Unfortunately LG SetupWizard Has Stopped - Verizon LG G3

I rooted it using IOroot last night, factory reset this thing and now it says that. Anyone have any idea why?

If all you did was root the phone and factory reset then no idea. You didn't freeze anything or mod the phone in any way?
- Tapatalked from the G3

I actually froze a bunch of LG stuff because I didn't like them... Apparently I froze LGSetupWizard or uninstalled it and now I am sitting with a shiny new brick. Hopefully I can unbrick it when I get home; tried at work and the flash tool wouldnt see the device so I was stuck at the log in screen.

Yea you will have to put the phone into download mode and use the LG Flash Tool to flash the .TOT. I had a similar problem after I tried to edit the build.prop (less than 24 hours with the phone and had just finished setting everything up...) and since the file is so large Root Explorer can't open the whole thing and saved an incomplete build.prop. Couldn't get through the setup wizard either after factory reset so had to flash the .TOT.

can someone please help me i have an lg g3 d851 (tmobile). i just got this phone like 3 weeks ago and rooted it..i think i used lg one click root . about a week ago i started having problems with my wifi where some apps would connect and work fine but other apps would not connect. i decided to factory reset (since i didn't have anything on the phone anyway) and when it booted back up i went through the setup process and at the last screen it fails and says "Unfortunately LGsetupwizard has stopped working." and it takes me back to the first screen. I have no idea what to do should i take it to tmobile will they fix it or should i try one of the methods above? if so which method should i do? i dont reallty remember but i think i deleted t mobile my account and google play musi and google play books

Try over in the t- mobile lg g3 area: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-lg-g3
For Verizon we have options to flash a .tot or a .kdz file. Your phone likely has the same options, but you should look in the area with the right carrier- specific info.
Good luck, it's a great phone!

I need help with my lgp optimus lte

Allright, well I am a new andriod user, and about a month or so ago i rooted my phone. I am very technology minded. Found a page that showed me how to do it and a link to a doanload for a folder with the needed files. Anyways I have a lg optimus lte through bell. Yes I am in canada. So last week i decided to unroot my phone seeing as I wasnt using the super user features that I put on the phone. Needless to say now my wifi will not turn on and I have followed to the letter the instructions on how to factory reset the phone and when I do, i get to the factory reset part, hit the power button twice and then the screen flashes to the lg splash screen and just sits there frozen. I do a battery pull and the phone works but it is still not reset or rooted. Anyways what I am trying to say is i need some help reseting this phone back to factory so i can get full use out of it. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Did you ever change your ROM/have to flash back a stock ROM? Or did you just root it and keep the same one?

[Q] I believe I am bricked, can anybody help? (p769)

Before the incident, I had root, no unlocked bootloader, stock JB, v20h.
What had happened was I was trying the Font Installer app in th Play Store because of the added customization that would have been nice.
I found a cool font, and I backed up my current fonts and then pressed install. SuperSU asked for permissions like normal and then my phone restarted.
Then it was so that my phone was stuck at the T-Mobile boot animation after the LG Logo. For about 15 minutes. This is where I believed something was starting to go very wrong. After contemplating for a few extra minutes, I decided to just take out the battery and restart. Same outcome. I thought of all the things that were on the phone thus far because I had just gotten it recently, and decided that it wouldn't hurt me to just do a hard reset by pressing home + vol down + power. Everything went smoothly. Except for the fact that even after I did that, it was leaving me at the T-Mobile screen.
I decided to look on the forums for development and tried to do the unbrick method, to no avail after about 3 hours now. I used the LG User Support Tool and since I hadn't updated to V20f, I decided to do that to see if it would solve my problem. It still didn't, and I'll be honest, I'm a little upset just typing this right now.
I also tried the Upgrade Recovery option and it warmed my heart to see that the process was actually starting. But right at the screen where it says that it is supposed to be downloading something, it freezes up and nothing happens no matter how long I wait. I saw somewhere that it should be a glowing red bar, but I do not see that anywhere, it is just frozen, saying Time Elapsed: 00:12. And before anyone asks, yes, I ran absolutely everything as an administrator.
Is there any possible way to bring this phone back? Any help would be immensely appreciated. Thank you in advanced.

did you hard reset? then turn off your phone disconnect the battery, connect to the pc holding the volume up button? then try the Update Recovery?
i would just go through that process over and over until it works, theres not really a way to brick this phone i've heard...

