Finally had the 4.4.2 update. One issue I noticed is with the Notes Widget. The widget shows the contents of the note in focus. But when I switch notes in the widget, I see a blank note. I have to swipe to change to different homescreen and back to the one with widget to see the contents of the note or flip through 5 notes to see one with text....
Anyone got a solution for me?? I also have this issue on my Xperia ZL. It's REALLY annoying, because I used it a lot on my phone. Used it a second on my tablet to see if it's only a phone problem, but it's not...

I seem to have stumbled on a quirk I haven't seen mentioned yet and am looking for help with it.
I'm using folders to categorize apps and when I add them to the homescreen as shortcuts, they work as expected. If however I then add more items to the folder, it doesn't seem to update the shortcuts properly. The number in the corner stays the same and the new items are not displayed.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Yup. Same for me.
Also for the TW app drawer, if I reboot the phone, the app orderings would mess up. I've organized mine to a certain order...and it varies a little bit everytime I reboot which is extremely annoying.
Unfortunately still the case in the new KE7 build. I'm surprised it's not bugging more people, is this not an oft-used feature?
you forgot that there are other launchers , i use go launcher

I don't think this a bug.. it seems that whenever you drag the folder fo you home launcher it is treated as a single entity and not linked to your folder in your app drawer.
The only solution for this is wheneved you update your folder, simply delete the old one from your home launcher and drag the updated one from your app drawer again.

I did a search of the forum and found no applicable threads. This may seem like a noob question and I guess it is. I have had an SGSII running unnamed rom for over a year. It died today and was forced to buy a new SGS III. I am not familiar with ICS and it appears I cannot add contact shortcuts to the home screen. Anycut app is not avail. through the Playstore so I can't use that.
Any input would help. Thanks.
If I remember correctly, there is a contact widget in the widgets tab in the app drawer.

that or use Android Power Widget . they have options that look like the "contacts" widget from HTC Sense.
Hi.
I tested 2 Calendar Widgets but the Problem is the same on both. So I think its a general Problem.
I place my Widget. Configure it.
Works fine. After a few hours I look at my Phone and see that its not up to date. So I try to click on it. Nothing. If i replace it, nothing changes. Really really strange.
EDIT: And when I turn my Phone off and on, the Widget isnt there anymore. What the hell is wrong there? Other Widgets working great.
Could someone help? Or have a better Idea to show me my Calendar on the Homescreen?
EDIT2: Nobody else have this problem? Tested another Widget. The same problem.
I have this issue only with beautiful widgets. I didn't care to add them one more time. I posted a bug with them, not sure if they will look.

Hi, I'm using Nova Launcher and wanted to use the Sony Movie Widget that is scrollable, but I can't find it in my widget list.
When I start the Sony UI, the widget is already placed on one of my homecreens.
Does anybody know, how this widget is used under Nova Launcher?
This isn't a ZU issue, so my guess is that it will be much easier to get a real answer in the Nova thread.

This is common, it happen in all brand phone. Certain specific widget design by manufacture only work in it own home launcher not the third party launcher.

If you want a widget that shows movies (not videos shot with the camcorder), get Moviebrowser uPnP.

It is a really nice movie browser (as you can see on the screenshots) and the widget is also elegant.
When it comes to widgets showing photos etc, the selection is just huge. I haven't checked it lately but I use Photo Grid/Frame Widget sometimes.

I am also a Nova user since I upgraded to ICS and I don't miss the OEM widgets at all since there are so many options and I just prefer to use the third party ones since I can have the same setup regardless of device or ROM.
My phone updated to Android 7.0 about 2-3 months ago. Since then I can't resize any widget the way I used to do it on my old Android - holding the widget until the blue outline comes up. When I hold the widget for a second all I get is red X next to the widget in case I want to delete it. I'm attaching photo of it. I'm really surprised no one has experienced this, since I couldn't find any thread with similar issue, but it really pisses me off. imgur.com/a/BppJu
