox will be part of the firmware on your phone as well, if not, you can try the approach above with removing root before start using Airwatch
I know this is an old thread, but for anybody who stumbles across it, I have created a module that should fix these issues:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/app-unwatch-root-support-airwatch-t3183082
I've done a search and can't find an answer. I'm still grandfathered under the unlimited data and use the tether frequently. I am on 4.4.2 stock rooted with with Xposed module Moto Tether which works great. I would like to upgrade to Lollipop but need to know if Moto Tether works on 5.0.1. Or if Muniz_ri 's add on zip file here will work. My fear is to upgrade to stock OC1 and then for it to not work and then cannot downgrade.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
I want to root and install a ROM on my G3 but I read that Netflix is blocked on some rooted/rommed devices? Which ROM is best for my phone in general that also allows netflix to be used?
Thanks in advance.