Thank you for your reply! I have tried hard resetting multiple times, but I had removed some bloatware apps (I will quarantine them next time instead because I don't wanna go through this ever again) and I have tried the kdz method to only be stuck at 15% every time when I followed instructions to the pixel. I have tried to do it on windows 7 and windows 8. I have also tried the fastboot method by lelus, and that manages to "work" but I am still stuck at the tmobile boot screen afterwards. I have gotten the hang of the process of getting into the fastboot, but what do I do from there? I chose to flash ics xloader and uboot, but the process goes by so fast, I'm not even sure it is doing anything. The LG Tool has really gotten me nowhere, it just gives me a lovely error and then cannot continue the upgrade recovery process.
It said somewhere that after I flash through the fastboot I then have to try the kdz method, so I am going to do that now and see if it works. I don't know if there would be a difference between flashing a jb kdz or an ics kdz, but I will just do ics to be on the safe side.
I am quite happy to say that flashing the ics kdz was successful, and my phone is now up and running.

im terrible with fastboot, i used the unlock the bootloader for noobs with an offline flash.
heres what i did to get out of bootloops....
alright, this is all from memory but the offline flash didnt work as well for me when stuck in weird bootloops.
Step one-going back to online flash---->
A---
the easiest way i found was to go to C:/windows/system32/drivers/ect/hosts
right click>open with notepad
there should be two lines at the bottom
"127.0.0.1 csmg.lgmobile.com
127.0.0.1 csmgdl.lgmobile.com"
i would cut them out and paste them in a text doc in the same folder for reference later...
but either way you should remove them from the hosts file and save
B----
Make sure your small server is closed! once you minimize it it should go down to your status bar (shttps)
Step two-LGMS---->
make sure you have LG mobile support installed or install it.
open lg mobile support
install needed drivers for your phone
power your phone off/remove the battery
put battery back in
connect it to your computer holding down the volume up button
S/W UPDATE mode should pop up, if it doesn't preform and hardreset and try again til it works (it will)
then in the top right corner there should be a button or two click them both until you see
"restore update" or Update restore or something to that effect
select that
and let it ride man
i got my phone ****ed many times and just had to keep redoing this until it worked. if your bootloader is truely unlocked you can probably go through all that again and get CM10 working, i did but im still working through kinks.....
GOOD LUCK feel free to ask any more Q's about this process if you run into any problems

[Q] Deleted home launcher

I had rooted my T mobile LG G2 yesterday, loaded TWRP today - THOUGHT I had created a back up, then loaded Titanium (free-so no freeze).
Was cleaning up the bloatware and was doing fine, until (yes, I know I'm an idiot) I deleted "Home" and everything went black. Finally got back to TWRP and there is no saved ROM to restore and it gives the error message that it can't locate the storage.
So I can't recovery through TWRP, the adb doesn't recognize any device and I can't do a factory reset... anyone have any ideas of how I can fix this?
Thanks in advance and please don't revoke my learner's permit. :

I googled LG G2 emergency mode 15 different ways and finally found "GRUB", but it says it not available anymore except FTP, which obviously I can't do.
Sorry for being the noob but could you be a little more detailed on this, as this is my first android root and consequentially my 1st destruction of my phone. I literally have 2 days experience gained from 'attempting' to understand the whole process. :cyclops:

Thanks again. I had already followed this thread, but when I entered download mode, a firmware update started. Stopped immediately at 0% and gave me a "rooted" in red letters at the bottom.
Then found this video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6SGWR0hGg4 and realized that I should proceed anyway. Got to the same point he did at 8:00 but when undid and reconnected the program continued. My just keep saying the phone wasn't connected by usb.

[Q] Phone stuck on encrypting when powering on

**Went to Corporate store and got it replaced.** Close question please.
Alright, so I literally just got the Metro variant of this phone literally 8 hours ago to the dot and I already screwed it up. First I installed the T-Mobile kdz of V20H (and that worked flawlessly) until I decided to install the L9 bootloader CWM. I installed Busybox from BusyBox X (as I was accustomed to when I was using my S2) and it decided to go all screwy on me. I can power on the phone until I am greeted with an error (com.android.phone has stopped) and then Encrypting/ reset phone (which does absolutely nothing). I searched on Google and I got to a thread with the same result. I have tried offline and online restores to no avail. Offline restore usually stops at 4% and doesn't go above it, or it suddenly decides it doesn't see my phone. Online restore, well, that wasted maybe 3 hours of my time because it had no progress bar and the time was stuck at 00:10. What can I do to fix this phone? I guess I can go to a corporate store tomorrow, but how am I going to explain the T-Mobile kdz that's on it and the CWM recovery? Am I totally screwed here guys?

I don't have a solution but my only tip for you is avoid using this tool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2748384 It wipes the partitions off your phone and then reinstalls the os. But it trashed my phone for me because the process failed after it wiped my partitions and I had to get a new phone.

Bricked phone after Flashing Custom Rom

My Lg G5 (Tmobile) keeps on rebooting to recovery mode (TWRP) no matter what rom I flash. I tried using LG Up software but no matter how many times I install the driver phone is not recognized. Firstly I flashed Fulmics ROM then I installed LineageOS (Cyanogenmod) after that phone was working fine for a while till I saw an update and tried updating it to new nightly version. Please help me out if anyone knows how can I fix this issue.
You probably need to put the phone in download mode and then try LG up otherwise try pushing a rom that works through adb

I am sure this method would fix it but I already returned my phone and got new one as I had 1 year warranty. I bought it from T-mobile and I locked the bootloader before turning in the phone so it doesn't look like I was trying anything fishy. Now instead of phone going to twrp each time it goes to boolop saying "device is currupted and won't boot". It won't go to recovery mode no matter what I do and hope I don't get charged from T-mobile saying this and that.
However, I am really grateful to all of you great people who tried their best to help and you sir actually threw me a solution but I was too impatient to wait for it. I know this method will work no matter what as I had been using this tool for my G2 in old days and fixed the worse bricks where I had to openup the whole phone take battery out and stuffs like this. I was looking for this method found everything but LG tool asked me for .dll file which I couldn't find anywhere and decided to give up on it...
Thank you for your help and now I know I am not going to be bricked anymore as I have this method to work with in future issues and am her waiting badly for Xposed to be available for Nougat.

Good to hear that, You are welcome,
And as you mentioned about "device is corrupted and won't boot", that's because you locked bootloader. And as you were using twrp which means modified system partition so phone said that. But you can still go to download mode and use the method to make it live or can try unlocking bootloader to start twrp.
I experienced similar situation. I thought I had to send my phone for repair. As I was able to put the phone to download mode, I used uppercut with downloaded kdz file from LG G5 development thread and restored my phone. I didn't use my phone for four days thinking that I had to take to a phone shop or send to service center. But after careful reading of unbrick tutorials, I brought my phone back to life. Now I can play flashing anything as I am confident that I can easily unbrick my phone.

A few days ago I got my G5 H830 and came with version 6.0.1 h83010i, looking for information on how to install custom rom, I read the post to install the .TOT file to be able to install TWRP and through this the Custom Rom, until there is Everything okay, I did everything right, but then I decided to go back to the Rom stock, on the night of that same day I saw that when I reboot my cell phone it stuck on the LG logo and it had some color pixels damaged (but no screen Damaged, if not because of small brick) then force a restart and continued the same, I did factory reset by stock recovery and then normal start, I went to sleep leaving it in 100% battery, and when I wake up in the morning the cell phone It is off, when I turn it on 5% and I get scared, then I wanted to go back to custom rom to leave those problems behind, but then when I install the TOT again and install the custom ROM it will restart half installed and any rom that installed it would stay Stuck and the LG logo and a bootloop until when it was flash the kdz several times until the cell did not want to ignite more, the pc does not recognize it or anything, I need help with this.
